This AMAZING commercial shows you all the incredible things the unemployed people of Detroit do regularly as they await their next unemployment check from the socialists. They skate! They jog! They even get together and sing in empty theaters! It's TOTALLY AMAZING AND VERY AMERICAN! AWESOME! Of course, the theater's empty--no paying audience members--'cause everybody's unemployed and out for themselves; expecting their next government handout while indulging in their own, amazing activities.
There's ironic symbolism in this. When the socialists move into a theater that the capitalists have built (when socialist Chrysler is in the Fox) the seats become vacant and you end up with singers paid tax dollars to perform for nobody; socialist dysfunction.

But here's my point: If I were running a proven failure of a car company, would I waste government issued bailout money on a 2 minute long superbowl commercial (we're talking millions of dollars per second, extra few million for Eminem)? Detroit is not just a city for hoodlums. Ford Motor Company set up shop in 1903 and became a titanic monument to free enterprise during a long period--from 1905 to the end of WWII--during which Detroit was run by mayors belonging to Abe Lincoln's party; the Republican party. But here's my point: If I were running a proven failure of a car company, would I waste government issued bailout money on a 2 minute long superbowl commercial (we're talking millions of dollars per second, extra few million for Eminem)? Downtown Detroit is amazing && anyone that hasn't been to Detroit has no where to speak about it.If it wasn't for Detroit then we wouldn't have half of the cars we do. so anyone that wants to diss my city can shove it. Second overpasses were enclosed due to a rash of suicides in the 70's! Third Detroit is a wonderful city with beautiful people if you don't like it don't visit! You wouldn't know that by looking at the list of Detroit's mayors. Ford Motor Company set up shop in 1903 and became a titanic monument to free enterprise during a long period--from 1905 to the end of WWII--during which Detroit was run by mayors belonging to Abe Lincoln's party; the Republican party. Republicans were mayor for 32 of those 40 years. Only Democrat mayors have overseen Detroit's decline the past 49 years.

@dopemelody our demands weren't high. We just want to be paid a fair wage. A livable wage. Is 12 bucks a day fair for anyone in this country? Its corporate greed that runs business to mexico, and the dumb asses like yourself who are so easily manipulated by the ceo's into thinking the hard working union workers are to blame. If the unions are so fair, let them build a car or anything else. If they ran fast food a Big Mac would cost $15 and they'd blame the economy for high prices and low sales. Americans move factories into country that act like America was back in the day.

What a joke... M&M- from Warren, not Detroit; Chrysler headquarters- Auburn Hills, not Detroit; "This is the Motor City... and this is what we do." Run like we stole something and grab all we can for ourselves... like the car companies, politicians and companies like Stroh's, Uniroyal and Hudson's, who all abandoned the city.

"Imported from Detroit" says (between the lines) that americans generally associates 'imported' with luxury. "Made in Detroit" would have been more appropriate.

This year, Motorola featured a commercial about a girl who snaps out of a world plugged into the iconic white headphones with no human interaction.
Unfortunately, in 2009 I shot a short film with the exact same concept.
I’m just asking people to please take a few minutes to watch how this idea was originally done. Decide for yourself if you think their ad is too similar.
