@MrPavlisha Jutro!
@crazygnius I was above the speed limit most of the time, and I value my life, so if this is slow for you, good luck. You should post your video riding fast at night for everyone to enjoy, this video was just a camera test, like the title says.
I own an 09 ninja 650r and I know that it makes power at low RPM's but you are still lugging it. I wouldn't change gears until your at 6000. You will have alot more fun and it will be better on the bike. If you clutchless upshift around 6000 its smooth as butter.
@1337Brite I'll keep it short - I've got almost 20k miles on the bike and lugging can be felt and/or heard, and I'm sure that I'm keeping the engine happy as it is. 6000 rpm is 2/3 the available revs and is unnecessary in regular riding, not to meniton loud, vibey, and that you're wasting fuel. And oh yeah, the clutch is there for a reason I suppose, so I use it. I usually cruise between 3500 and 4000 rpms when possible, only go higher when I need to get away fast, or in curves/or hilly terrain.
Does this version of ER6F have a fuel gauge (scale) or just that stupid light??? I am planing to buy one, and I do not pay a lot of attention to fuel in the tank, so a gauge would be a must.
I would be greatfull if someone can give me a reply!
@Miki981 Fuel gauges on bikes in general are usually useless, and that's why most of the bikes don't have them. I've ridden a lot of bikes with them and never found even one that you can trust. Both my scooters pin the needle below zero with 1/3 tank still left. The 2006-2009 er6f only has the light, but it works like a charm. When it comes on, I can always add exactly 12,5 liters of fuel (~3l left, that's good for 50 miles+). Just keep an eye on the odometer and you'll be fine.
@dbauernf Thanks man, that was the best answer ever! And You are as right as You can be! The are unreliable... The one I got now left me gassles twice, but the gauge was showing a 1/4 of a tank... As long as the light is reliable, I guess it will be good!
@Miki981 The light never failed me once, and always came on when there was 3,5l left in the fuel tank. However, I still reset the 1st trip meter when I fill up just to be on the safe side if the light burns out (and it will, once). I use the second trip meter as a chain maintainance reminder. :)
im close to getting this how tall are you? im 6ft and want to tour abit... so want something that does not strain my back.. is this ok for day tourss out and normal riding?
@seishin48 Hmm, did I answer your question somewhere? I don't remember. :-| I'm 5'11", you'd be better off touring on the Kawasaki Versys, I should have gotten it instead too. As for er6f, It's not going to strain your back, the position is rather comfortable, but the seat isn't. Take a look at Bandit 650 and CBF600 too, both more comfortable and smoother for touring duty, and both bigger bikes.
Thanks :) And it's not even a proper mount, I just got it "stuck" in a half-open tank bag. Even the camera can only do 15fps :( As for the sound.. the stock exhaust on the 650R opens up a bit after about 10k miles ;-)
hvala na odgovoru.
