Namaste :) Thank you for the upload! I follow the Asatru religion (just google it :)) but have met a few hindues and they have all been very nice people. I follow the Asatru, because this was the religion of my ancestors and it is non dogmatic, freedom loving and advocates equality between the genders together with a deep respect for nature...something which I am glad to see that Hinduism does too. I have always wanted to learn more about Hinduism and now I finally got the chance. Thank you :)

When devotees come, they act as the intermediator beween the devotee and God. The devotee donates money for the service, which the priest pockets. Smart priests create rumour that the God is active in his place so that more devotees turn up and the priest's share swells !

They also sprinkle water to awaken the touch sense, burn incesse sticks or gather flowers which awakens the smell sense, sing prayers for the ears, light lamps (for eyses) and give prasad (for tongue. I don't understand why it's so important that people know Hinduism is not about being panthestic... Pantheism is generally quite a beautiful way of being and in my eyes not to unlike Hindism - which is also beautiful.
