jvc .mod files scuks....i spent days with the rubbish...though adobe premiere elements {7} recogniced .mod and its easy to work with....adobe premiere cs4 not usefull
i dont know why, it doesn work on your computer. other then, the codec must be wrong, it work fine on mine. you need mpg2 codec for video streem ,ac3 codec for sound. i use virtualdub with mpg2 plug in or sony vegas.
Thank you for this usefull video! I've owned a jvc Mg330 but the mod files drive my crazy, I was thinking of getting this MS100 because it automatically convert for youtube uploading. Also, I can play mod files on the pc in media player classic. But I guess we still have the editting problem.. such a shame they didn't just use .mpg like sony does
thanks mate, just bought my jvc ms100 and never even thought about the video format being an issue till i went to use wmm. i will give this a shot thanks!
cheers m8 ive gone though 4 jvc and 1 sony this week i have now gone back to the jvc as it is better and the fliming and photos are clearer and the 35x zoom is out of this world, anyone who is going to get a camcorder do your home work first it will save you a lot of time and headake, one of the biggest probs i had were most of the stores staff dont know anything about camcorders
movie maker accepts the files...but the top of the frame smears...and the longer the video, teh more smearing there is in the video

Just rename the mod to mpg.

You'll lose the sound!

you need to install a AC3 Audio Codec to your computer.
just google "ac3 codec"
fedepede04 2 years ago
I did that but it still wouldn't work!
As I remember the video did not work!
