  • "I'm only 40 miles away from..." someone who can teach her to sing.

    Great music though!

  • Top top top top tune( metro centre posse)

  • Awful version the original import with just the piano's and a break is the only one you need this was released to try and make some money as a commercial enterprise. The vocal is something off the x-factor, err makes me wanna puke.

  • Christ I remember this. I was living in Leeds and had the tidiest girlfriend in York you could imagine. I used to wake up on Friday mornings and put this on; I was only forty miles away. What days. What beautiful proof of God she was. Beautiful, smily, shapely beauty. I'll never forget.

i agree with your comment. we were lucky boys and girls, select few. the rest of them know nothing.

  • @TheRetiredspaceman oh yes we were lucky. There was no shit, great tunes, great people and great (not messed with) recreational goodies.

  • @TheRetiredspaceman agree, the golden era of dance you were either lucky to be there like me :):):) or not

  • @gomezgang1

I was there too and yes I count myself lucky.....amazing times :)

  • @dylan240269 did you ever go round leeds the warehouse, the gallery, rickys and sunnys

  • @gomezgang1

No mate, I used to stay around London mainly, The Satellite Club in Vauxhall was my regular place although I went to a few others too, I've got a fair bit of music from that era although I hardly ever play it now. Great memories though (albeit a bit hazy....hahaha).

  • @dylan240269 got a few myself, not very computer savvy though relying on my brother to put them on so could be a while :) just managed 1 gallery upload

  • this tune and "heres another chance with you to dance with me" stuck with me through my days. If only i could go back.

  • unreal track had many a dance to it TUNE!!

  • The instrumental version by Congress is the one you've gotta hear....takes me right back.

  • @aleviola38

yes. the vocal is not so good in that famous pianoline

  • It's such a shame music has not moved on much. I would say I hear 4 or 5 tracks a year now that inspire me.

  • i agree with u mate. and i'm not just talking about house music, i mean across all genres there are only a few tunes that genuinely stand out each year.

  • just shows how good these tunes were back in the day......we were lucky boys and girls ;-)

  • Piano heaven :)

  • I know this gem well. Thanks.:)

  • fantastic tune,....back in the day.........

  • Back in the day my arse: by the time this commercial, sugary shit was out, the day was well and truly over, but for the bandwagon jumpers, it was just beginning.

  • i wasnt out raving in muddy fields as i was just a kid...my older bro and sister used to listen to underground rave music so i would listen with them....but i know what you are saying...i would say about 92 was when the underground scene really went big in the mainstream......moulding from house/garage/hardcore/rave into uk garageand after 95 uk garage was on its last breath....after 97 there was a total fixation with having pitch turned up to maximum....so called speed garage sh*t era....

  • well said.

  • bastard.

  • Crap vocal

  • Ur mums crap!!

  • pish

  • does anyone know a tune called "it's gonna be a better day", a black man singing over this exact same piano hook? from about 1994.

  • You wish mate... look at the state of E's these days!!!! Bit like the music: crap tunes = crap chemicals!

    Lets keep our fingers crossed!

  • can't take em anymore, they make me ill for days, they're full of shit...do you remember Diamonds that were out with the Doves? they were flat and ketaminey but if you took half of each they lasted all night. I got to taking 10 and them doing nothing from 1997 onwards, they went shit.

  • This was in the charts, around the same time as "Carl Cox - I want You (Forever)" but this Congress is damn tough to find, they are all the instrumental versions.
