  • Perfect workout music.

  • this is his 1st theme...

  • jake had the psychological edge most of todays stars have the physical edge

  • Greatest Promo, Greatest Villain, Greatest Storyline guy in the business besides ted dibiase"million dollar man' Sr. epic vs Andre the giant, earthquake, Rick "the mode;" martel in his blindfold match, Macho man, ravishing rick rude, and who can forget the ultimate warrior and undertaker fueds. Jake can steal a line from Bret Hart when it comes to the things he did.. He was "the best there was" from back in WWF's old school times.. The Man moved like a snake in the ring and is one of the best!

  • The Man Nuff Said I grew up looking up to Bret hart but when Jake the Snake Entered the Ring I got chills and I was like uh oh DDT time.

  • Why this guy never held a title in the WWF I'll never know.

  • @Sorenishii

he didnt need to hold a title, even tho he stole the million dollar belt to keep damion company

  • @Sorenishii as he said in his "Pick Your Poison" DVD, (paraphrasing) "Titles are great to get people over when used properly. If you don't need them, don't use them."

...one of, if not THE smartest man in the business.

  • The only guy who comes close to the likes of the Snake is CM Punk.

  • @rhyno4eva And CM Punk is a face now!

  • does anyone remember when jake the snake tricked the ultimate warrior and lucifer bit him? dumbest promo ever jake was supposed to feud with warrior, to bad he got fired it wouldve been an insane feud

  • This man single handedly made the two greatest fan favs of all time, Taker was a heel until Jake made him a good guy, and John 3;16 became Austin 3;16, just because he has problems away from the ring shouldn't deny fans the chance to see this man, Vince needs to put him back in the WWE then he can help create better stars than we have, another Snake Pit would be a welcome relief

  • one of the greatest of all time

  • some reason everytime i hear this song i think about miami vice or sean claude van dam movie

  • @king0785 You to, I always picture around 1:08 that JCVD is doing 360 spin kicks in the air, whilst making crazyy ass faces, shouting AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

  • when jake the snake came out in svr 2011 it was bad ass. unlocking ricky was more bad ass

  • "It's more shameful to deny fear, than it is to run from danger."

  • i love this theme lol

  • sswweett!!

  • For money as a 7 year old this guy was one of the fucking greatest wrestlers I've ever seen to this day. He was the original Stone Cold Steve Austin. An absolute badass who feared no man and knew how to fuck with people to control the psychological battle. He even psyched out Andre the Giant with his python.

  • He could have been even better if drugs didn't get the best of him.

  • @Flash33181 Honky Tonk is to blame for the painkillers

  • @Flash33181 so true

  • true legend

  • Absolutely!

  • The greatest on the mic nobody will ever beat him not even that shit twat of a man who turned his back on the business that made him dwayne johnson

  • @pornpan96isGay He just got a better acting job...

  • @splendidmate

I suppose so but the least he could do is come back from time to time and show his appreciation to WWE

  • exact same as first

  • i actualy meet jake the snake roberts marty jennetty gangrel yokozuna ther really nice guys

  • @oufc29 I dont believe you unless you met Yokozuna before October 2000.

  • @Snitsky9 ok i might have been wrong on meeting yokozuna but i have deffinet meet jake the snake roberts marty jennetty gangrel cos i can tell you for fact that i had a picture taken with marty jennetty shoke hands with jake roberts gangrel i can tell you where and when it was at the new theatre in oxford in 2001/2002 it was british wrestling

  • I MET HIM

  • JAKE LOOKS LIKE A GENUINE DICK BLOWER IN THIS PICTURE

  • I just read online that Jake Roberts officially announced his retirement at the age of 55 due to "health reasons". I wanted to take this minute to reflect back upon one of my all time favorite wrestlers growing up as a kid. I was always found of Jake "The Snake". I thought he cut the most convincing promos and put on some of the best matches. I think its a shame that people poke fun at some of his personal problems. All in all Jake is a Hall of Fame Superstar in my book!

  • from jake to austin to orton but no one ..tops jake roberts..no one ...what does DDT stand for ?...the end

  • @silverbeast75 Its the name of a rat poison. He took the poisons name for his move.

  • @silverbeast75 DDT the insecticide stands for Dichloro-Diphenyl-Trichloro Ethane. But the wrestling move??? idk.

  • @BrickCity4eva

    there are many Versions^^

    for example:

Damiens Dinner Time (Damien was Jakes Snake)

    Demonic Death Trap

    and much more ;)

  • @undertakernumberone1 Jake in an interview just replied "The End" when someone asked what the move stood for. He said the move was innovated on accident.

  • @BrickCity4eva

yes, Jake botched an Suplex, the first powebomb was a botched Piledriver by Lou Thesz^^

i ment, the initials "DDT" by the Wrestling-Maneuver stands for this names of the Move^^

  • @undertakernumberone1 i know i know. But the name DDT has an orphan meaning like CM in CM Punk

  • @undertakernumberone1 i just saw the jake roberts wwe dvd, and he said he got the name from a rat posion that was used when he was a kid.

  • Epic theme here. Such a shame they don't make 'em like they used to anymore.

  • @MisterDynamite jeaa dude know everbody has rock songs ^^

  • Randy Orton is maximum Suckage

  • He is the best, and always will be the best. :D

  • The second best theme song of all time in my opinion.....accually I would say it is closer to "Miami Vice" than John Carpenter ( who is a great composer himself)

  • Jake "The Snake" Roberts in ring and out ring personas were always questioned because they were practically identical. He remains to this day one of the most feard men in professional westling.

  • actually jack swagger could.

    BWAHAHAHHAHAHA

that was the joke of the millenium.

    the all retarded retard.

nobody could touch jake as a good guy or as a heel.

  • @JerichoBeach Jack Swagger Sucks Donkey Balls=100%

  • this guy was an excellent entertainer, Get him in the Hall of Fame WWE.

  • For sure! I say we riot if they don't put him in this coming ceremony.

  • Comment removed

  • I'm confused...this "third" theme sounds just like his first theme, the one he used until '92 when he started using the "Trust Me" theme...

  • @fivebearrugs you can hear only a little difference between the 2

  • I think this was had been remastered, and a little bit of echo was added. Basically a slight remix of the original.

  • @fivebearrugs This is a remake of the first theme, enhanced for the 1996 return.

  • this theme reminds me of UFO

  • Now I have to pop in my Jake the Snake DVD when I get home tonight.

  • i dont know why your comment was spammed, coz its true, you cant identify or tell most of the wrestlers apart these days. wheres the gimmicks? they all have shit tatoos and crap 70's trunks, dibiase jr, orton , rhodes, and some others, they all look alike, i feel for todays kids watchin the shit that is todays wwe

  • Dunno why people hate Orton. I mean he is a great wrestler, and a wwe legend for sure.

Only because of being a heel doesn't mean he is thrash. There were some wrestlers that were born to be heel characters, and Orton knows how to take it by the balls.

  • i agree! it's was the same thing with kurt angle

  • Randy Orton reminds me of Jake The Snake in some ways.

  • @dkfifteen in some ways he reminds me of jake too, but that ovation he got at the royal rumble on sunday might make me think of ways he could remind someone like you of stone cold.

i speak for myself and myself only when i say orton has started to remind me a little of stone cold

  • please elaborate.

  • was this the theme jake used from when he was blinded by the model to when he turned heel?

  • No disrespect to jake and I do dig this theme. But doesn't this sound like a 80s car commercial ?

  • Jake "The Snake" - The greatest legend ever !

  • yes ill admit he is one of the greatest legends of all time but i have to point out his ddt was not that affective on certain superstars not like tombstone or chokeslam.

  • Pure Talent

  • wrestlemania seven was jake vs rick martel in a blindfold match

  • yup, i remember that match well. it happened cos martel blinded Jake with his spray.

  • he soo my best friend!!

  • One and only wrestler with a living prop.... 2nd to none intro music...

  • Well the Bulldogs had Matilda, and Coco Beware had Frankie. Oh and Bad News Brown/Allen had his rat. :P

Rat vs Snake.. Snake wins. :D

  • Jake the Snake Roberts...one of my all time favorite wrestlers, he was and is the shit, despite his shortcomings

  • Jake the Snake...a shocking performer, a charismatic attitude, excellent thinker and a natural talent.

  • "a human has 5 senses, but a snake has 6, 'coz we do things best in the dark"

  • which was wrestlemania 7

  • Comment removed

  • last time this song was used for a wrestlemania victory!

  • This song reminds me of Tekken 2. Nice.

  • Why's that? XD I don't recall any Tekken 2 music sounding like this.

  • lol. I just heard the theme tune and it sounded like the opening of the Tekken 2 intro and then saw your comment. Odd.

  • what a theme, what a performer

all the heels today put together couldnt match jakes natural talent.

  • @ant8tfive I know this comment was a year ago, but dang if it isn't true. This guy would have for sure been a permanent stable ultimate heel if not for his drug problems. He had the look, the demeanor, the smarts, and the talk to get him wherever he wanted to go in the wrestling business. Let this be a lesson to you kids: DON'T DO DRUGS.

  • @ant8tfive damn skippy....jake is my favorite heel of all-time..." do u trust me?"

  • @ant8tfive Oh hell yes. When I was little, I always used Jake's moveset against my cousins. Short arm clothesline followed by the best damn DDT ever in the biz.

  • Is this from when he came back on 96 and fought Stone Cold in the KOTR finals?

  • this was his theme for pretty much his entire jake the snake career

  • It is a variation of the original theme.

  • i have this theme on anthology

  • 2010 or 2011 WWE Hall of Famer

    A True WWE Legend

  • i had a hulk hogan tape from probably 92 or so..it had 4 matches on it, but in the middle of the tape, it had a hogan workout montage, and this is the song that played..if anyone else had that tape, i think it was called "Hulk Hogan: Real American" ..it was matches against Andre, King Haku, Ted Dibiase, and Nikolai Volkoff

  • I have that on tape, it was Saturday Nights Main Event from 1988 I believe, the night where Andre pinned Hogan with the help of "Fake" Earl Hebner... That´s where this training video was showed originally, I believe. Great Memories! : )

  • bloodcream. Don't you remember. Earl Hebner didn't exist then. Senior referee was Dave Hebner and Ted Dibiase did some type of MIssion Impossible plastic surgery on a guy to make him look like Dave Hebner to cheat for him.

  • Oh, he,he. Indeed! : )

  • ive seen that video on youtube and dailymotion. good song to workout too, especially with the enhanced drums in the montage/.

  • His heel 'Trust Me' theme beats out any other theme hes every had

  • this is easily hands down Jake's best theme!! I mean listen to it, it's just awesome!!!

  • true legend

there will be another jake the snake

  • um raven?

  • I'd say they're both similar, but each have their own legacy, their own niche that separates themselves from the other.

  • I think that because both have the best promos ever, both of their promos are dark, insightful, and they make you want to hear more. And both are among the best of their generations,

I want to know who this generations Snake or Raven is though...

  • I dunno man, guys like Raven and Jake, they're tough acts to follow, especially these days.

I'd say if anyone, closest I can think of is Jimmy Jacobs' Age of the Fall gimmick. His promo where they hung one of the Briscoes overhead and Jacobs let their blood rain down on him was pretty unique to say the least.

  • The Raven heel persona was a product of Paul Heyman more than Scott Leevy. Without Paul Heyman writing the stories, the Raven character was horrible. When he left ECW he should have left the Raven character there with it.

  • he used this when he came back to wwe in 96

  • awsome theme

  • check out the cobra. fuck me

  • this theme is a classic . this should be the theme of the u.s airforce when they are going on a combat mission .

  • classic shit right here

  • i always thought this was a remixed version of his 1st face theme that he used in his 2nd WWFrun in '96.

  • he used this for a couple years before he turned heel and of course in '96 as well. compare the songs, man. this is the main theme i remember as a kid. every snake fan knows that lol. when i recently heard that 1st theme it was easy to tell the difference. he used that in the late 80s. this is the main theme, not a briefly used remixed version.

  • i agree i have wm 7 on tape and this is def the song jake entered the ring for the "blindman's bluff" match against rick martel...

  • The first time the theme was used was for a video package showing Hulk Hogan working out just before his match with Andre The Giant on an edition of "The Main Event" February 5th 1988.

Yes, that is the infamous screw job title match with Ted DiBiase paying off the referee.

  • xpander2k, THANK YOU!!! Nobody believes me when tell them that it was used for that vinette showing Hulk getting ready for his "Main Event" match w/ Andre. As I remember, it was very well done and showed Hogan in a very cool way!!

  • I think that footage is on the Tube. That's is where I saw it for the first time. I don't remember watching that when the match actually aired.

  • probably used the 1st theme for that, not the more recent version.

  • You know, I never knew there was a difference until I listened to the "1st theme" just now.

  • yeah i didnt realize that either until looking at the different videos on here.

  • didnt they use this theme from around wrestlemania 6 vs dibease and wrestlemania 7 versus martel? and when he came back for that one year in 96? They used that first theme with that 80's beat to it for wrestlemania 4 vs rick rude and wrestlemania 5 vs andre? trust me was from wrestlemania 8.

  • If you want a REAl and RAW up close and personal interview DVD with Jake The Snake you need to check out "Jake Bytes Back" you can check out the trailer in my videos. Jake self produced this DVD, it has none of the bells and whistles of WWE DVD's but it is PURE JAKE straight from the heart. A MUST for any REAL fan.

  • where did u get the theme from?

  • No this was his 3rd theme. His first one sounded similar, but you could tell the difference because it was older and had more of an 80's sound to it.

  • Is there a video of his second theme?

  • It's close, but not quite. Don't feel bad. I always thought this was his first them, as well. But there are very subtle differences.

  • when did he use this?

  • He did use this version at Wrestlemania 6 which was 1990. I'm not sure when he switched over to this theme, but I am still curious about what his second theme sounded like.

  • Never mind. I see what everyone is doing. They are labeling "Trust Me" as his second theme, which isn't entirely true. He used his first theme AND this theme before he turned heel and "Trust Me" came along. This theme is technically his second theme, not his third.

  • this theme was used very late in his wwe career as well

  • haha miami vice comes to mind

  • More like John Carpenter.

  • Definitely - very 'Escape from New York'.

  • :) Jake's theme REALLY reminds me of a song that belongs on "Big Trouble In Little China" btw, I LOVE that movie!
