even if you don't accept that Jesus was co-equal with the Father, you have the words of Jesus which say that if you deny the Son you deny the Father. The Son is the only way to the Father and God has made Him to be both Lord and Christ. Therefore to say that He was just a messenger is ridiculous. He was either a fool or He was who He claimed to be. There is no other option.

I also think that Isaac Newton descovered a corpuscular nature to light but thought that light corpuscles sped up when travelling through a medium such as water. 300 years later Einstein revived this corpuscular theory of light but thought that light slowed down when going through water Einstein unlike Newton called them photons from the Greek word for light.

Perhaps 'Trinity' is not the word God intended us to use, but the following verses really seem to point to that fact that Jesus is God.

"11Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me:"

"5And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was."

Here is a verse from Proverbs, the old testament, which shows that God already had a son.

He claimed "Hypotheses non fingo" (i.e. "I frame no hypotheses"), yet his theory of gravity is based on TWO hypotheses: 1) the sun has a uniform density (which it certainly does not!), and (2) the entire mass of our planet, and the other celestial bodies, acts as if ("as if"?) it is contained in a theoretical point within the core. In other words, the very ground beneath your feet is not really there.....? Madness!

Newton actually never denounced Jesus Christ as Gods Son nor his christianity, which tells that he wasn't against christianity itself but against the doctorines of those catholics who twisted christianity.

He didn't believe that Jesus was the God himself but proclaimed the reality that he was Gods only begotten son, sent to save humanity from darkness of sin and death.

Read Isaac Newtons "Theological Notebook" which was published 1684, where he explains his beliefs, that are clearly christian.
