He's not really Iron. His armor is made of a much stronger metal. Iron Man was picked for the name just cause it has a better ring to it than "Titanium Alloy Man" or "Adamantium Man". I forgot specifically what his armor was made of but it's real strong, do you Iron could survive a missile or shot from a tank?
To the both of you, Iron Man was probably originally made from steel, which is an iron alloy. Titanium is not stronger than steel but it is a lot lighter, and when alloyed, can be much stronger than steel. If a tank shell hit a real iron man, it would most definitely damage the armor. There is no titanium alloy that could resist flying into a projectile tank shell without a dent.
Also, the movie is not canonical to the real story.

He's not really Iron. His armor is made of a much stronger metal. Iron Man was picked for the name just cause it has a better ring to it than "Titanium Alloy Man" or "Adamantium Man". I forgot specifically what his armor was made of but it's real strong, do you Iron could survive a missile or shot from a tank?

To the both of you, Iron Man was probably originally made from steel, which is an iron alloy. Titanium is not stronger than steel but it is a lot lighter, and when alloyed, can be much stronger than steel. If a tank shell hit a real iron man, it would most definitely damage the armor. There is no titanium alloy that could resist flying into a projectile tank shell without a dent.
Also, the movie is not canonical to the real story.
