  • I love it. LOVE IT. Please continue to do more!!

  • Will there ever be another?

  • #UN#, I like your name, and your video :P

    haha

    was that too formal?

  • @iWorldWebshow Absolutely not :) I look forward to responding to your comments again in the future.

  • you have to turn this into a thing!!!

  • So this is fantastic or whatever.

  • 1:06 - oh yeah ,<3 lol. Brilliant vid. :D

  • Sexy

  • Tim H. HOT!!!

  • This is so awesome :D

I hope Pappy is in it a lot... I like Pappy :I

But of course the show is realyl funny and great n____n

  • This is great! I'm really looking forward to watching more

  • "Feeling lucky.....punk?" lol

    This has potential!

  • that transition thing at the start was really cool :)

  • I really, really like this. The shooting and the editing is very good, though the audio is a bit messy (too soft). The acting is superb.

  • WHY DID I NOT SEE THIS?!

  • 2:27 hehehe nerdfighter jokes ^__^

    BTW!!!! THIS IS AMAZING!

    ....just saying.....

  • Ah! You got around to completing this! That is fantastic. My favorite part is the near head explosion.

  • This was awesome! (Except the title at the beginning, that was just a hideous font....)

  • @lilleallen As a typography enthusiast, I'm afraid I believe you to be incorrect. Just because it's a serif doesn't make it hideous. A sans serif wouldn't have fit the music and mood of the opening joke. Plus, I happen to love the loop of the g and the way the cross of the t connects to the top.

  • @RogueBlueJay I'm sorry if I came at as a troll, but truly, you are right about the fact that a serif fits the mood, but the way it is aligned to the image and the size of it makes it lose all the great essence. And really, that is just a minor detail, I truly enjoyed every second of this...

  • Oh my God, this is awesome. And it looked like so much effort! I would love to see more :)

  • i don't like it. you can do it much better...

  • @wiadrofazy What would you change?

  • @wiadrofazy nope wrong that was very good the only thing that would be better is if he does part 2 and 3 maybe 4, besides that being his age working with what he has looked super pro, great job at least in my eyes

  • haha, this was great in so many fantastically nerdy ways! :>

  • :(

  • sagging with top off, what's not to like?

  • nice ferris beuler referance there ;)

  • It's great.

  • A lot of potential here, keep it up Ali and Tim!

  • Needs more shirtless Tim.

  • I like that this is a school for American girls and British boys.

  • To be fair, episode 1 was significantly better than episode 2.

This was great :) Very professional as always. Please make more. Or if more have been made, please show them to us!

  • Tim needs new boxers. DON'T SHOOT ME I'M NOT BEING A STALKER I'M JUST SAYING

  • MOAR CENTRAL HIGH PLZ N THNKU

  • Yes. Continue this.

  • was that last scene a reference to ferris buellers day off?

    anyway, this was hilarious

  • Can this continue being a thing. Please.

  • And . . . what the Welsh do to sheep . . . BAHAHA. So true.

  • i liked this one:)

  • I want to focus on that scene near the elevator. The one-take where the camera swings through the conversation was really good. I liked how the camera made the scene feel more kinetic and energized whereas it could have been staged and shot very blandly. Also the jumping in the air bit was super funny.

I liked this, definitely want to see more. Although I do agree with some commenters saying that more depth to the characters would be great. This is, of course, the first episode...

  • Tim shirtless? I fully support whatever this is.

  • @RedMiel exactly.

  • Shirtless british boy? Instant hit!

  • 1:18 hot hot HOT HOT HOT HOT BURNING

  • Hrm. Tim has a lot of armpit hair.

  • looks really good :D carnt wait for more episodes :)

  • I feel like, not all of the people acting were quite into the acting. The shirtless dude was good and you were good, but I would like it more if they got more into their characters. They believed they were actually them, you know? Nevertheless, I enjoy all of your videos, and I trust this will be pretty good when the next in series come out :)

  • Needs more me.

I like it! Looking forward to more.

  • @crazymelon You would definitely be awesome in a sketch. Sometime in February, or March, we will do something.

  • @RogueBlueJay I vote February.

  • I love it! I thought it was hilarious :P I'm excited for the next one!

  • i liked it.

  • hahaha I thought it was hilarious!!! all the people in this are too awesome to control. i have to say, my favorite part was the opening scene - so funny!! i'd love to see more, not just of this series but all of your writing!

  • I'M EXCITED! :DD

I love it so so much!!! =]]

"Dude, I'm CLEARLY AWAKE." ...in real life i'd be the one holding the arm of pens.

    -maggie.

  • I love Tim but sorry I did not get the story nor plot of this whole pilot episode.I just hope you stick to the originality of each person.I love how natural each of them are in there own channels, this pilot just looked a bit stiff.

  • That was great! Solid acting and I liked the editing style, reminiscent of Edgar Wright's stuff.

  • I like the Ferris Bueller reference :)

  • I loved the DFTBA joke... :) Is there going to be a continuation of this? I'd like to see how the characters and plot develops...

  • @Pixiestix123321 I suspect it will be continued in some form, but I have no current plans of making episode 2.

  • @RogueBlueJay Well, I look forward to it. :) You're really coming out with some great stuff lately... Not that you don't always, but especially so...

  • as Disrali said, "you know who the critics are, thiose who have failed in literature and art." Great start keep them coming.

  • This is something of which I'd like to see more.

  • nice tanlines tim

  • OMG. YES.

  • Hooray! You finally did that thing you said you were going to do. That inspires me to possibly maybe to that thing I was going to do (maybe.)

  • What was the piece of music at the beginning called? :)

Cool video, hope to see more! :D

  • I just watched it, it is an horrendous film!

  • suddenly everyone is a critic. I've been waiting to see what your hard work would turn out to be and I gotta say, as THE worst critic ever, I loved it! XD

  • @LivonIsMe I have no problem with critics, they help me to write better things next time.

  • @RogueBlueJay oh of course! I am not saying anything bad about critics, I just think its funny. Anyway, I'm glad to see this actually got done :)

  • I would like more clearly defined characters from which jokes can like, flow from instead of what someone else said "Joke vessels." Production value is magnificent.

  • @alliteration1247 One more point of constructive criticism. I wish the wiritng didn't rely on references to other media so much (Not including the star wars thing.) However, Pappy and you and Tim and that girl did really great jobs at acting

  • I felt like I was there, like I was watching what was happening as it unfolded.

  • Great work with colour correction & not having the camera reflect in doors.

I quite enjoyed the strangeness, though TimH's shirtlessness was kinda distracting.

Ferris Buller reference was good, but the size of the room didn't really sell it for me. It's just a little too small to work well. It may have worked better with an extra 2 rows of chairs to get a better sense of the space.

It works well as a pilot, the concepts in play throughout and the basic ideas are sound and amusing.

  • God Ali, THIS WAS SO GREAT

  • Ferris Bueller references, YEAH! I like it. But I have to agree, you need a story to make it a webshow. At the minute it's a very awesome sketch. Looking forward to another episode, if there is one? Or are you moving on to Mind Reader soon?

  • @straightfromschool Straight onto Mind Reader, doing a read through tomorrow. This was always just meant to be a pilot. We had the script ready and some free time so we figured why not.

  • really awful. sorry! :)

  • @CLEZM What didn't you like about it?

  • @RogueBlueJay I just didn't find it very funny, and it wasn't that professional I suppose. I can see the effort you put into it though!

  • This was really great Ali! I loved the filming and editing and the actors/tresses are all totally awesome of course. Can't wait to see more!

  • Very good. More please.

  • I am greatly looking forward to seeing how this develops. And that whole first scene? EXCELLENT. Nice hook :)

... and no, I am not talking about the shirtlessness of it. *impatient sigh*

  • Ali... You are an amazing writer with Pappy... I honestly cant wait for more of it... It made me laugh sooo much, awesome casting and finally...

Episode one Sucks... Episode 4 THE BEST :D x

  • Some good lines :D and it was well shot. Looking forward to new ones.

  • I'm in a club at uni where you can be assassinated for liking jar jar binks...

  • FANTASTIC!

  • That was really interesting and oddly entertaining. The two guys at the beginning were particularly fun to watch, their conversation was funny.

  • i'm very excited to see more of these.. =]

  • I like it when I get to read the script first then see it.

I have to say though, Tim was perfect casting for this XD

  • I love it. Well done!!

  • Brilliant! Very well done.

  • Hilarious video. I love the Whip Pan transitions, very Edgar Wright.

  • I really really hate coming off like an asshole and I really just want this to be constructive criticism and not a dismantling of a year and a half's worth of work, but I don't know. A lot of it didn't work for me. The people didn't feel like characters. They seemed to me more like vessels for your jokes. I know there is more coming and I look forward to it because it is produced very well, but I couldn't engage with this episode.

I hope that was more helpful than rude or anything.

  • @Juanitothegreat No, that's a really great point. My next project is a short film called "Mind Reader" where I attempt to have both characters and comedy.

  • @RogueBlueJay AWESOME! The combination of character and comedy is the 2nd best combination in the world. The first is Peanut Butter and Chocolate.

  • @RogueBlueJay I haven't even watched it yet, I just paused it at the beginning because I saw the comment about laugh tracks, and I have to say that laugh tracks always seem to make everything feel a bit cheap. It's like expecting to have a stupid audience that won't know when to laugh.

  • Tim was well cast as a guy who would get kicked out of multiple nerd clubs.

Also Ali, why do you carry extra shirts?

  • @awildeeveeappeared My friend outofthedark called that a "conveniently placed item." It's a joke.

  • really good, Ali! Can't wait for more.

  • Like it. Your timing was really good.

  • 3.20 Is it bad that I answered that aloud?

  • Ferris reference, love it .... anyone ... anyone :)

  • as usual i want to be your friend. brilliant btw.

  • ha ha this was really funny. Tim what a legend

  • Haha This was great! Looking forward to seeing more!

  • awesome.

  • Excellent, Ali! Congrats to everyone involved!

  • Ok Ali your friend is cute and SEXY,cool video. Peace

  • @choro1981 Thats TimH. He has a great YouTube channel.

  • Fantastic. And I loved that at the teacher quoted Ferris Bueller.

  • This was really funny :) I love the transitions between scenes :)

  • COOLIO!!!

  • Why is the girl not british?

  • @monkeygrace900 Because she was born in America. She was studying in London for a semester. She also has great videos that are really fun to watch(hint hint go now watch).

  • YAYYYYYYYY!

  • Very awesome, I'm excited to see more!

  • Count me in.

  • "Yeah, what does 'DFTBA mean?" "It stands for 'Darling, fetch the battle axe'."

  • I absolutely love it! Way to go, guys! And Ali, I KNOW you just HAD to placed that Bueller reference in there. LMAO.

  • I'll be back. Hooked.

  • Haha

  • LOOOOL I love it xD

    More please?

    *Hug*

  • I seriously wonder how many times I've heard you say "This is gonna be the best year ever."

This is kind of brilliant. I am excited.

  • Ali and Tim would make a great couple. Just sayin. Well done.

  • This should be a thing there is more of.

    Lots more.

And it should replace most things that can currently be seen on television like Jersey Shore.

Also those "Links" that were made for "clickin'" were/are not click-able yet

  • That was great. Very jokes. I can't wait to see more episodes!

    DFTBA!

  • Comment removed

  • A Wales joke!!!! LOL!!!!!!!

  • Needs to be more episodes. This was great.

  • I love it!

Really fantastic camera work, I'm impressed.

  • @defense360 All thanks to ThePappyTube :)

  • @RogueBlueJay Pretty fantastic, he used very professional filming techniques that I learned about at film camp last summer!

  • @defense360 Like what?

  • @RogueBlueJay Really wonderful dolly shots, and fast panning, in particular. :)

  • @defense360 The Whip Pans were all Pappy's idea, but I LOVE "walk and talks." if you watch my other project "Awkward Facades" you can see how I tried to use them there.

They work super well here because we had a lot of additional footage: close ups, stuff from behind, over the shoulder shots once they stopped moving... So it stays fast paced and visually interesting.

It also is a great way to establish location.

  • @RogueBlueJay I agree, the walk and talks are very effective. Also, I'm curious-- do you use storyboards?

  • @defense360 I had one shot mentally storyboarded, the pan across the gun, but even that was changed and awesomafied by pappy. So the short answer is no.

  • @RogueBlueJay Aw, you're too kind. Sorry about that whole thing with me not editing for ages. But you did a much better job than me. Faster too! :D

  • @thepappytube I'm sure it would have been better had you done it, but no worries, sometimes life just gets in the way :)

  • Made for clicking but can not be clicked.Hmmmm.

  • I really liked the reference to Ferris Bueler

  • SO good--I'm excited!

  • Everything about this... IT'S SO AWESOME... I can't even...

  • I found this easy to masturbate to.

  • @WayhoRachel ROFL oh Rachel

  • @Witified Like you weren't doing the same thing!!

  • I LIIIIKKKKEEE TTTHHHIIIISSSSS SO MUUUCCHHHH!!!

  • I rarely favorite a video, but I am this one.

  • Okay, the word "BRILLIANT" comes to mind. This is a very nice surprise and I can NOT wait for the next episode. Acting was real and the writing was crisp and funny. Darling Fetch The Battle Axe!

  • Looks like quite a lot of fun. I don't miss high school though :/

  • I just have a feeling that I'm really going to enjoy this.

  • This was wonderful guys i'm definetly looking forward to more of the series and the guy with checkered shirt has a terrific tone ot his voice

  • @Igenerally That's ThePappyTube, and yeah he does!

  • I had to watch this twice. The best bit has to be Tim running away, it's just the best. I hope you made lots of this while you could or no there is no or you better have made lots of this.

  • The links that were made for clicking are links that I can't click...

  • Hahaha, this was hilarious! And with some awesome Youtubers! :D

  • Very good!

  • That was really good.

Just wondering, though, why you didn't bring in a few extras? That school seems eerily quiet and echoey.

  • sidenote: complicated algebra on the board in a history/economics lesson?!

  • in the first two scenes it's really blue. i don't know if thats a white balance problem or just someone going trigger happy with colour correction. I did however really like this! good script, great cheesy acting and good camera work. :)

  • @JakXenon We had a problem with the white balance. If you look at the blooper reel you can see how much worse it was in the raw footage, I cleaned it up as best I could, but I suck at colour correction.

  • @RogueBlueJay I see what you mean. well you learn from mistakes.

Another thing, just as constructive criticism, i really liked the way the shot between 2:30 and 3:00 was filmed. The flicking between characters really worked well and i think you should use that style of filming again. However if you do remember to up the shutter speed as the movement isn't as smooth as it could be.

i know my criticism is a bit much considering how bad my videos are, but i have a bad camera... and no friends.

  • Make more of this.

  • Excellence in motion photography from start to finish.

The spirit of LG15 lives on through projects like this! Big studios can kiss our arse!

  • This... was just... all of it.

Also, Tim is like my favourite person right now.

  • APPROVED.

  • I really liked this, except the class room teacher was clearly a rip off of the teacher in Ferris Bullers Day off.

  • @winniefreaks That's the joke!

  • @winniefreaks You say rip off, I say homage.

  • Holy crap this was awesome. I'm extremely excited.

  • Hope to see more. This looks good.

  • So good Ali, really, very good.

  • Wonderful : )
