My granfather was surrounded in a cottage in the Rinnean ambush near Lahinch Co Clare by the Tans, so dressed as a woman and waddled out and nearly pulled it off, when they spotted his hairy legs and opened fire. He took 4 bullets in the shoulder but manage to escape- RIP Mickey Reynolds 1981.
