"The year for priests".. what a horrendous year for them, a year set apart for veneration, prayers and love for our priests. The devil has a sick sense of Irony.
You claim the laity can bring Restoration by reminding the Cardinals. If the Cardinals have already stopped listening to Jesus Christs and have made evil good and good evil, then what ? The only non-violent act is to leave the Roman Church and congregate among the faithful of all the Churches in America who keep the Ten Commandments and hold to the Resurrection of Christ. People
left Europe to escape Tyranny, escape works. In Europe, they have reigns of terror.
@CarmineFragione There are no other Churches other than the Roman Catholic Church. There are certainly no other Christians who hold to the teachings of Christ fully.
While members of the Catholic Church may have fallen away, her TEACHINGS remain pure. No other group can say that.
I will stick with believing what Jesus taught - even if the heirarchy of the Church does not. I will not leave the Church Jesus founded because some members are false
Didn't the woman make a comment about Jesus being a liar and blasphemer when Jesus was taken prisoner?
While at the same time she said he was a good person and she like what he had to say. But now that he has been captured, she now says he is getting what he deserves.
Talk about running away at the first sign of trouble.
@RealCatholicTV Was it not predicted that there is only one more Pope , Peter
the Roman, after Pope Benedict 16th ? Could it be this is the signs of the end
of the Roman Catholic Church ? Shouldn't American Catholics at least consider the evil time is near and they have to separate from whatever Fascist State might swallow up the organization with a false pope ? Would you yet stay,
with such an organization, just because it has an appearance of former times ?
@CarmineFragione >> Was it not predicted that there is only one more Pope , Peter
the Roman, after Pope Benedict 16th
Not by a reputable source which actually tells the truth. The Church is prophesied, by Jesus, to last until the end of time. I will believe Him, rather than some unvalidated prophecy which is meaningless and unauthenticated.
>> Shouldn't American Catholics at least consider the evil time is near and they have to separate from whatever Fascist State might swallow up the organization with a false pope ?
There mere fact you think this is possible shows your ignorance of the nature of the Church. The Church CANNOT fail. There may be an anti-pope, but we must give our allegiance to the true pope - as Catholics have done in centuries past.
To say "We should separate" is idiotic and heretical. The Church is still perfect. You are basically saying "Things are bad! Run away!" Erm, no. There are evil men. Why would we leave the ONLY Church in the world, the Church founded by Jesus and the Church which He promised would never fail?
To leave the Church is to display a lack of faith in Christ.
@RealCatholicTV what does it mean, " to last until the end of time." Is that the end of the Universe, or the time appointed in the Book of Revelation ? Do you accept a time line of the Apocalypse with signs detectable ? Most Christians think the apostasy inside the Church is one of the signs . What does Jesus mean to say " or else if you will not repent, I shall come to you and take your lamp stand from it's place" ? (Rev. 2, 5-6) you seem to reject this as impossible.
> (Rev. 2, 5-6) you seem to reject this as impossible.
Erm, no - I don't reject it as impossible. I just don't believe YOUR interpretation which is clearly wrong.
Jesus promises the Church will remain perfect forever. You do not believe this. You are calling Jesus a liar. You are not a Christian. This conversation is over. Do not discuss this again here.
@RealCatholicTV I accept the premise of the Authority of the Teachings, of the
Historic Catholic Church. I question the process you suggest. Sticking with what Jesus taught, may require you to leave the Bishops to their fallen church, for they may not honor anything you suggest about restoring the church organization they own and give to political evolutions. When Jesus came to the Fig Tree that bore not fruit, He cursed it to death. He did not ask it to restore itself.
@CarmineFragione >> Sticking with what Jesus taught, may require you to leave the Bishops to their fallen church
The Church is not fallen. To suggest she has is heresy. There are evil men. WE do not leave. THEY do. Why should we go from the Church which has authority and is perfect?
Your entire argument is based on the flawed premise the Church can become corrupt or fall. I might remind you of certain promises made to the first pope. Again, a scriptural lesson.
Your statement implies that all Cardinals have turned evil to good. That is an extremely overstated point. Many have stopped being in union with the Pope but no religion is without wolves in sheep's clothing.
Especially when there are many wolves within the Catholic church who are deliberately seeking to destroy the Catholic church. The church itself is not bad as the secular media wants everyone to believe.
@CarmineFragione But if the Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life, we can't just leave the Catholic Church, since only in the Mass can we receive the Eucharist.
Thanks, Michael. And the more we Catholics live our faith, the better will be the vocations who serve a Church that is worthy of faithful examples of the faith. +Peace+
These are difficult times, indeed, for the shepherds of our Chrch and the need our support more than any previous period. I give my support as they ask forgiveness where they have erred and exercise with humility, their role as shepherds of our Church.
By renewing our minds to the mind of Christ through prayer we succeed. This Vortex edition show all of us how to move forward and address the issues of the day.
I'm praying for the end of the culture of omertà in the clergy. I've wondered why hardly any priest - from die-hard liberals to adamant conservatives has not spoken out on it and turned in their predatory brothers. Omertà explains it all. And what is that omertà? A code of silence; an extreme form of loyalty and solidarity in the face of authority. This has to end or we get NOWHERE.
@michsylvan Collegiality in the Church has undermined the authority of the Pope. Bishop Conferences have destroyed the independence of each bishop forcing them to go along with the majority vote. Only the Pope has authority over other bishops!
A good and holy priest once told me that "we get what we pray for" in regards to our Bishops. There certainly is plenty of blame to go around. We must make everything we do a prayer . . . pray unceasingly!
Let us all pray for our bishops and priests, not just for our own, but for them all. We speak of the responsibility of the bishops, but have we as the flock prayed for them? I fear I have failed in this. Thank you, Mr. Voris, for this timely plea.
Lord let not your name become a by-word for the nations, not for our glory, but for the sake of Your Holy name. In the name of Jesus Christ our lord. Amen.
Thank you again Michael! Please help us all to remember how beautiful and Sacred our parishes still are, and how wonderful, hard-working, and good our parish priests still are as well. The reputation of our parishes should not suffer because of these rare cases, yet I fear they will. Let's all remember to stand up for the overwhelming truth: Our Church, and our parishes are still Sacred, Beautiful, and Safe places to worship.
This has gone too far!. Now I get messages from people calling the Catholic Church the new Sodom!!!
In the name of God, please every Catholic man and woman, let's take the rotten OUT of the doors of the Church. We have to stand and fight for the truth Christ has given us and not allow agents of evil to further damage us from within our Church.
Mike,
Love you show...
May God continue blessing you...

I call it "cowardly running away and abandoning the truth of Jesus Christ because it is difficult", but each to his own, I suppose.
People left Europe because of persecution by PROTESTANTS, not Catholics. Heck, most of the Americas was and is Catholic! Get your facts straight!
And, again, where else would we go? Jesus has the words of eternal life. And only in the Catholic Church is Jesus Christ found in the flesh.

Until time ends. Until there IS no more time. The end of the world, universe, everything. The end of time itself. What is hard about the phrase?

Given that Jesus Himself says no-one knows but the Father, not in the same way you do.
