Yes...apparently this was the method that William Bell used to pull Olivia over to the other side. In episode 4 of this current season we see how Olivia goes from William Bell's reality to out current reality...however it brings up the question: why did Bell have to bring over like that? I thought one of Olivia's talents is that she is able to see into the alternate universe..I can't undertand why Bell couldn't use her natural ability instead of using a car crash.

William Bell can control how people enter and leave a universe. Olivia's body is moving faster than her mind through universes. William explains it to Olivia in "Momentum Deferred,"

I think that Olivia crossed over to the parallel universe while she was avoiding the crash. And from that moment on, she was already in the other reality. Maybe that's why Nina Sharp was said to be out of town... (or out of the country, I don't really remember)

but that might raises some other questions like how could Olivia enter the building without knowing that it was the Twin Tower..

Just some thoughts though, by the way, great recaps!

Yeah. What happened there. If she did go to the other reality during the "car crash" then what building was in when she was in the restaurant? And how did she magically transport to like the 300th floor when she was only on about floor 13 when weird stuff started happening.

she came in through the elevator. She couldn't now. And the way Season 1 ended. She was mighty surprised looking at Ground zero and realizing she is standing inside the twin towers.

i also noticed that the cow was skinny and i was thiking maybe walter forgot to feed it or somehting i think it will play in something maybe when the cow dies walter will reveal he was doing some weird DNA testing on it and it turns into a mutant IDK just occured to me. The codes are glyphs that appear before or after commercial breaks and spell out some message.

I think that there was another (second) shapeshifter . He killed Charlie and hide his body. Then he killed the first one the nurse. Why? I think the first one failed too many times (stopping Olivia, killing her, killing her again) and have been replaced.

Great recap. Question: in your cap and comment where charlie is standing over the nurse and the laundry cart is in background with supposed old charlie in it and later to be thrown in the fire... how can there be 3 bodies in that scene? How could nurse bad guy take Charlie's appearance and still be in nurse form on the floor? Flaw?

He had killed the nurse earlier. So assuming her original body is still laying around (since he leaves one body everytime) he could have moved her over there.

I've got a big feeling that the whole mastermind in the parallel universe who is causing all the "Fringe" incidents is the alternate Walter who is extremely pissed off cause someone stole his son (The living Peter) and thinks it was William Bell who did it or helped do it. Or both alternate William Bell and alternate Walter are trying to destroy the other universe for some reason (This reason is less likely). My guess is that alternate Walter isn't as funny or brilliant as the normal one :D

I think I found the clue to this episode in "There is More Than One of Everything." Its when Broyles and Olivia are talking about Jones' bandages, saying that "Its not easy to walk around when your on half the world's watch lists maybe he's recently tried to change his appearance."

I have a theory about Walter and Peter. In the first season Walter keeps saying this and this from his childhood but Peter says no, that was my childhood. I feel like maybe to replace dead Peter Walter went to another universe and got himself as a boy? whether by accident or he didn't have any other Peters he could find. just a theory.

Yeah, I think this season'll be more Peter's season. The whole fact that the alternate universe people look kinda normal makes you question the Observer even more too. I think that can actually be used later on by the show. Since "fake" Charlie (I have no idea what to call him) could show signs of no fear, and that can be how they find out what happens. Altough I think they´ll only find out by the end of the season.

Actually, Real Charlie told Olivia about his story of how he and his partner incident on that domestic case was BEFORE he was taken over by the Shape-Shifter.

I rewatch the episode again and that talk occured about 23 mins in and when Real Charlie pursues the Fake Nurse to the basement of the hospital, it was 35 mins in.

Exactly. Real Charlie showed his human side to Olivia. Later, the fake Charlie (Sharlie. lol) will act diferently.

I got this image in my mind of something similar happening to Sharlie, and him not reacting the same way, making Olivia notice that something is off.

Agree. That scene will be used later in the season for Olivia to identify that he is Sharlie (ha). If not, they wouldn't have so forcefully put a scene like that in the season premiere. =)
