Considering that Henry Selick wanted to make characters realistic, like he says, "flesh and bone", I should say that he totally succeeded. I rarely notice things like characters or acting in movies, but the character of Coraline is so adorable, brave, clever and at the same time as REAL as the real life, that I nearly fell in love with her.

wow that's a lot of work they went through o_O 2 to 7 seconds PER WEEK for each animater! Whoa!

And the result- the end product is breathtakingly AMAZING, that you watch 10 seconds or so and you can easily forget it's stop motion animation because the movements are so flawless!
