Awful version the original import with just the piano's and a break is the only one you need this was released to try and make some money as a commercial enterprise. The vocal is something off the x-factor, err makes me wanna puke.
Oh yes... Buzz club Liverpool. 90's clubbin' , ya couldn't beat it. Too much gel in me hair and I was strugglin' to get a shirt with sleeves that didn't hang ( I was a bit skinny back then).
Christ I remember this. I was living in Leeds and had the tidiest girlfriend in York you could imagine. I used to wake up on Friday mornings and put this on; I was only forty miles away. What days. What beautiful proof of God she was. Beautiful, smily, shapely beauty. I'll never forget.
I had this tune with the rap of the 40 miles from congress in a tape I lost. It was fitting better here, is it a mix from a known sessions or Dj? Ive looking that for years (go figure) lol
No mate, I used to stay around London mainly, The Satellite Club in Vauxhall was my regular place although I went to a few others too, I've got a fair bit of music from that era although I hardly ever play it now. Great memories though (albeit a bit hazy....hahaha).
@dylan240269 got a few myself, not very computer savvy though relying on my brother to put them on so could be a while :) just managed 1 gallery upload
i agree with u mate. and i'm not just talking about house music, i mean across all genres there are only a few tunes that genuinely stand out each year.
Back in the day my arse: by the time this commercial, sugary shit was out, the day was well and truly over, but for the bandwagon jumpers, it was just beginning.
i wasnt out raving in muddy fields as i was just a kid...my older bro and sister used to listen to underground rave music so i would listen with them....but i know what you are saying...i would say about 92 was when the underground scene really went big in the mainstream......moulding from house/garage/hardcore/rave into uk garageand after 95 uk garage was on its last breath....after 97 there was a total fixation with having pitch turned up to maximum....so called speed garage sh*t era....
can't take em anymore, they make me ill for days, they're full of shit...do you remember Diamonds that were out with the Doves? they were flat and ketaminey but if you took half of each they lasted all night. I got to taking 10 and them doing nothing from 1997 onwards, they went shit.
This was in the charts, around the same time as "Carl Cox - I want You (Forever)" but this Congress is damn tough to find, they are all the instrumental versions.
"I'm only 40 miles away from..." someone who can teach her to sing.
Great music though!

Yes vocals add to the track, though instrumental is an awesome house hit. However the vocals elevate this anthem to legendary status!
