vx characters suck you would think they would use xp characters cause they were good but by now it should be 3D I used to use 2000 and 2003 it should be 3D now it really should

Too much work... If you have so much time to make a game 3D, and having it as an RPG go make it yourself...

Besides having 3d will make the game lag due to the huge space the graphic and data takes place...

Plus you need to make more scripts, with a picture set with over 100 views per character, unless you have a program that can do it easier.

So 3D will ruin the franchise...

Last comment: RPG is more simpler 2D, 3D will be hard... and you probably cant draw good characters...

Where do you find the script and resources for that? You can use SideView and Animated Battlers or whatever, you know, the one that makes your characters look like XP people in battle, but where do you find the robot graphics?

that's not a script, i got a copy of that game and it's not a script. its different graphics and he put the guy's so called 3d animation in the database animation tab, all he did is made the script active the animation and make it hit the other player that's all.

kai, I can tell you some opinions about EVERY maker.

2k, 2k3: You must collect very much graphics to use it well, but if you have them all, your game will look good. Good for storytelling rpgs.

XP: Best graphics from the makers.Very much pre-installed RTP, good atmosphere. If you wanna be unique, it will take very much work...Slow mapping.

VX: Old Final Fantasy atmosphere. Good for free-storytelling games (Like FF) and you can work quickly with it. I let you to choose :)

Ive been stickin with rpg maker 2003 for years , because xp does get a little complicated.

the best games come from the outer limits of rm2k3.

I found out how to make a bank all on my own.

I passed the limit that years ago people thought were impossible to pass.

I think VX is the best, cus its graphics are less old and sort of, odd. But i no sum people like these type of games that are old and slow, like pacman but it isnt slow. Anyway, in my opinion, RMVX is new, fast, not complicated and fun!

i already found many problems with VX.

1st:

When you use a face graphic, if you make a part of the text will be "shy"...

And with AMS R4 (RMXP)

the text box will be longer because of the face graphics, so the text will not be "shy".

this is ALREADY enough to tell XP is way better than VX, i have 2k, 2k3, XP and VX...

and of these 4 i say: XP is the best.

That's why arrows are up! The one closest to the left is a marker in which you must [enter] otherwise part of the text is "shy". If no face graphics are used, it's still the same but the farther one.

Indeed, XP has a script editor that allows you to implement scripts that allow the use of facesets...BUT THE PROGRAM ALONE DOES NOT.

VX came with a faceset function. XP did not. It's like saying the PS2 is graphically better than the PS3. With a special component it could possibly be, but left alone, hell no, it isn't.

Sorry, I was just curious... why are you guys fighting over this? I like both XP and VX, They both have script editor functions... The main difference is, the VX is made easier for the creator to use, so they made single layer to XP's 3 layers, + they added the Facesetsm so the VX users do not have to add their own graphics, and use event triggs to make face sets.

Honestly, they are both good...

XP - Almost Start from scratch...

VX - Has many new parts to make using it easier...
