  • This is a big NO NO in Australia. You can get fined heavily for doing ANY electrical work here...

Yes that does include wiring plugs, sockets, extension leads and virtually anything else except changing a light bulb.

That is ridiculous. That's why I'm glad I live in the United States of America. Home of the free. We had building codes and restrictions, but not that tight. Thanks for sharing and watching.

  • This was so helpful. Thanks so much! I'm a single mom no man around and my cord got sucked up through a vacuum.

  • @MyWayOrNoWay101

  • thank you sooo much it's my 1st time trying to repair anything electrical but one of the teeth in the male end of my vacuum broke off. u make it look simple enough hopefully i dont make it worse. not sure what to cut the cord with to get a nice clean cut. i'm a single mother of 2 not many tools to work with

  • @emilyrossi5

If you have time I would at least go buy a utility knife at a Home Depot type store. It has a razor blade inside of it that is sharp and will easily cut that cord. They also have really cheap wire stripped too. Check the dollar store if you can. The tools don't work nearly as good but it's better than nothing. If not a good sharp kitchen knife will do, but be careful. Good luck.
