@jtzproductions It's an old song nobody is actually sure who wrote it but their are many different versions with altered lyrics of it in different countries
Probably pushed the repeat button for the 7th time i love it !! makes me wanne book a vacation to ireland and visit all pubs and drink all the whiskey there is :D ( not very girlish i know but hey I dont care ! ;)
@hylkeenteroittaja continued; ..The American metal band Metallica brought it to a wider rock audience in 1998 by playing a version very similar to that of Thin Lizzy's with a heavier sound, and won a Grammy for the song in 2000 ;
@tyrconnellabu... The Dubliners have been singing this song for about 50 years, but they didn't write it. It goes way back to the 17th century, to the days of the Rapparees or Highwaymen. The narrator is a Highwayman and he speaks the Highwayman’s demand when he says, "stand and deliver." He mentions rapier and pistol, weapons that were popular in the 17th century. So it’s over 300 years old.
Cool song and some neat shots of Ireland. I'm reaching for me whiskey gonna leave me pistol and me rapier behind. Whack fall the daddy O there's whisky in the jar.
nic pics!

The "best version" would be you singing this song with your pals completely shit-faced.
This could be the second best version though

¿Podrias añadir la letra, por favor? Es que algunas frases son dificiles de entender para los que sabemos poco ingles, gracias.
Could you add the lyrics, please? Is that some sentences are difficult to understand for those who know little English, thanks.

This is Luke Kelly, the most distinctive voice I've ever heard, he's in a league of his own.

@Jaguar62amerstd
Not quite sure what you mean!, The Dubliners wrote the song so therefore Thin Lizzy must have covered their version, if I'm wrong please correct me.
