Do you go to a lot of art galleries in Berlin? My boyfriend goes to art school in ny and has been hearing so much buzz about the art scene really blowing up in Berlin (not that it wasn't already established before). We are planning a trip there this summer! If you have any favorites or recs I would love to know!
BHB, I cannot believe I missed this video. I don't think it came up in my subscription box. If it did, I missed it. Anyhoo, love this video. How refreshing to be a direct communicator -- I would completely fail at this. :-) Again, lovely vid. I love all the things a major city has to offer and Belin sounds wonderful. I like height on a man, too. Germany has always been on my must-see list -- one day.
I've been wanting to visit Berlin for as long as I can remember. I've been to Europe a few times (one being in the Black Forest region), but *never* Berlin. I need to get on that very soon. I loved this video :) xxx
Don´t forget about the ice cream! I just love the Italian ice cream that is everywhere. Everytime my family visits from the USA they just love the fresh ice cream. I agree about the coffee and yummy bakeries!!!
Hi, love your shinning earring. Hope you keep posting videos after going back US. Actually, I do like tall German guys as what I saw when I was in Berlin.
i actually never thought that german men are tall. and mind you i am german. problem probably is that i think that i am 6 feet tall while i am only 5.3 in reality. BUT since i am working at a school i started to realize that year 5 and year 7 students are TALLER than me. gee, can you imagine: me in my heels and an 11 year old boy who can look me straight into the eyes standing up. . . . is that just the new generation? is everyone getting taller? or did i only miss it until now? . . . .
Haha love no.10! Have not made it to Germany yet but was in Amsterdam recently and was swooning over how tall the men were there. Don't get me started on their hair and their faces... sigh haha
Oh, you look so beautiful in that video!! this is really a lovely video! i also would be interested in a 10 things i hate about germany video :D but that would really be not polite :)
@Chococeanna lol :-) I dont have a lot of things I hate, but one thing that bugs me is negativity and negative attitudes. In my experience this really doesnt get you anywhere in life! xoxo
@maryonfire84 Absolutely right ! Thank you, BerlinHairBaby, for making us feel that we can be proud of a lot of things and that there is a lot more than just the reminder of Mr. H. ...
I really agree with you on the "tall men"-issue. I love that as well, in fact it's one of my biggest turn-ons. I live in Denmark, and I believe Scandinavian people are even taller than the Germans (not as tall as Dutch people, though) - I feel lucky!
I agree with you about the language issue. Every time I'm there I come back to the US feeling like its my duty to learn at least 1 more language being practically all Germans are at least able to have a conversation in a few language. Dispute my many attempts I'm sadly still speaking only 1.
I'm from Brazil and I think the PC mentality here in US makes people very disingenuous. Sometimes telling people the truth nicely is so much better :) I get the feeling the Germans are the real deal.
@fdoeppen To correct myself, I don't mean to put Americans down, my hubby is American and I love the people here, but can you imagine how much better they would be if only they didn't worry so much about PC?
@fdoeppen I understand what you mean. Sometimes politeness or being 'politically correct' gets in the way of communication! I think its better to be honest and direct:)
@LiebHabHasi well, the average height amongst men in germany is 5'10 and if you compare it with the rest of the world its pretty tall. a few countries have a taller averages like denmark & netherlands. romania wasn't
Thanks for this great video! I am German, have been living in Australia for 3 years now and watching your video made me realize how much I miss Germany!! I love and miss everything you talked about - you are exactly right!! No Biergarten, no long summer nights - here it gets dark at 6 p.m. even in the summer - so homesick!! xx
Your making me miss Germany we've been stateside now for a yr and even though I'm a US citizen I really love and prefeer living abroad and coming home on vacation....I can't wait to get back I agree with everything your saying what I would.t give for some (hope I spell it right) laugen brotchen....ahhhh
All of the shops seem so personal and family owned. I wish we had separate shops here in the U.S. instead of so many grocery stores or mass chains. I do love German men. My guy has these amazing full lips, too. lol I'm 5'3, and he is 6'2.
Love the video. I´m from Germany but moved to the US cause my Husband is from here! You´re so right about the bread and I really do miss my good German bread lol.
My boyfriend was born in Germany, but he's Dutch, and he always talked about Germany and how he'd like to live there again some day and I was always like:'uhm, yeah,we'll see about that;' but now I'm feeling way more positive about Germany. He'll love you when I tell him this :p
I looooove your Video! I'm from Germany and I'm in the us for an exchange year right now. And I have to say I MISS all the things you love. And I really miss the bread! I really enjoyed your video and love it!
I loooove it so much when you making videos about the german or germany... it's so intresting because there are so many details which are special or unusual for you but it's totally 'normal' in germany... i like your impressions so much. Never knew that german people are direct for example
I am from Austria and lived an the US and I have to say I REALLY enjoyed your video.
You mentioned things I wouldn't even have thought about. For example I would have never considered shops beeing closed on Sundays as a good thing, but now that you said it acutally really makes sense :)
that was such a fun video to watch! As a german you don`t always get the specifics of your country, and hearing them from an outside-pov makes it very interesting! Berlin, will miss you!!!! But i wish you just the best for you upcoming move and restart in the United States.
Must thank you for your Impressions about my Country. Greats from Northsea near Bremen
I went to Germany last June (this year)... stayed there for three months .... and when it was time for me to go back home .... I was really SAD!!! I've come to love Germany more than any other country in the world! It's so beautiful and clean! Everything seems to be pretty organized there! I love the people... the food... nature!!! UUUUHHHH!!!! I would love to go back if I'd be given the chance! =)=)=)
hahaha, i love tall people too. in fact, i plan to retire in germany. my mom makes fun of me since i havent even finished high school yet...
