  • LIsa, I wish you all the best!!

  • Hi all, diagnosed when I was 25, 53 now. Unable to work due lo long term problems largely due to 5 years of symptoms before diagnosed. Love and best wishes to all, I have never gotten over how I look, the same as we all look. Mirrors still upset me. Some journey eh!

  • would like to add that i am currently off the meds as i am now pregnant after careful planning for over a year! will keep updating.

  • I too, have this rare disease. I feel for you 200%

  • as my medication on somatuline is working and my results are now normal....lol normal whatever that is. and the tumour has shrunk from 9 mm to 3mm they do not see the need for anything else when surgery cna do more damage than good when a tumor is this small. im doing really well now and i am so lucky to be in the position with acro now its not taking over my life anymore. i still have bad dasy even though my results are normal .

  • wow.. I am also 25 and have been suffering from acromegaly since I was 18. But I wondered why you haven't you gone through any surgery yet? Or gone through gamma knife radiation? And also, if you have been able to get on somavert.

  • You did a beautiful job putting this together. Bravo!!!
