How long did it take you to beat Halo Combat Evolved on your first playthrough? IIRC, if I was playing on Legendary without exploiting glitches to exploit the map, Assault on the Control Room took 3 hours alone. Seven hours for a good campaign still feels short to me, I haven't yet shaken Halo:CE and Goldeneye 007 (N64).

The new storyline, while different, I found completely stupid, and, to a point, nonsensical. There are no improvements from MW2. MW2 was plagued with myriad issues, issues that are still present in Black Ops. The graphics (no, I'm not a graphics-whore, but seriously) are actually worse this time around. Again, the knifing....I've never seen something fail as hard as Black Ops knifing does. Also, sniping is impossible. Bullets pass through players without harming them. This game is..bleck.

The campaign is boring and linear, and the enemy has unlimited respawn, as experienced in the tedious Vietnam levels. The AI is horrid, especially your teammates (you touched upon this). The online is terrible, there are a handful of superior weapons that nearly EVERYONE uses, the knifing is once again just plain bad and character animation looks ridiculous.

CoD is getting unfair hate. I played BFBC2 and all them other shooter games and let me tell you. The CoD games get everything in the package done right.

BFBC2 has better online, but the campaign is so dull.

While every CoD game since 4 has brought out outstanding online, campaign, and extra features (co op, zombies, dead ops arcade). In my opinion, the overall package counts.

But if you're just an online gamer, then don't get CoD at all.

I have two issues for this game. First of all, you die really easily. Like it takes two hits and you're dead. This normally wouldn't be a problem, except that all of the good kill streaks require like 9 minimum, so it doesn't really cater to casual players. Second of all, all of the secondary weapons suck and they're all the same, with exception of the ballistic knife which is cool but is slow as hell. Again this would not be an issue except that the came makes you use them when ever you die.

See this is why I like Bad Company 2's multiplayer more. The word "noob tube" is never used because people don't whine about getting hit by one as much as they do on CoD. CoD does have a great singleplayer, but the players on multiplayer are usually a bunch of whiney two year olds who can't take getting killed.
