  • how could 33 people not like what they just saw, WOW!!!!????

  • Yeah I could put a uniform on and demand special attention too. When your time is up shut up and wait to speak again later

  • Why did that one guy stand up clapping?

  • YEAH, THIS GUY IS AWESOME.... normally you wouldn't do this sort of thing, but I've done, only difference being that it was over less dramatic circumstances and subjects.

  • "Crazy Vet" ..really? Where did that term come from, where was that started? What's crazy is those serving, willfully and happily accept they may die defending your freedoms, what makes them crazy? ungrateful, undeserving, unappreciative leaches who disrespect. The crazy turns into frustration when the very country and Government we believed in and followed blindly, turns its back on you and the realization of everything you thought you were fighting for was a lie. its all a lie.. thats crazy

  • Get a haircut you nasty Hooah

  • @skook13 Shut up.

  • 2:25 wat u lookin sad fo?

  • an why exactly cant the people say the bored is fired????

what gives them the power to have Mr. ames escorted out of the room for speaking for the people?? why dont we have the same power??

    think about it.

  • All of those old farts behind the tables don't give a crap because they know they're gonna croak soon.

  • Can someone post a transcript? I can't understand half of what he's saying because of thew crowd.

  • @RehnFendal there are captions, click on the "CC" button in red to enable them

  • *claps* That was awesome, I must admit. It's really nice to see a serviceman so passionate about his beliefs and his rights.

  • @blkyaris08 Yes, because someone willing to stand up for other Americans rights makes a bad name for the Army. I served in the military and did multiple tours, and I would gladly have this guy leading me into battle. He is willing to stand up for his fellow Americans and be a leader. This is the guy that would be saving your ass! And who cares about his hair? He's a vet, he is no longer enlisted...besides I've met some sf guys with hair not much shorter they must give a bad name for their branch

  • @MikeTrottermb i agree with you this guy is truely inspirational!

  • @blkyaris08 The long hair was to give to a cancer patient who had lost theirs. I thank God we have people willing to stand up for the lost liberties that are continuing to occur.

  • I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the sound of me enjoying my own voice. Fail JC.

  • holy shit, you guys are full of opinions

  • Okay the link to the speaker's Youtube page gives no info. The letter on his Facebook page, I finally found. I thought his full response was on his Youtube page since you kinked that. The letter: highly dramatic with the only suggestion of cutting the pay of the YCCD administration. I doubt that will balance the budget. Really. The buildings currently being built are paid for by bonds; a totally separate budget. What were the graduation/degree rates for the depts that were cut? very low.

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 not sure why you'd think the speech was on his youtube when right below it, on the facebook page, it says that's where it's at.

check the new video I put up, it will probably allow you to relate to the veteran's position a lot more:

    /watch?v=LS8TvRF_gxo

it shows many plans given to balance the budget at least for individual disciplines, points out many factual fallacies in the plan, shows the ignorance of the Board, etc. and yet the Board passes the proposition apathetically.

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 The graduation/degree rates for the departments are irrelevant as the video I just linked you shows, which I'll link again:

    /watch?v=LS8TvRF_gxo

Many of the departments cut were semi-vocational ones, ones where people were getting jobs within one or two semesters of classes in their field, both locally and in/out of state. Many people transferred to a 4-year college and did not get their AA, just went straight to BA. Going by that variable is a bad idea for budget cuts.

  • @azuritereaction Watched the video and didn't hear anything that came close to amounting to $8 mil in cuts. Do you have more info about what the alternate cuts totaling $8 mil would be? I'm totally sympathetic to the teachers and students who have their programs cut, but I haven't heard a complete alternative yet. Only criticism of those making the decisions and criticism of individual points in the cuts. Again, what does the board benefit by doing something so unpopular?

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 Not totaling $8 in cuts, but I think you're missing what the video was pointing out.

Multiple plans were brought forth that would have made departments getting cut (such as the Culinary and Wawona child care center) 100% self-sufficient with no need for the school to fund anything in it besides the single teacher that's in the department's wages. There were other departments with similar plans/speeches but I didn't have the time to fit them in there.

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 I'm not sure if you know this, but every department that got cut only had one single teacher, with maybe 2 exceptions, for the entire department. Meaning, they could have cut, say, 3 teachers each from English, Math, and History and saved the same amount of money, and allowed 9 different disciplines to stay at MJC.

  • @azuritereaction Again, what does the board benefit by doing something so unpopular? The answer is important.

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 They benefit because of politics. Almost all the teachers who got removed were heavily liberal or democratic, and the majority of the Board, especially Loewenstein, the President, as far as I know, is heavily right-wing/republican/conservative.

They also really aren't affected by this at all: at least one board member (Linda) is getting a massive payraise, hers is $80,000, so really they could care less about who is still teaching, apparently.

  • @azuritereaction I'm sorry man but that just makes no sense at all. You really think these board members and the president of a cc went about trying to determine who the instructors are who are lib/dem just so they could cut their jobs? Really? All about repub v. dem politics? As far as the pay raise, it does her little good if she gets voted off the board, assuming she is elected like the others. If the other board members aren't getting the raise then why do it? still too simplistic.

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 considering one of the teachers got suspended for making comments about the board, and he was a veteran and liberal, along with other substantial evidence to bolster this from faculty's experiences, along with the fact that Loewenstein's two favorite disciplines (music and theater) are the ONLY arts divisions untouched even though they are using just as much of the budget if not more than other courses, yes.

I'd say many of the other board members are getting the raise too.

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 not sure if you know this, but modesto is about 95% republican. It's extremely right-wing/conservative, possibly the most conservative town in California if not the West Coast of the USA. Very, very few people here are openly liberal, and those that are usually get quickly "outed" by the conservative mass of people and end up having very small circles of similarly liberal/left-wing friends, like myself.

  • @azuritereaction Most conservative town in Ca or west coast? I don't think so. It sounds like your really into the conspiracy theories. I like a good conspiracy theory myself, but these about the YCCD board and Modesto politics is a bit odd. I live here and have never heard this stuff. So if the MJC admin is so right wing how do Van Jones and Desmond Tutu end up speaking there. I'm not connecting any of the dots in your theory. Oust lib instructors? There are plenty still there, good ones.

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 lol dude, i'm not into conspiracy theories at all. I grew up in this town since I was born, google it, wikipedia it and look at the demographics of the town and the fact that it's voted vastly conservative in elections and everything else for decades.

Notice right at the beginning of the second video I put up with multiple speeches, the teacher says basically what I'm saying, that it's politics and such going on here. Just because you haven't heard it doesn't mean it's false.

  • Yeah i told people it was pointless to do protests or organize any type of protests in a COMMUNITY COLLEGE. people these days

  • @RaulTheSunshineMan info, read it, generally people should read the info before commenting on a video but i find almost no one does unfortunately, because in cases like this it would save commenters from proving they missed the entire point of the video

  • @azuritereaction ummmmmm i did lol Even if he did fight about the time-limit thing, it was still associated with the budget cuts. he kinda lost sight of what he was arguing about as he became angered by the whole situation

  • maybe he can wear his uniform to a long line at Wal-Mart and demand that he go to the front of the line, cuz he has some tampons that he wants to exchange. He can wear his uniform everywhere and demand that he has rights over every other American citizen. I think the reason that he has such a superiority/inferiority complex is because he's so damn short. I would want to be the man, also, if I was only 5'2". It must be tough.

  • @Bugdisease i'm lolling at how many people aren't reading the info and don't know the backstory like you didn't, yet make ignorant comments like this. it's comedy gold

  • Hows this fucking fobbit going to be talking shit, he doesnt even have a CIB or CAB, what a fucking joke he is to the uniform.

  • @Bot2Talk2 info, read it, generally people should read the info before commenting on a video but i find almost no one does unfortunately, because in cases like this it would save commenters from proving they missed the entire point of the video

  • Not a very productive use of time at the microphone, even if it was one minute. By the length of his hair it appears he didn't leave the militay anytime recently, so, why was he wearing the uniform? Because he planned on doing something like this? I doubt he just randomly puts on the uniform and goes about town. Unfortunate bad behavior. Would his former superior officers have been proud of this display? I think he has been watching too many movies. Should've made a constructive point instead.

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 Fuck yeah! I agree with you all the way. This guy is a fucking douchebag!

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 info, read it, generally people should read the info before commenting on a video but i find almost no one does unfortunately, because in cases like this it would save commenters from proving they missed the entire point of the video

  • @azuritereaction I read the info. It still does not change the fact that the verbal destroying, as you call it, was a waste of time that could have been used more effectively. Make a point instead of chest pounding. And why the uniform at a budget meeting for a community college? Was that choice of attire just spur of the moment? Shouting down a woman and throwing military service in the faces of the board members? For what? It is ineffective, as shown. Just my opinion, I know all don't agree.

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 when i put up the collection of speeches other people gave, you'll probably see why it wasn't a waste of time. A few things to consider:

    1) Prior to this, many, many points had been made, solid points on fixing the budget alternate ways. By the time he got up, there wasn't much else to say.

    2) The board had flat out been apathetic and ignorant of these points.

    3) Up until now, the board had basically walked all over people, with no respect to how life-changing this all was.

  • @FanOfLiberty1776 4) He had a full speech ready to give: check the info for the link.

Basically, imagine your business was about to be shut down due to some budget cuts. You have a working, solid plan to re-work the budget to prevent said cuts. You present it to a board, the board ignores your plan and doesn't even look at you most of the time, is apathetic, and rushes the hearing along.

Then imagine another 20 people come up, and the same thing happens. I imagine you'd be pretty pissed off.

  • @azuritereaction What does it benefit the board to just ignore any other budget suggestions? To imply that they could just consider all alternate suggestions is just too simplistic. If it were that easy it would surely be to their benefit to make as many alternate changes as possible, and avoid the very heated criticism. Wouldn't it? It seems there is more to the process than meets the general criticism, otherwise why wouldn't they do more popular cuts and save their reputations? And jobs?

  • @azuritereaction What does it benefit the board to ignore other budget suggestions? That just seems too simplistic and counter intuitive to do something that the board doesn't have to but will get them the status of the most unpopular people in the room. If they could just have taken all the aternate suggestions and went with the most popular and still reached the needed cuts, don't you think they would have done it? And save themselves the very heated criticism? and maybe their jobs? Really?

  • We need more people like this. People that stand up for their rights. People that stood up for their rights in the way this country was started.

  • Really stirs up quite an appreciation for a leader.

  • I believe he was mad at the fact that the board was cutting down the time the speakers had. They said they would git 5 minutes to talk but ended up to only have 1 minute.

  • I expected this to be something really important, but I hate to say I agree- this seems like wasted passion. He's complaining because the board of trustees from Modesto Junior College cut people off at a budget cuts meeting?

And WTF is with the uniform and the ranting about being a vetern, serving, and sacrificing? Throwing around the weight of the uniform to get your point across kind of seems like a dishonorable thing to do.

  • @TheOnlineCommunity please read the info, i wish it was mandatory that you had to read the info before commenting on a video.

It's so, so much more than just being cut off at a budget cuts meeting.

  • @azuritereaction I did read the info. He's a moving speaker, but emotional, passionate, moving speakers at local meetings are a dime a dozen. Honest question- what's the point I'm supposed to take from this? That he stood up to "the man" in the face of injustices? School budget cuts are a shame. Always have been, always will. However, these things ALWAYS end up the same. They don't listen. One ranting army vet isn't going to change that.

  • @TheOnlineCommunity It's supposed to get people to notice that these things ARE happening, where school boards are basically steamrolling over students and screwing them over with flawed, factually inaccurate plans and no one is really doing anything about it: it's supposed to motivate people.

While this particular video doesn't offer any solutions to the problem, Isaac's full speech, linked in the info does, and other speeches in a video I'm about to put up offer solutions also.

  • @stsmjc10 i'll be putting up a video of a compliation of speeches here tonight, linking this to it, so people can see why Isaac was so passionate.

  • drama queen! if you're gonna wear your uniform and go on about how it makes you so damned important, then at least do it for a cause that's worth getting howling mad over. instead you rant on about the smallest of details and try to make yourself out as a martyr for a cause that has little meaning. At least you've given yourself a big boost of self-rightous confidence. I respect your years of service to this country, but feel that you are simply giving more weight to the term "crazy vet".

  • @Bugdisease What you dont know is a lot. The uniform doesnt make the man, he is pleaing a case that is very important to him. And you making the comment that its nothing to "get holwling mad over" makes you arrogant. He expresses his right of speech and is arguing a case that is unfair to his education. Learn to listen to peoples story befor saying something like that please.

  • That's a warrior right there. I salute wholeheartedly. That uniform looks damned good on him.

  • He has a right to wear the uniform--he earned it when he signed his name on a dotted line willing to give his life for our supposed rights. The BITCH on the board reminds me of every single spoiled rotten brat on the elementary school playground. She is not sorry, not one bit.

  • Everyone should have left after the cops showed up lol

Top effort standing up for the rights of their fellow people :)

  • From one felow serviceman to another. Isaac, bro, you sure know how to make yourself heard. Great job brother!!!! Johns

  • just to makwe things clear im the guy in the video with the mohawk and tatoos. Aparantly I said something that was uncalled for. And no I can't seem this comment. @Azuritereaction I know you you are, and you know who I am. Could tell me what UNCALLED for comment I made?

  • @Syddevil ? not sure what you mean, i never said you said anything uncalled for? maybe you're mistaking someone else's comment for mine?

  • I am enjoy this. This is a shining example of freedom of speech. I'll probably get tons of hate for this, but I can't believe how many people are avoiding the point and focusing on the use of his uniform.

  • You'd think a soldier would be used to following the rules...

  • @Private00Ryan that's specifically why he's speaking out, because as the info shows, the Board broke the rules time and time again.

  • @jonbotkin1 You're right about the 12 years thing, I misunderstood your 12 MONTHS at Camp Liberty, forgive me my mistake. I do apologize for my mistakes. Its one of my characteristics, I own my screw-ups. Know that I meant no disrespect to the uniform, or my branch that it represents. I also apologize for any confusion, and I hate lying and liars as well. I hope you do understand that the outburst was because of my protectiveness of others' rights and not me just wanting to make a scene.

  • Congratulations for honorably fulfilling your duty twice and I'll leave it alone.

  • IF you're not lying about ANYTHING then I apologize for insisting that you PROBABLY are. It does satisfy me to hear you say your uniform was chewed up and you shouldn't have worn it because it was the whole point I was conveying. I don't know anything about your school there's no reason for me to have an opinion on what you say about it. Just that you wore what you wore, when and how you wore it. If you think you shouldn't have worn it, next hopefully you won't.

  • If it makes you feel better I'll say it: my uniform was chewed up and I probably shouldn't have worn it. SPC Soderstrom 1-487 Det 1-184 00-03, 1-10 AVN 10th Mountain Div 04-06, LSA Diamondback 05-06.

And you know what, this world needs ******* heroes, because for some reason, there's never enough. So you can call me a liar, but how about you try talking to me CO and ask him about it. Matter of fact, you can look me up on facebook yourself and see the pictures.

  • when did I ever say 12 years? I never said that. you're confusing me with someone else.

  • Did I say I was deployed as a FO? No, For my first bit of the Army, back in 2000, I was one, then there was this thing you can do called reclassing, so I did. Then I was Aviation, then I deployed. You see I joined well before 9/11 when it was the popular thing to do, and I've been out of the Army for 5 years. Does the timeline add up now? Question: how do you go from 12 years of service to 5?

  • Admittedly, the whole thing gets under my skin, deeply. I care because I served and you're cheapening what you and the rest of us have done. Your school is another matter which I have no opinion on, you have a right to speak on it. You have no moral right to reference your service, especially inaccurately, in doing so. You disgust me. GO ARMY. SSG Botkin 1-58th AOB. Camp Liberty 08-09. **** you, you liar. You're trash.

  • Other service members are standing up strongly for you via comment and on the surface, rightfully so. Most people aren't going to dissect what you're wearing or saying in a trivial youtube video because they have other interests. They saw someone garnering applause in uniform and standing up for something. That's the surface. A closer look shows that it's too bad it wasn't someone genuine in this video, maybe wearing a hat to show the VFW you belong to. Nope, you needed be a ******* hero.

  • You're so drastically in the wrong for the way you're handling yourself and so delusional that you probably believe everything you're saying. Just know I see through it and have met others like you. I know I won't get any positive feedback for calling you out and I don't need it to know I'm right. I've discussed this with a couple friends today to see if maybe I'm missing something, I'm not. People praise you on here because they are GOOD PEOPLE who care about military men and women.

  • The most simple answer is usually the most true- and that's why I'm pretty sure you're full of crap on more than one account. You're LYING ABOUT YOUR SERVICE AND EXPLOITING YOUR BASIC DUTY FOR PRAISE. I AM A VETERAN! I SERVED FIVE YEARS PROUDLY! I WASN'T PERFECT, I SCREWED UP ON MORE THAN ONE OCCASION AND I ADMIT EVERYTHING GOOD AND BAD ABOUT MY SERVICE AND APPRECIATE THOSE WHO APPRECIATE ME. BUT I DO NOT EVER LIE ABOUT A SINGLE EXPLOIT OF MY DEPLOYMENT OR REFERENCE THE PRAISE OTHERS GIVE ME.

  • Now you're a forward observer who fought on the "front lines." Which means you also deployed as a forward observer, then had time to earn aviation crew member wings before you deployed to Iraq again. Then you got out and had months to grow your hair out but not a day to fix your uniform to account for your numerous accomplishments. You're a hero, but because I called you out for your soup sandwich uniform I'm a nitpicky E-6 with FIVE years of service who just doesn't get it.

  • because I've found worthless comes in all ranks. But when you have Marines telling you good job, and they're the sticklers about uniforms, yet have some ex E-6 telling you otherwise, its easy to see someone might need to reevaluate their position. Scroll up, you're part of less than 3% of everyone who's had an opinion of it. Again, when you're here fighting the fight, you can talk to me about it, until then, you're a man on a computer complaining about a dude who actually did something. Good day

  • I was adopted, so I have not only the last name I have presently, but a biological one. So I have had two last names in my life. It's like a maiden name with women, which must be very complex to you. Ames is my BIOLOGICAL last name, Soderstrom is my current and LEGAL last name. I would expect this would be difficult for someone, who did over a decade in service and didn't make it past E-6, to understand. In simple terms, when you get a Marine to tell YOU Hooah, come talk to me about it,

  • It was my job to protect everyone with the overwhelming firepower. In this I was standing for the rights of EVERYONE and showing them how to exercise them fully. I've heard from Marines, Sailors, Airmen, and Soldiers of all ranks, active and retired, but it seems you're one of the few that want to nitpick the issue. Fine. Now this last bit I'm going to use very little words so you can understand it since it's obviously a difficult thing for you to comprehend. MORE>>

  • to address that they weren't allowing anyone their basic rights. When they tried to silence me, I made a stand. Right or wrong about what I was WEARING, what I had to say about how people were being TREATED a great many believe was more important. It should have been a civil discourse, but the Board didn't facilitate that. Before I was aviation I was a forward observer and operated with the infantry, I didn't work on aircraft or sit in a air control tower, I was front lines. MORE>>

  • @junbotkin You're right, proposing solutions isn't immature, but it's also impossible when everyone is relegated to such a nominal amount of time no one can full speak. When I watched this Board disregard their faculty, staff, and community as a whole it became apparent that they didn't care what anyone's proposals were. When I demanded that 1st amendment right I wasn't just demanding it for me, but everyone else. When they tried to silence me, I didn't back down, because someone needed MORE>>

  • Kid ? I think not -- go through Basic Training and see if they are kids ! What do YOU know about service ?

  • More people need to stand up to local, state and federal governments across the world. Through out history, the only way there has been change is through revolt.

  • your last name is Ames but aonther name is on your nametag plate?? whatever, specialist.

  • you're entitled to your opinion. When you're here, taking a stand for the people, then you can tell me the right and wrong of it. You're not my CO or otherwise, but if you'd like to have a few words with him his name is Anthony Zarcone, he's on facebook and he'll square you away. You can have a debate with him about everything, but as for me, I've got better things to do with my life than have a back and forth with someone's opinion on YouTube. To me, it's childish and immature. Good day sir.

  • @isaacames Proposing solutions to presumably unecessary budget cuts at your school isn't childish or immature. I certainly am entitled to my opinion and my response to your behavior-made-public isn't childish or immature. Immature is your decision to try to connect your service to your subject matter, wear your uniform in an incorrect & undiciplined fashion, and act unprofessionally & without reserve while wearing it. Then demand your 1st amendmant right be honored for your service. Super lame.

  • not do anything in the first place. Please forgive me, but if you look through the comments, I have support from those of all branches that understand the message that's being conveyed. I'm glad you know your regs, but this wasn't about the budget cuts, this was about a group of individuals not allowing people to speak freely. I was explaining that the service was for everyone, and that I will not relinquish a right I earned just because some lady bangs a gavel. Make it whatever you wish MORE>>

  • my former commanding officers opinon: "I'm proud to have served with you bro'. Thank you for showing us all how it's done."

A great many concern themselves with the particulars of a situation, I'm concerned with the principles that they arise from. When I see those in authority disregarding those without it, it's my obligation and duty to stand up for those who don't have my strength. Perhaps you're right in my failure to address the situation properly, but I'm tired of watching people MORE>>

  • @isaacames If your first priority when returning from deployment wasn't squaring away your uniform then it should have been your first priority when you thought about wearing it and then irresponsibly posting it on the most viewed public forum on the net, My point WAS that you failed to address the situation properly. As a hypothetical, If I were your first line, this either wouldn't have happened or you'd be explaining to my CO what happened so I didn't have to. Ridiculous.

  • @jonbotkin1 Also, my promotion points were low, twice, despite how many I had. However, it doesn't matter what your's were because you weren't sent to W. Leadership Course anyway. It's not denoted on your uniform and it wouldn't matter that you didn't put it together, you would have completed the course prior to deployment. Too many holes in what you're saying and it's a shame you and countless other pain-in-the-ass soldiers draw in whole-hearted praise from civilians that are proud of you

  • @jonbotkin1 um, i hope you know that I'm not Isaac, right? I recorded this without him knowing it and asked him for permission to post it later, he had no idea any of this was going to go up on youtube, much less an account with 90k subscribers and get spread around.

  • before being able to promote. Air Traffic Controllers have low ones, mine were almost always at 678. I wasn't doing anything for the ribbons or rank, just for the service and soldiers. To wear anything military in a public forum is usually frowned upon, but I notice the other veterans that spoke were immediately glossed over when it was there time to speak. When I was in the Army I represented the Army, now, I represent the people. You're entitled to your opinion, but if I may offer MORE>>

  • @jonbotkin1 I already posted on the subject that you're speaking about. After I got home from deployment the first thing on my mind wasn't getting my uniform squared away. In this you're right, it's missing alot, a service stripe, combat stripe, and obviously a few medals. When I spoke of my service I was speaking about it being for the service of all, not just Board members and those in positions of authority. As an E-6 you should be familiar with the requirements of promotion points MORE>>

  • I take pride but display a necessary humbility in wearing that badge. I don't shout "I served in Iraq!" out of respect for those whose jobs entail they serve in direct combat, i.e. an infantryman. This soldier is making a mistake. If he has any sense he'll not use his service as leverage to speak (LOUDLY) at a school assembly ever again.

This is nothing more than a video of an immature kid seeking applause and reverance for doing nothing more than his duty. And my duty. Frustrating.

  • @jonbotkin1 read the info, you'll see why he acted as he did. this video isn't about being a veteran or bragging about being a veteran.

  • @azuritereaction I lightly browsed the information and understand the subject matter of the assembly isn't service-related. All the more reason to NOT be wearing an Army Dress Uniform while shouting at civilians over your 1st amendment right at their school assembly. A mature, professional demeanor and appearance in a proper setting is where you can, without humiliating yourself, wear that uniform. Speak loudly about budget cuts but not by using your service as leverage, repeatedly.

  • It's very likely his lack of progression is due to being a problem soldier. To wear the Class A uniform in a public forum like this is frowned upon, especially given the nature of the assembly and his lack of class and professionalism. Wearing the uniform, you represent the US Army, not yourself, or your fellow soldiers' personal opinions.

He's wearing an Aviation Crew Member badge, denoting his classification as a 15 series enlisted soldier, or a member of the Aviation branch. MORE>>

  • and did the same basic duties he claims to have done. It's highly unlikely a soldier would display a GWOTR and not an ICM. Its commonplace to receive an achievement ribbon for serving in combat, he has none- typically denoting poor conduct. It's very possible and based on the video probable that he never served in Iraq. He is only a Specialist after 6 years of duty, that lack of progression would weigh negatively on his supervisor and be a problem for him with his superiors MORE>>

  • I was a Staff Sergeant (E-6) in the Army (Air Traffic Control) for 5 years, I served 12 months at Camp Liberty and another year OCONUS. I'm disappointed with the soldier in this video & I'm anxious to point out why. Isaac claims he's a 6 year veteran with a year spent in Iraq. He has 4 ribbons, none of which denote having spent time in Iraq. 3 of them are allowed to be worn after completing basic training. The other is for 3 years of good conduct. I left the service with 8 total ribbons MORE>>

  • but it has also been put out that as soon as the government is able to they will be paying the soldiers who worked back pay for the time that they worked. and some of the service members who are not necessary and required will also be put on "furlough", noted they will not be payed as it will not be counted as leave, and they will not be payed as they will not be working at that time either.

  • i'm in the army, have been for 5 years now, and recently reenlisted for another 6, i've also had a tour in iraq. i understand the soldier's point of view, but at the same time i dont think he has fully understood or researched what has been said about the soldiers who will continue to work even with out pay. yes we are obligated to work with out pay yes that sucks (continued in another comment)

  • Reposted in my cities (small) Subreddit, posted on my facebook, and plan on spredding the word tomorrow at class. This guy is really, truely amazing. Srs.

  • So.. this "meeting" is about Budget cuts?. This soldier is standing up because they won't let the people speak?. I couldn't read the description, with my dyslexia i pop in things from other lines so if someone could just tell me.

I do agree with what he is saying, he should be heard and that woman should have stopped counting the time and listen.

  • Post on my Facebook, where I have about 1500 friends. Hopefully it gets some buzz, because this video definitely deserves it.

  • i think the whole original purpose of him speaking is getting lost on people. this shouldn't have been about fame, but supporting the students at MJC. but i guess people will use anything to get any kind of fame. congrats on getting this video out.

  • @Tralfamador5 Getting a video well known = the message gets to more people. The more people it gets to, the higher likelihood that someone in power who can actually make a difference about this situation would see it.

That's why I and many other people have been promoting this video, in the hopes that someone will see it, read the info, see how the students were treated, see that we need help, and that again if someone in power has the power to do so, they might be able to help somehow.

  • @azuritereaction I understand that you are trying to get the message out. But on Tosh.0? Honestly, I feel that Daniel Tosh is a sexist, racist, dumb comedian who would not know a joke if it bit him in the ass. I feel that there has to be a better way of reaching out to people. and I think it would be more of people thinking of it as a joke than a serious political cause.

  • @Tralfamador5 Some people would think of it as a joke, sure. But looking at the comments here, the majority of people don't read the information anyways.

So I'm assuming the people who could actually change something about this situation, would actually want to be informed and read the info, etc. and not take it as a joke.

Let me ask you this: if your business was going to close down unless you got a donation from a "sexist, racist, dumb comedian", would you take the donation or close down?

  • @azuritereaction close down. gladly.

  • @Tralfamador5 well, i don't know what to say to that then. I care a lot about the material I put out, both in video and anything else I do, and if something I'd put my life into (like a business) was going to close down and I had no other options, I'd do whatever I could in my power to keep my business alive so long as it didn't harm other people.

  • @azuritereaction well, it is really up to you. it's your video, do what you feel is right. i just think going about it this way is a horrible choice.

  • okay...im calling bullshit on your views at this point... Its cool you can fluff numbers... most of us know how to do that...but it isnt a very honest way of pretending your video is important...

  • @jaysmithbiatch you do realize that 1,714 people have linked this on facebook right?

most of my other videos that get 2,000 views only have like, 5 links on facebook.

also, my account has 90,000 subscribers, so in reality, if all of my subscribers viewed this, I should have way more views than this lol, this isn't even that many views at all really

once i send this around and link it to a few sites i plan to get this up to 100K views. you can't fluff views up on youtube anymore, actually

  • @jaysmithbiatch the average facebook person has 200 friends, even if only 10% of those friends (20 people) looked at the video each time someone embedded it on their facebook, that'd be 34,280 views.

Then take into account that on on twitter it has 83 people who've linked it, same thing there, so another 1,660 views.

And finally as said before, my account's got 90,000 subscribers, so it actually should have more views than this. Do you think all these commenters saying they loved it are fake?

  • @goodboy196 What's RJW? Forgive my ignorance.

  • people should send this to RJW. wooo it will explode. lol ive bin seeing this get like 4/5k views practically every day.

  • We need more people like this. People that aren't scared to speak their mind. Most people feel they are worthless in a situation like this but the power is in the people. We have anger in our souls that waits to be released but most of us are petrified and useless when it counts. I want to meet this guy. Thanks for posting this.

  • This vid is coming up at the Political Science club meeting at my high school, and i'll be proud to share your position Isaac. I am a tad disappointed however, since the motherFing lady wouldn't actually let you talk about what was actually going down.

  • To everyone:

Thank you all for your support, I appreciate it greatly and hope that we'll make a difference. I'm at a loss for words to describe how much it means to me that you've stood by me in defending everyone's right to speak. I do wish I would've kept a better check on my emotions towards the end, but if you saw how they treated people all night you'd probably be pissed off too.

Lasty, if everyone would repost and share. Let's take this Board down a notch or two.

  • "there are other people who wish to speak..." no one wants to speak because this guy kicking their fucking asses for them as if he was the embodiment of every last fucking one of those people there. rock on man.

  • Modesto Junior College can suck my dick this Veteran rocks!!

  • Is it Söderström or Soderstrom?

  • I am a conservative. But what they did to that man. That is not justice.

  • This generations Mario Savio.

Bout damn time, we need to stop cutting education, it's not helping anyone.

  • I would like a transcript of this

  • @beckyboomerang there are captions

  • @beckyboomerang it wouldnt make any sense... still...lol

  • Looks like Booger from Revenge Of The Nerds

  • What the fucks a Frush?

  • @azuriteraction & @Sailorjeff0 I'm not a Democrat, actually I'm a Republican, fiscally anyway. I believe in the rights and equalities of all people, so I'm Liberal in certain aspects. I have an amalgamation of beliefs and I think it's time to drop the old hat and pick up a new one. I believe it's time to start a new party with new ideals.

  • @isaacames yeah i know, that's why i said you were conservative fiscally but liberal otherwise, at least that's what your info said haha

  • @isaacames Yeah I agree completely. I believe the "2 party system" is dead in the water. It's really a 1 party system but people get fooled into them being different because they call each other "nazis" and other garbage like that.

  • I went to a Catholic school, and the schools in our area were seeing a huge decline in enrollment - everyone had been switching to public education. We, as students, weren't even given a chance to voice our opinions and suggestions. They didn't care about what anyone else wanted. They merged all 4 schools into one. It was the worst decision they could have made.

This man is my hero. He fought to give these people a chance for their right to voice their opinions, and did a fine job. Thank you!

  • what a BAMF

  • Wow, look at all those dirt bags in the audence just sitting there with scowls on their faces.....must be the Obama Democrat set....

  • @Sailorjeff0 the vast majority of Modesto is Republican, myself and the veteran are mainly Democrat.

  • @azuritereaction Well, I stand corrected then. Sorry about that. It did seem like a equally mixed group of supporters and detractors though. I guess my comment came off very crass though.

I have been watching your videos for a long time and I definitely dont want to be known by you as some kind of troll or something. Keep up the good work dude. I especially love the old throwback PC game commentarys you've done over the past year. Comedy gold!!!

  • @Sailorjeff0 it's fine man, no problem :) and there are more of those coming

  • @Sailorjeff0

And I am a social democrat who cares not for either party.

  • @Subrick I'm a Marxist-Lennonist. I am inspired by Groucho Marx and John Lennon.

  • Who was the guy who stood up with his arms out? What was he thinking?

  • @Tralfamador5 he was protecting isaac from getting taken away by the security guards lol

  • 4:30 whoever said "YEESS" needs a flap with a fish...

  • I love what he is saying, but I hate how he is delivering it. If only he could say it in a less crazed way and earn more respect with his opinions.

  • @Twichl you have to have been there to see why this really was the only way to deliver it: the board was very apathetic and was basically unmoved by people sobbing and crying and pleading, so that's why he was this way.

  • @Twichl agreed!

  • Next year my school is firing about ten teachers and cutting 6 classes. Seniors get to have four period days though but its really sad.

  • @Felor1216 YOU SHOULD HAVE ISAAC COME YELL AT THEM!!!!

  • incredible. got the blood pumping. this man is a leader

  • I am humbled and in awe. F'n awesome.

  • Thank you and reposting to my Facebook. You know, it gets me. If Westboro Baptist Church protested these vets, they'd be allowed to exercise their First Amendment. Why are these men removed?

  • This is almost as popular as PIANO CAT!!!!! whoooooohooooo!!!!

  • For the criticism about Isaac's hair...he's growing it out as a tribute to the life of our friend Terri Sterner who lost her battle with breast cancer just days before her 36th birthday. He's dedicating his hair to Locks of Love.

  • @kizmetbaby

How could anyone even think of criticizing that bad boy?

  • I hear some Rage Against the Machine coming...

  • APPLAUSE AND CHEERS! IT';S PAST TIME THAT WE THE PEOPLE STOOD UP TO THESE STOOGES WHO INFRINGE UPON OUR DEMOCRACY.

  • Wow, is your name really Dezmond Castner? I never knew that! Anyway, interesting video, I'm glad you got to put it up.

  • Also, I just noticed the captions and transcript. That's also really cool.
