I got lucky. I have 2 great kids that were planed buy me and my wife. I loved to watch my kids after work and my days off. Theer is nothing better than spending time with a lill kid that is good and don't run arround the store crying and making trouble. It's all how u give them respect and they will b good kids. I would race home to play with my kids because I loved them. And the child can p/u on that even at a verry young age.
here's the biggest issue...howard and gary have stay at home wives. women who work even part time have less time on their hands to argue and nag. raising the baby for the first couple years is great for bonding but you can only have so many conversations with a two year old.
sweetuth, sounds like you got suckered into having kids that you never wanted. poor kids. i never wanted them and still don't have any. i've been responsible and clear about that fact with my partners because having children is THE most important decision a person will make in their life and you should BOTH want it. as for me not getting out.....i'm american but have lived abroad, based mostly in milan italy for the last 23 years. we don't get oprah here to say the least.
oh and this coming from a woman...i'd MUCH rather go out to work every day then deal with a baby. i actually prefer the mental stimulation of adults and prefer to get out of the house, but hey that's me. but if it were possible for a man to become pregnant and stay at home with the kid in the day AND deal with it alone in the evenings, i might just have one tomorrow too.
Well said! I think many women forget we were all children, at one time, and witnessed first hand just how "hard stay at home moms work". Most women who claim this have no point of referance, meaning they have never worked outside the home. Their hours may be longer, but the stress level is much, much lower , the breaks are much more frequent, and afterall, you're raising your child ,for crying out loud!
agreed- yes, stay at home mom's work all day, but they're HOME: they don't have a boss breathing down their necks or any coworkers spying on them, they don't have a rush hour commute or people keeping track of how long they go to lunch and they can make personal calls whenever they want (and they're spending the day with their kids!).
The only time the "share the housework/child rearing" concept applies is when BOTH the husband and wife are working full-time OUTSIDE the home.
THE hardest job in the world is to be a stay-at-home parent. i completely understand howard's and gary's point of wanting some time for themselves but so do their WIVES!!!! the mother WORKS all day with the child while the husband works all day outside the home. why is it the full responsibility of the mom to continue after 6 pm? having children is usually a joint decision which puts the responsibility on BOTH parents. so quit whining or quit spawning babies!!!
"job" is a term used for the work done as a stay-at-home parent. i said the same thing......but i say, if you BOTH aren't wiling to share the responsibility of your kids, then do the world a favor, and don't have them! i've chosen not to have kids because, in fact, i don't want the responsibility. and FYI sweetuth, kids don't start school til they are 5 yrs old, and those first 5 are the hardest. and what.....men can't say NO??? pathetic.
25 years old with a 5 month old son...this is EXACTLY the same argument EVERY day i have with my girlfriend. everything howard says is true, even some 10 or 15 years later. best howard stern clips on youtube, this made my day
The problem is the nagging yentas Howard and Gary married. Instead of finding someone who'd be supportive and be a team player, they married women solely thinking with their dicks.
or you could just be a man and take care of you're children

Women are politicians always playing an angle with a hidden agenda.
trying to constantly break you with physiological warfare
they bring pacifism to a new level
till all thats left is a broken puppy ready to be re stringed and than she pulls them

Oh please. If staying at home with your kids is a "job", then maybe you shouldn't have them.

We all apparently lose our minds at some point.
You really hope that the woman you marry won't convert into her exact opposite once she makes a baby.
I would gladly stay home while my wife worked to pay the bills.

as rich as howard is now...you have to still really love him, like beth, to deal with his mental issues...it's funny but neurotic
