The point is that who happens to be President doesn't have all that much impact on our lives or policy because there are 535 pawns of the most monied industries, like banking and insurance, that have the lion's share of real power. The system isn't as badly broken as the electorate is. A gaggle of cowardly ignorant religious scumbags does not an electorate make. The majority of the US electorate functions like a lynch mob and does little more than block any sort of meaningful political dialogue.

I disagree. I've read enough things that Obama has written to notice a complete lack of factive verbs when it comes to comments about his faith or anyone else's. No way anyone but an "agnostic" could have written it. Genuinely religious people absolutely always use language that clearly implies their belief that god is real. Obama never does. Neither of those guys has a low enough IQ to permit them to be religious. The religious filth wouldn't even vote for Christ if he became an atheist.

I thought you were talking about the real "they." Cause it isn't Obama that has that agenda. Bush was 100% the pawn of organizations like "The Family." They are the ones your post refers to.  And yes, you're spot on I think. Obama isn't a part of it, but most of congress is (both sides.) He has too much personal integrity to be effective given the nature of the role. That's why he's incapable of either standing his ground or being very good at outwitting the slime on the hill.
