  • I always thought that maple was better in sound.

  • i have a gretsch filtertron in a basswood? strat copy and it sounds Excellent. i think mine is a made in japan pickup..they are great sounding pickups

  • Hi, I own a rare all-maple solid made Gibson that features a set neck and a rosewood fretboard. I think those are the essential differences refering to your guitar. I estimate mine sonds too dark and seeing your demo I'd like to know your opinion about fitting TV Jones pups on it. However, I'd like to keep a high output level. Thanks.

  • @jp6l6 I would try Joe Barden two-tone humbuckers for your instrument. They're never too dark, high output plus you'll get more versatility from the "hum-free single coil mode".

  • wow alot of people said that maple was too bright with no depth your video has priven them all wrong im curently building a Randy Rhodes V and i was worried about he tone but now i have high hopes thanks hows your sustain

  • awesome sound out of those pickups

  • Nice demo, sweet tone! Congrats!

I ve had a Custom Tele just like yours (also with 2 TVJ pups) for about three months now. Still in love with it! Mine now has an older Gretsch pup in the bridge, but other than that they're almost identical. Awesome axe! I like how it sounds slightly overdriven in the bridge position and the clean tone from the neck Power'Tron is way cool too.
