Hey! Anthony...what kind of pick up are you using...thinking about getting new pick ups for my guitar...your playing and lessons are awesome..thank you so much...localbyzs...
hey man, great job! i;m a beginner and i can't seem to get my tone right. can u help me? i have an epiphone dot and a fender mustang 1 that will emulate almost any fender amp. can you help with settings on guitar and amp?
man very very nice , i just think it would be awesome ,if stead of teach note by note ,u just put the tab and play slow it would be a lot fast and easyer to learn
Thanks for keeping the discussion civil. Now, if you want to learn this lick, keep watching. If you want to argue about John Mayer and whether or not he's any good, take your arguments to one of the many forums. They'd be glad to have you. Do not discuss it here. This is a guitar lesson.
@dreamquarter i dont think so it looks more like a fender jaguar and because of the single coil pickups, both of them are muchos awesome guitars though! =D
absolutely. i've been enlightened more from these videos and youtube people in general then any lesson i ever took as a kid. mind you i got frustrated and eventually quit then.
Hey Anthony. I have watched many of the lessons. I know you have the Blues Jr. NOS and I just bought a new one yesterday. I love it but, there is one sort of defect on mine, I think its a defect at least. When I play a note and the low E string and hold it out, the amp starts to kinda crackle. I wanted to ask if yours does that too or if mine is defected in some way.
That doesn't sound normal. I would take it in to the store and have them check if the tubes are seated properly and that the speaker is connected solidly.
I know some people don't like him as a person, but how anyone can not like his playing is beyond me. I just assume they're envious, or not knowledgeable enough to realize the small things he's doing that are so hard to master.
I'm not sure he was trying to be argumentative, but anyway, those are all great cover songs. The point could be made that some artists best songs are cover songs :-)
Ditto this, his blues chops are unquestionable after hearing that, and after seeing him do a solo electric version here on youtube his overall music chops are unquestionable also. Wish all the celebrity stuff didn't colour people's opinion of a great guitarist who's brought blues to the mainstream.
Oh yeah, I still like it. That's my "upstairs-by-the-TV" guitar that I play unplugged to keep my hands in shape. I should bring it down and use it in a lesson again.
wow funny. it makes me smile that i saw that same john mayer video. If you saw it then clearly i'm looking in the right places, being struck by the right playing, and i'm heading in the right direction as a musician.
Hey man this is an awesome lesson! I'm an avid visitor of the john mayer musician forum and I think that if you made videos of his rythm and lead guitar playing you would have quite a bit of business, i know i'd buy them. Anyways cheers and good luck with all of your future endeavours with steviesnacks.
Damn right right I just want to play some guitar!

let me just point out to all the john mayer haters that TOMMY EMMANUEL admitted that he is a fan of his work. and tommy's a GOD

Has anybody heard that "Axis bold as love cover"?
Seriously that's the song that earned my respect.
This lick sounds so cool and it's pretty easy.
Thanks for the yet another great lesson.
Peace!

yes, indeed he played great. just wanted you to know that Jimi came up with that and John makes it alive today. :-)
