I was always so pissed the Clark and Chloe never got together properly. Fucking Lana ruined it! I hate her, the character not KKreuk. My favourite character was always Chloe. Smart is hot as well, and Chloe is prettier then Lana, in my opinion.

Ugh. I hated how this was handled. I wish they'd have given Clark and Lana a serious run for season 2 and 3, then figured out a reason they couldn't be together besides stupid arbitrary shit like Kryptonite infection or the faking of deaths. Season 4's bit with the Teagues was super campy but a good payoff, and if Lana and Clark had moved on then Smallville could have kept the brilliant Jensen Ackles. Since then it's been one arbitrary "darkness" after another, but Anything-Lana = better.

Lana isn't really that popular cheerleader girl, but the "perfect" girl you know the girl who seems like she can do no wrong and lots of people like her.

It's like she can be just so gullible like Clark can be naive except he makes up for that with his physical strength and messiah complex. Lois makes up for her hidden vulnerabilities with snark. And Chloe makes up for hiding her feelings with quips.

(Continued) In the end Lana doesn't have any true strength. She's completely lost. Even Batman makes up for the tragic events that occurred in his life by never giving up, his will power. She's pretty weak in the sense that she allowed darkness to take over her instead of fixing things with Clark and being done with it. No over-angst as it should be.

Yeah I'm rambling. So anyone but the helpless literally human-kryptonite Lana Lang should end up with Clark. And IMO that'd be Lois.
