  • THE BEST!

  • I liked the period when Sting wore his pyjamas on stage.

  • @FrisbeeG I preferred the overalls

  • Best Rock trios: The Police, Rush, Grand Funk...who else, fill me in.

  • @chickenwretch ...and maybe Emerson Lake and Palmer, Robin Trower, Cream, JimiHendrix Experience, Nirvana, James Gang...think I'm showing my age, any newer groups comparable?

  • @chickenwretch ...ZZ Top, C,S, and N, Green Day, Blue Cheer, Ten Years After, The Clash (or were they 4?). Keep them coming Wretch.

  • @chickenwretch Greenday & Sublime & Primus

  • @rastabean1 Soundgarden too?

  • Awesome. Thanks for posting!

  • Insanely good! Just remembered why I love the Police..

  • copeland is immense

i saw him playing in an obscure italian folk project and he puts so much talent, energy, and honest belief in what he does that can make any music-lover eyes water

  • He's one of a kind!

  • so ahead of their time

  • UNIQUE sound is the word...bloody masters . !

  • This is just stunning: pure intelligence transformed into music. As Ian McDonald said, The Police are the las great improvisatory English band. Here, Sting seems to be ill (Stewart looks concerned at him at 2:36) and his voice is going, but the bass just amazes. Both Andy and Stu are also splendid, and the song itself is a dictionary of loneliness and pain. Thanx for uploading this marvel, EiDy2.

  • Who would believe all this beautifull sound is produced by 3 guys, amazing song and played fantasticly....everthing fits perfectly

  • realy made the song there own, just what this shows all about, its a yes from me

  • @smlyrsfrts It's always been their own... Sting wrote it.

  • This sounds awesome. Where did you ever get this? What a treat.

  • esta cancion , la tenia en un cassette de cromo , en los años 80 y los escuchaba en una radio sony ...muchos bonitos recuerdos..

  • Police best song and only 14,000 views. I guess anyone who listens to this song must be one of the CHOSEN FEW.

  • Too damned awesome. I friggin' love Stewart Copeland.

  • man, the sound Andy is getting out of his guitar is simply unreal...

  • Only three musicians...but they are filling it up rhythmically and musically. This is one of the best videos of live music I have seen on YT.

  • WHY ARE THEY SO DAMN GOOD... it makes me feel like nothing

  • Amazing this vídeo of The Police! Braziling people loves RYTHM like that! Estudio rdp-100% Sucesso

  • the perfect police song...showcasing equally the skills of copeland, summers and sting. muy bueno.

  • notice sting is playing a fretless bass, not one bad note hit by this genius player.

  • @HealingVibrations Absolutely - to play a fretless with that kind of intonation while singing... you must know the neck by heart

  • youtube should declare itself 'unwatchable' at night time..can't download any tunes between 8pm and 12 midnight

  • PLAGIO DE "MANA"..."TE LLEVARE ALCIELO" .....UP THE POLICE !!!!

  • gay

  • this is still stewarts song ...

  • @toxicologymd nooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it's sting's song! the bass line is superlative

  • Love Copelands effortless style. He throws allsorts in there and it's perfect every time.

  • the police were amazing

  • Fucking brilliant.

  • How come this guy can perform live like a studio recording every time! Amazing!

  • take notes. stewart copeland is one of the best drummers to ever set foot on the damn planet

  • @Kobeownzu81

Agreed. This guy was my biggest drumming influence when I first started back in 1982.

  • @Kobeownzu81 He is the shit! He made me want to play the drums when I was a kid. His kit was nothing short of amazing, and he'd hit every last one of those toms and cymbals in every song!

  • @Kobeownzu81 yes he is !!!

  • @Kobeownzu81 just the BEST my friend!

  • @Kobeownzu81 YEP totally agree

  • @Kobeownzu81 without doubt he is right up there.

  • @Kobeownzu81 Sting was the only one who never got that memo, unfortunately. How do you inherit the gift of getting to play with Copeland and then want to play with someone else??

  • this concert changed my life. I have it on audiocasette somewhere, this is better, thanks!

  • 2:40

  • ... and again, that improvisation part... absolutely brilliant!!!! Pure class!! And how fantastic does that snare drum sounds! Those 3 guys are giving a masterclass what improvisation and skill are all about.

  • @aldopeer Nice ! really fantastic!!! the imprevisation with de bass and drums is perfect

  • Yay! I can't hear enough versions of this song. Thanks for the upload.

  • No problem.

  • @Auntkekebaby Agree 100%. My favourite Police song done at the peak of their power. It was nice to hear it on the reunion tour, but then for some reason they dropped it from the set.

  • @Auntkekebaby Yea, I like the improv they do on it. Much better live than the studio version, even though that's good too.
