This is a good performance. True, she lips along to backing parts but when she actually sings it's quality. I don't think she tries to be fake it's just such a competitive environment that she's gotta gloss and polish her act to remain viable. All singers doing sophisticated multi-layer arrangements that are the standard have to resort to blurring reality for the audience. True authenticity in performance would require banishment of even basic electrically assisted reproduction.
