And what right do you have for saying that? For suggesting a very punk ideal, you're definately not living up to punk ideals. If you want the same old music over and over again go listen to the Rolling Stones.
I'm sure you know exactly how much I'm living up to my "punk ideals" since you personally know me, right? there's a difference between progressing artistically and becoming a boring Simple Plan-style pop punk band chasing money and trying to maintain pop-star status. Dennis isn't saying relevant things politically any more and his music has been regressing, not progressing, and all I'm saying is that that's disappointing to me. let the personal attacks continue!
I assume you're getting at his move from hardcore? Did you actually listen to what Refused were saying at the end of their career? People stagnating the punk scene with cliches and an inability to accept anything new. Dennis wants to progress, actually pursue his love of music rather than chase some jaded idealism. Kudos to him I say, I've enjoyed pretty much everything he's recorded.
i'm sorry but i must inform you that he is in the international noise conspiracy and he still writes lyrics about political and social problems. he just started the lost patrol band to use some of his other songwriting stuff, like the personal. HIS CRITICAL SIDE IS STILL HERE. and punk means to get accepted by anyone and accept anyone so you don't have to like but live with it!
no need to hate on dennis for trying something different from the refused. There's alot of simple, old school 77 style punk revival bands in sweden right now. I think it's great, taking it back to the roots after the scene got old and boring. In an interview he said being in the lost patrol is like being 16 again. Whatever, that's awesome.
this is good, so much better than the crap bands in this genre that kids in america jock. that and dennis has cred. thats right. cred. god, i need to go back to shop class :\
Great song if you appreciate minimalism, less is more many times. And It's saying this a true progressive Dream Theater listener!!! I know I am a freak jua jua!!!
this guy has evolved over the years...i just seen him as a straight edge kid in the video of pump the brakes from refused...he was blond in that video
I think I will like every new band he'll be in, he always seems to make the right music ^^

sleatersappy 5 years ago
Apparently, you haven't read up on Dennis Lyxzen that much since Refused broke up.
retrohippie 5 years ago
I know Refused broke up it sucks so bad, I just knew he had the (international) noise conspiracy band, but hes blonde now =/
sleatersappy 5 years ago
hehe, well finally he stopped with the black hair. He had it for about 10 years or something
costanzaoff 5 years ago
Yeah, he still looks pretty cool with his blonde hair. But then again, as we all know, the fashion doesn't make his music. ;]
