  • well, if they were able to get away justice here on earth for sure they will both face the ultimate justice when they die and face Jesus who will be the ultimate Judge and they can't get away with that.

  • I wonder what I would have to say to the best friend if I was the mother. After 31 years. What could words say that would express how you feel?

Such a handsome guy you were, jeff, rip

  • Did they get insurance money? Money for the totaled of the van?

  • the law sucks!!!

  • @lordeowyn Suicide? Please explain. :/

  • damn that police department....jeff committed a suicide then.. its too obvious...they are making the viewers of this case like children.....

  • @lordeowyn yeah...explain

  • Wow... I actually like the ending. The victim's family probably understands that he didn't plan on killing Jeff. And he did pay the price. He has to live with the fact that he killed his best friend for the entire life, and to some extent, that's more than punishment by the law

  • I have never understood why there is a statute of limitations on wrongful death. A victim is a victim even thirty years later. Poor Jeff, killed by his best friend, betrayed by his girlfriend. He has (had) a wonderful family though.

  • I don't believe these guys are guilty. They were absolutely coerced by police.

  • Jeff's mother seems to be so smart, accepting and intelligent. I adore her.

  • what a great police work!!!1 before they ask the guy to come in for questioning ;;;;;;;;;;;they should as the lady he met at the bar to see him againg with hidden microhpone and video and make confest ;;; that could work for evidence but it is too late now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and where's justice??

  • This is kinda irrelevant, no disrespect to Jeff's family, but, to me and in my opinion, these cops are "dirty" (most are). Even though I believe David killed Jeff, the police coerced him; that's horrible, like I said, no matter what.

By the way, I'm paused at 3:10; I'm appalled at how law enforcement "played their game" ... Just sayin'

  • I wish we could know why that one prisoner had tried to reach out to Jeff's sister...He may have known exactly what happened between Jeff and Dave...I can't believe the Mom didn't follow that obvious lead.

  • Even if a crime was committed more than 30 yrs ago, the fact is that it WAS committed and the perpetrators are still alive. They managed to literally slip through the cracks. So much for "American justice".

  • 2 fucking scumbags

  • It's cool, because we all know who did it; and that was very much a confession. Both of the brothers confessed. David and his brother know exactly what happened that night; and there will always be a televised, recorded confession. They confessed!!!

  • @porgynbess they didnt confess though

  • @turtles12 Whether they confess or not; the truth is very obvious.

  • @porgynbess they didnt do it

  • @turtles12 So what's your theory??

  • @porgynbess the police did it

  • Do you have Lady in the Harbor?

  • the perfect crime

  • SMH!

  • This settles it........You CAN get AWAY with MURDER!!! UGH!!!

  • what a very strong woman!

  • "oh God what did I do"...Boohoo You killed your best friend Jackass! Jeff's family seem like such sweet people. This has to be an awful realization for them (being killed by his best friend) and they aren't going off the rails.

  • I'm impressed that Jeff's mother isn't freaking out screaming for blood. There will be no trial, and she's very rational in accepting that.

  • unbelievable
