Quick question: is the monitor you're using a 7" cheapo from eBay (the ones that are around $45-$50?), if so how does it perform? I was looking at getting one but the resolution didn't look great from the specs, what do you think about it? Thanks!

@SIXEIGHTTWO Its crappy resolution but you can still read all your OSD and fly with it well. It was a gamble to buy this one but its worked out fine.

i used 2 magnets for the wings. keeps it secure. change the spar too and the motor. now mine flies more stable. but this plane drove me nuts doing mods. i got mine up 2000 ft. almost lost it because it floats and kept going up. thanks for the video

huge waste of money and time fpv i bought it and set it up so good, and i was dissapointed the first 2minutes about quality so shit i think its more fun to fly full size :)

@elvedin555 If you're comparing RC Model to real aircraft well, then that's pretty much a no brainer I'd much rather fly in full size aircraft but having said that I still get a blast with FPV. And I plan on spending even more money on it. We will be doing even more FPV in the coming weeks :D

Just got the Bixler and toughened up the build with a bit of CF... When you hand launch, how much grunt do you give it (on stock power setup)?

@lumeah4 I launch with 50-70% Throttle and a decent throw . . remember the aircraft needs airspeed to fly. If you watch my maiden video of the Tek Sumo you see my crappy throw and the aircraft basically falls.

Hey guys, another great video! I was just wondering if you guys modified the Bixler in any way, is it the stock motor, I ordered all of the components from HobbyKing a couple of days ago and am wondering if the Bix has enough power to get the FPV gear in the air?

@SIXEIGHTTWO Its all stock, the battery is 2200mah and we get around 30 min. It does have enough power for FPV but its not really powerful. Having said that I don't mind because I like the idea of extra battery life

I discovered and learned a lot about FPV and strong winds which I will share soon. Flew out to around 400meter in this crappy weather wearing my friends FatShark . . what a blast

@justfly60482 With the Bixler Thomas has probably done the longest straight flight in FPV mode. He flew for just over 30min before finally landing due to low battery.
