  • I enjoyed the hell outta watching this very cleverly done video -- thanks.

  • does it really matter whether these great singers are black or white? who cares.........

  • why are people confused about Lou being blk or whe?

Do you Lou have blk back-up singers?

Is this the official music vid?

  • I have been searching for this song for quiet a while. Was this in a cult film from the seventies , a kind of teenage horror thing. Thanks

  • This is GREAT!! I'm 50, and this is one of the first songs I remember..

  • that was pretty clever, I enjoyed!!

  • Loved the animation. I almost kept looking for this song because i was looking for a woman, black or white, but I was very surprised to find a white man.

  • this is nice , good job !

  • Cute. Just heard this song in 1981's Strange Behavior.

  • dumb

  • pretty cool why didnt you tell me about this yesterday when i brought up lou christie

  • lol love the video and song

  • !? I was looking for Dokken!

  • hes white btw

  • 1:11 LMAO

  • Funny thing is, when Lou was first touring and he was going to appear on a road show, no one knew he was a young white guy, they thought he was a young black woman. When he was waiting to go on, someone asked, "Where is she?"

  • @Mgarguemare That's the whole reason I did him as a black, sadly some people see that as racism rather than see it as it was meant, I love black music, it's been in my life for 24 years & is and always be the music I listen to most KTF!

  • @GreatPastime But he's not black.....just because you love soul (black music I love it too) doesn't mean you make the white guy black thats just stupid. No offense intended it just doesn't make sense.

  • @Mgarguemare cool story, thanks!

  • Not that it matters what color/race the performer is but the video i saw of him singing this he had 3 black women singing back up, maybe that's why she did it. I think she did a great job. Everyones a critic. How many of you could of done this? I could play it on my guitar but no way could i have done the animation. GOOD JOB, GREATPASTIME!

  • The execution was so crappy it was creepy.

  • its awesome ....good job!

  • i always liked this song, but i assumed it was frankie valli. and i couldn't exactly remember how it went. after a lengthy search i ended up here. thank god.

  • 1:02?

  • How can anybody think this is done by a black guy? Sounds like Frankie Valli and the four seasons

  • There is no god after this attempt, without doubt DIRE or as Peter Griffen would comment " DONE "

  • Pretty good first attempt. If a little predictable.Except the black bloke that was funny.

  • neat stuff. the male singer looks just like my friend Dylan, its remarkable the similarity .

  • way KEWL 11 hours well spent

  • Good job...thanks

  • Fun! it put a smile on my face...:)))

  • Lou Christie is white...nice try.

  • @iamzorg1 I know he is White, read the comments, I think a few people need to lighten up, this video was done to entertain people who have a sense of humour, if you don't like it, dont watch it. Simples!!!

  • lou christie wasnt northern soul, thats a term to describe soul singers from england, he was from pittsburgh pa usa.

  • @bluehairspaz , Just so that you can start to understand what you think you know & to stop you making a further tit of yourself....... Northern Soul is the term used in the UK for a type of mid-tempo and uptempo heavy-beat soul music (of mainly African American origin) that was popularized in northern England in the mid 1960s.

Now be sure to read up on the subjects you're trying to tell others they don't know what they are talking about smart arse. :-)

  • A old favorite

  • Liiiightning is striking agaiiin! (:

  • i dug the animation! thanks! p.s. great song!

  • She's just a kid- give her a break. We all liked hearing the song again.

  • @twocost You should be killed for your lack of a sense of humour too no doubt. Get over it

  • hsahsahahahahah lol funni

  • The only irony here is that Lou Christie is white........

  • Comment removed

  • @jazzkeyboardman haha hahahah

  • so much different from the Nomi version :o

  • At first I thought this would have no replay value, but then I realized your sense of humor made it worth watching again.

Nature's taking over ... mountain, forest, stream, and TOTALLY NUDE. (sans Erector Set)

    Live by my rules!

If she gives me a sign...

Well done, I would watch your other vids based on this.

  • @DownNeptune Thanks! :-)

  • Lou Christie is a guy right? cool lil vid but he is a dood right ? or am i wrong? just wondering...

  • Lol yes he is a guy

  • Great animation and great song! Thank you!

  • I'm glad that most people can see the lack of racism in my animation, I have been a fan of mainly black soul singers/artists for over 23 years, surely if any racism was intended then my music collection wouldn't be 99% black American rare soul. KTF soulies!!

  • Well done you! Man, that song brings back memories. Mid 60s I think!

  • well seasoned, provocative!

I did like it and who cares if the people are Afro American, I think it was well done..

  • Love the animation...well done

  • cute. nice job!

  • this is a classic no one makes songs like this any more

  • not bad at all

  • good 1960's memories

  • this is basically the best thing that ever was

  • U look like g erman munster in your photo!

  • @luisinio1 Did anyone say that is me in the photo? just curious like

  • This is the greatest thing I have ever witnessed. Ever. Ever.

  • this was the most terrible ting i've seen the first time.... and now i'm actyuall having a good time laughing at it. Love the lightining pics. really cool stuff

  • Hilarious

  • hehehee... this was awesome, well done!

  • I think the video was great....and funny...the girls are cross eyed LOL

  • klaus nomi ripoff!

  • @hello986958 In English?

  • @GreatPastime:

    Great,

I believe what hello98654651 was trying to say, was that Klaus Naomi was a freak who liked to scare people, and that he should NOT be considered a serious musician in ANY way, shape, or form.

  • @hello986958 I'm a Nomi fan, but Lou Christie's song is the original. Klaus did many cover songs. You should know this.

  • @hello986958 this was the original version klaus nomi made an ultra creepy cover of it this was made in the arly 1960s

  • This song has grown on me.

  • thanks great video man

  • great song and a great vid, nobodys time wasted here. Well done!

  • Lou Christie isn't black, obviously someone robbed your sense of humour, that's if you ever had one in the first place, your 1 negative comment has no bearing really when you read all the others does it. Maybe if you go and waste your time looking at things you will like , you will feel less strongly about a strangers humour whom you have never met let alone spoke to, besides, it was done to fill my time not waste yours and I had a brilliant time making the video!

  • what a stupid thing to say

  • You tell em! I enjoyed it...it was funny

  • One word, AWESOME!!!! I live in Northern California and we are about to get nailed by BIG storms, so I figured I would look up lou Christie and found this and I love the job you did in Eleven Hours of Work.

  • Hi Coxrox, I'm glad you enjoyed it and I hope thestorms weren't too bad

  • lol!!! what a totally funny video... very cute

  • i feel bad that this took you 11 hours.

  • LOL!!! NICE!

  • Many thanks for this!

Because of your work, one word in my mind - lightning - and one Google click, and my past comes rushing over me again!!

  • oops I ment awesome lol

  • Awsome! Good job!!

  • Yes I know he is white. I did him black on purpose, the video is meant to be fun not serious :0)

  • I was just kidding; not being critical.. you did a great job.. I have no clue how to do the stuff you did.

  • lou christie is white!

  • she must be thinking of the Lou Crispy Minstels LMAO you are tight..his backups were white too. LOL

  • right,,, sorry LOL

  • lol shes totally covering up. why would it be funner to make them black?

  • Good song, decent art, but i agree with above comment, why does the color of somebody's skin make this lady thing she is being comical, i think she didn't realize that they were white, made them black and didn't have another 11 hours to re-do this project. if she was an recognized vocalist and i made an animated music video of her as a black woman, would she think it was hilarious?

  • It's a funny little video for a song, it's meant to be enjoyed not offensive. And while it may not be completely correct, i highly doubt it's going to really hurt anyones feelings that badly.

  • @orthoman51 I guess I didn't realize they werent cross eyed either eh?

  • @urchinau Because they weren't?

  • great video

    love it !! make more!!

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hilarious!

I love the backup singers that only appear when their little part comes on. Especially when their mouths shout "stop"!

  • Awesomely Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

     =]

  • Great work by "MYSELF" LOL

  • caution: wrath of woman..hilarious

  • Lou Christie is white...lol but great video!

  • Good Work!

  • "Do as I say bitch!" lol I loved this

  • that was the funniest most ridiculous shit of my life.

    i loved it.

  • why is this no longer available?

  • Haha! Oh my God! I was just doing some reminiscing, which involved listening to this song (I remember my mother used to listen to this song) when I came across your version. Very nice "Lightning Striking Again" reprise.

  • that was pretty funny thanx for the laughs

  • EXCELLENT SONG! Hilarious animation!

  • good audio

  • alright well forget what i said and lets just leave it at you did a good job at the animation

  • one prob with the video lou christie is white

  • It was never made to be serious, the whole point was to add a little humour into the video which hopefully I have acheived

  • Bruce Springsteen borrowed the Telecaster/Esquire riff for "Born To Run".

Bruce has a great sense of what worked in Music's past and he's not shy about resurrecting a good riff.

Of course Lou's people borrowed it from Bo Diddley who probably invented it tuning up after breaking a string and kept it.

  • LOVE THIS SONG!!!! One of the best songs ever

  • Nice job on the video. I like the song too.

  • great job

  • If you think that his voice is high on this song check out his other song "two faces have I".

The amazing thing is that he can still hit those notes!!!

  • haha that was great!!!!

  • Dude! This Video is "classic" It makes me smile...Big time...Great Job

  • Brawn!

  • Cool!!!

  • I thought it was a lot of fun! I sang along and I really LUV this song! Thanks.
