He actually doesn't HAVE a transformation. His robot mode was designed before they had an alt-mode in mind. Which is for the better, because now he has a kick-ass sexy robot mode! ;)

Actualy ILM developed there own 3d software for the movie.....

@CelestialStudiosEnt actually ILM only used their own software for a few small things. Most of the building and animation was done with Maya. They also used autodesk inferno.

From what I've heard, Soundwave would be an MP3 player dock if mass shifting is allowed, and an FBI survelliance van if not. These are just rumours, however.

I really didn't like Frenzy at 1st in the movie because he was kind of an annoyance to me he kept coming back. 1st he was a Stereo, 2nd was a phone, then the 3rd time he cam back as himself because the allspark restored himself back to normal.Now for some reason though i think he's cool!

Well, the guys at ILm made a program that runs on a mathemathical equation, so every part of the robot-mode hides well in alt-mode.

Frenzy sort of turns inside out, so i makes sense.

If you could see how it transforms, it wouldn't be "realistic" enough.

This CG's great, but they should have just stayed with using the reference puppet that they made, like Doc Ock's tentacles in Spider-Man 2.

they said Frenzy for the movie was originally gonna be soundwave, but they're saving him for something special. or it's just taking them a long time to think of something practical that soundwave could be.

It true but they ran into a problem with size and whatnot they say once they've "figured" Soundwave out they'll put him in.
