Saying that Numark and Behringer are low end gear is totally debatable. I wouldn't call a Numark NS7 low end. Behringer is also not low end. There are better companies out there but it is definitely not low end. I would say mid range gear. There are plenty supporters out there for Behringer and Numark. If you want low end then talk more about Gemini, Pyle Pro, and Gemsound. That is low end. Behringer and Numark offer budget friendly gear that is NOT low end!
I can go either way with Numark really.. I had a unit of theirs crap out entirely during a gig, and it was in great shape. I guess this can happen with any brand, but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Perhaps they've upped their game in the last few years, but they are not in the same league as Pioneer, Rane, Allen & Heath, and Denon for my money.
@djphunknasty Yes that is very true. Both have built up a much better reputation to today. I just purchased a Behringer VS1520 as my first pa so we will how it works out. I also have had a Numark Mixtrack and Numark DJ IO for months now and neither have failed me.
Buy from a reputable seller on Ebay or from someone you can trust or who offers buyer protection or some sort of guarantee on the item. Anything bought on Ebay this would apply to.
would you recommend the denon 3500 or the 5500? i'm planning on getting one of each but my friend said its bad to mix different turntables. how, i do not know. the reason why i don't want to get two 3500s or two 5500s is that i want to try out the 3700 when it comes out.
I have owned and used both. In my opinion, the 5500 performs better than the 3500's as long as you're using the latest firmware update. However, they also carry a much higher price tag since they are media players.

Yes, problem is, nothing Numark makes, in my opinion, is "top of the line" anything. Maybe its just me, but I've had bad luck with Numark, and there's a reason they are cheaper than the rest.
Ive got a Numark CDN 90 and i really like it so its not really about the brand its about getting the top of the line gear the any brand sells. except for behringer ofcourse
Hey thanks! I'm going to be purchasing my first set of tables and mixer in the next couple weeks here. I've been doing a ton of research and bouncing back and forth from ebay and craigslist.
