  • The script for this instructional video wasn't very informative.

  • my comics are 20 to 30 pages

  • for some reason i dont wright a script. i just go straight into my rough

  • @spudnick160 its what i do, i think its better if ur doing a long comic. i tried doing script and it takes a little longer and its harder to do that and draw storyboards at the same time

  • the thing is, in my current script, i know what's going to happen, but i don't know how to write it.

i'm also worried that, since i know my characters better than the audience will, i'll not introduce stuff well and leave parts out.

  • @TheDrawingOne Do you have friends with similar interests? You might run your work by them and get their feedback. Their advice, if they offer it, may or may not be good, but it will give you a sense of how some people respond to your work. I'd suggest showing the material to more than one friend, and if they disagree as to what they like or dislike, so much the better. If, however, they agree that this or that part needs to be more clear, you can be fairly sure you need to rewrite.

  • when I write a script my scripts are 100 pages

  • How long does it usually take to finnish 1 script compared to the book it's self?

  • go to my new website and help me with my comics just visit the site please

  • @lastmanstandingtv what is the website url?

  • I'm a beginner with the script making process, but what I kinda do is come up with the general idea for the chapter from begining to end. Once like a whole page is done I fill in the details of the chapter by making the script. It's feeling in details of the sumary by the time I get to panels.

  • Dan HEAD?

  • thanks for all of these videos and extra thanks for the sub titles / text that goes along with it. Very helpful for me. ;)

  • No one can see the example pages for the script unless they are super man and have x-ray vision.

  • @kenshinro7 if they had xray vision, they would see through their screen.

  • The best way to get into Marvel and DC is to meet people from Marvel and DC. YES! You must have the skills, but without networking with the people in the industry you aren't going anywhere. Go to cons and meet these people.

  • @makingcomicsstudios thanks from a comic book artist to another

  • the self publishing isnt a problem for me, what i wanna know is how to get a job with someone like marvel/dc/image

  • I write in screenplay format then adapt the ruff script into a ruff comic layout a few times until I get my final draft. I do my own art so I can work like this.

  • @rainberg-All I can do is write,and I`m not even sure it`s potent.

  • I always start by putting what page it is, how many panels are on the page and then describe what happens and the dialouge panel by panel

  • iwant to make a short graphic novel about a murder my fried was involved in,touchy subject ill have to change names etc...im just not shure what grapic style to do it in i was thinking black and white like alberto breccia's mort cinder stlye film noir shadows and light crossed with munoz and sampayo's "Sinner" style.what tips do you have for the layout of each frame and how the story flows..the beat of the tale so to speak?

  • when writing a script for a comicbook/graphic novel, do you have to specifically explain the panel layout?

  • Not really. I usually write in a more movie stlye script. Vaugly stating character action and dialogue, but anyone will usually tell you to write in a way that feels most convertible to you. Also, I've heard most artist don't like the panel by panel style, so it's really your call.

  • Do you know if you have to go to college to be a comic book writer?

  • Possibly. But there might be creative writing class that can help you with drawing characters and the surroundings. You could learn from artists or teach yourself.

  • not really, alan moore was expelled from college i believe...

or was it elementary.. well anyway... i suppose... that you do not have to but it depends what you aim to do professionally.
