... the whole idea of a head tracking system makes no sense at all. when ever you really would turn your head - you wont be able to see the monitor / display.

maybe you try to build something like hmd where it makes sense.

Have a look at phase 2 of this project, you'll understand that it was just a start ;). Phase 2 addon his an integrated display (like on HMD).

i really want to do this with a First Person Shooter like crysis , i use head tracking as a mouse and my wiimote as a controller for the pc , now i need a hmd

get a HMD bro, then u wont have to stare at that small monitor, instead you will be fully immersed in your 3D invironment, and most head mounted displays come with headtracking :P

I'm building one, that's why ;), have a look at phase 2 of this project. Phase 3 is coming, with gyromouse headtracking. My goal is to build a very low cost hmd, with of the shelf material.

Yes sure ;), and I tried using Webcam and motion detection also, it worked ok. Tablet tracking is for fun, as a personnal challenge, using old stuff and see what's possible with it.
