I have observed these people for a long time now and have been with them for some time as well. All they do is to make people be more conciouse of their faith and set an example of emulating the prophet himself. They never talk about politics and don't have any kind of 'ulterior' motives. TJ are apolitical and by action can be considered a secular form of Islam. But the movment generates muslims that have Islamic lifestyles, note the paradox. An apolitical movement generating muslims which political Islamic movements aspire to (most cases rhetoric). The problem for Mr Craig is TJ is consistent to secularism whilst being faithful to the teachings of Islam. Because TJ compliments secularism attempts to outlaw it are futile.

Also, Tablighi Jamaat generally carry out there missionary work to astray Muslims and not any non-Muslims, so even in the missionary sense, they are not targetting non-Muslims for conversion and it's not that they'd be doing something wrong if they did.

Tablighi Jamaat are generally traditional Hanafi Muslims and they oppose the wahhabi doctrine and they certainly dont agree with Osama Bin ladens interpretation of jihad [killing civillians etc] so even if some of the london bombers and richard read had associated with Tablighi Jamaat for a while, they couldn't have been influenced in their extremism by Tablighi Jamaat.

I have observed these people for a long time now and have been with them for some time as well. All they do is to make people be more conciouse of their faith and set an example of emulating the prophet himself. They never talk about politics and don't have any kind of 'ulterior' motives. The problem with Craig's argument is that Tabligh Jamaat proponents themselves state that, while the goal of Jamaat is to emulate the Prophet (saws), contemporary emulation of the prophet (saws) is understood to be inherently deficient and thus, as anyone in Tabligh Jamaat will state, armed Jihad is out of the question since it is viewed within Tabligh Jamaat advcacy as a religious, and not a political act.

An apolitical movement generating muslims which political Islamic movements aspire to (most cases rhetoric). That does not mean to say the tabligis preach violence and hatred. 99.99% of muslims believe survival can be achieved through co-existence, it's that 0.01% who preach hatred, like some of those radical Evangelics in America.
Think about this Alan. If Muslims believed heaven was guaranteed through suicide bombings violence and death. Don't you think it would be the easy way out to just strap myself up and kill a few non-muslims?

Alan your arguments are flawed. All Muslims try to follow the ways of the prophet. It is called the Sunnah of the Prophet. These are his day to day behaviours as you have mentioned. Tabligis are the most humble and pious Muslims around. Islam is an ideology like all other ideologies, the aim is survival.
Are you telling me if your way of life was under attack and you were told to bear arms you wouldn't?

My friend, you have a very weak case against us. First learn the meaning of Jihad - a struggle. Muhammad (pbuh) was not war mongering - he fought in wars waged against him and the people of Medina. Most muslims are tablighi jamaat - it is not a sect of Islam - it is another word for a religous muslim - someone who actively spreads the word and engages in prayer. I hope you understand.
