That is really interesting about the two different varieties of Green Mambas. To my untrained eye they look alike but I haven't seen them side by side, so maybe it was just to subtle. Are they a different shade of green or are there other differences that you can use to tell the Tanzanian apart from the South African type?
Thats gotta be one of the most dangerous, high paying kick a** jobs you could have. I envy you but with the family around I'll need to just stick with the corn snakes for now. I am a little excited because I'm getting a butter motley female from BHB to breed with my sunkissed corn but by now regular snake probably don't do it for you. LOL! I can't wait to see what colors I get. I LOVE GABOONS!
Can't speak for other hot handlers, but you seem to know and understand the behaviors of each one of you snakes. You have also stated that these are not pets and great care must be taken because of their being unpredictable by nature.
That said, why would you leave the cage open containing the other greens when you can't focus you attention on them at all times? I'm sure their temperaments have something to do with it, but damn, that's putting a lot of faith in something far from domestication.
@TheTemest If they would come out, which I doubt, since it's their "home" where they feel secure, I could easily put them back. It's not like they would lunge across the room and bite me in the throat. I would never use the domestication, I use probability to guess behavior.
@viperkeeper sorry for so many questions! but do you have a video with rattle snakes I think there very cool snakes and very interesting idk if you do requests but a rattlesnake would be very cool to see
If only they knew you arent trying to harm them...lol. And do you keep any non venomous snakes? And why do you feed them like 4 chicks in one sitting when like other snakes only get a rat a week?
I am a follower of your videos because I find what you do amazing and your respect for the venomous astonishing. May I ask you why you feed only frozen thawed? Or do you only make videos of f/ted eaters?
@viperkeeper Oh go on Al! I was looking forward to next year's calendar. :-( Perhaps try the same thing as you did for the 2010 calendar? Get people to email you if they'd buy one, and if the numbers are right, go through with it?

Do the snakes have to learn to hunt from their mother, or do they just know what to do?

@IAMGiftbearer They are variable in their range. I was told that the SA Greens may be different enough to earn full subspecies status...
