  • lmao being compared to the wright brothers.. hahah classic.

  • silence! you earthbound!

  • I belive i can fly x)

  • That look likes turbo boost into reverse, haha.

  • add a rudder, ailerons and elevator and get your pilots license!!!

  • Wouldn't b able t sit down after that one

  • With everything Aston Martin can summon up from their DBR9's aerodynamics to keep it ON THE GROUND, it flew further than what the Wright brothers could summon up for their Wright Flier to FLY.

  • i belive i can fly :D

  • What a dangerous track. And theyr even making fun of misfortunate people crashing.Prime example of track safety is BMW crash at mid ohio..

  • I remember that too

  • it flew longer than the Wright Brothers' first flight

  • Isn't that the same corner where Greg Pickett had his huge crash in practice this year?

  • LOOK AT THE AIR TIME!

  • holy crap he beat the wright brothers

  • That's Aston Martin, always gotta be ahead of the game making flyin cars n' such

  • Lol, wow. I don't think that driver trained to be a pilot:) And that graphic at the end is hilarious. He has something he can tell his kids now, that he flew farther than the wright brothers did on their first flight. :)

  • volo chido!!!!

  • One of the most dangeroes tracks in the world..Just watch the M3 crash mid ohio video.

  • @Brainiac83 Sadly, I have to agree. I'm going to the ALMS race this weekend at Mid-Ohio and the track is going to kill somebody one of these days. Stupid parts like this bit at the esses with the "launch pad" are going to kill somebody. They have the money to fix it, but they are just reluctant to do so. What good is a sand trap if you don't even touch it as you fly over it?

  • @frambesbuckeye They are clearly aware of the unsafe track..Just look at their message box, Those amazing men and their flying machines" and they even mesure the feet..I think they are loving the peoples misfortune..

  • @frambesbuckeye Yeah, I went to Mid-Ohio friday. I posted a video of some ALMS runs. It's a little amateur but you still get to hear the beautiful sounds. Unfortunately, I had to leave before the indy cars came out.

  • @GOMBPRODUXIONS Yea, I shot some video as well. The IRL race was a snoozer. The World Challenge and ALMS races were much more rewarding and great races.

  • @frambesbuckeye Sweet, deep down inside I prefer ALMS over IRL.

  • she learn tobe next michael jordan! LOL

  • Holy !@#$

  • @WorldChallenge Really...That's some serious airtime for a car!

  • lmao, a car flew further than the right brothers :)

  • aston martin says who needs to drive when you can fly!!!

  • Was the camera guy sleeping?

  • Register and discuss about this car in V6wall com ;)

  • ironic that astons have wings on their logo lol

  • Pedro Lamy ftw!!! =)

  • i definately would've pooped myself during this crash

  • astons fly

  • That's got to be the most quiet 3 seconds of that drivers life! Brakes locked up so the engine shut off, just air rushing over the car. Dang!!

  • Ouwich! But if it had been Lewis Hamilton, he'd probably say afterwards, "It was quite a nice one actually." X-D

  • "those amazing men in their flying machines" ahaha

  • Driver: "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"

  • aerodynamic owned

  • i witnessed that. i was soo fckin crazy. when thet went to measure the distance, the guy with the roller kept stopping short so everyone was tellin him to keep goin. the car wasnt even scratched.

  • Wow, that thing got some nice air time

  • hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh that waz great

  • lol anyone read the graphic at the very end of the video? the DB9 flew farther than the wright brothers did

  • haha yea that is pretty insane

  • lol

  • @turbdturtle lol... no really i mean it

  • @turbdturtle : That was the first thing I noticed... amazing!

  • @turbdturtle lol I'll be at the track this Saturday with my measuring tape to see if anyone can beat the DB9's record. Also for the race. But mainly for the flight, lol.

  • @turbdturtle lmao irony!!!

  • whoa, i've never seen anything like that before.

  • lookup mercedes & le mans / alms

  • Must have been scary as hell for the driver.

  • Peter Pan drives cars now???

  • haha thats awsome, you can clearly see the lift its creating instead of downforce as its going backwards!

  • that thing was just like floating in the air! that's awesome lol. glad it didn't catch and tumble

  • much more FUN and great cars!!!

    compare to NASCARS....

  • i hate nascar! It's so fucking retard all they do is left turns! Now there are only 2 races i'll watch. The one in California and the one in New York cos they go up and down left and right's and not just left beer drinking, fried chicken eating turns.

  • new record in long jump :D

  • Shit that is crazy.

  • now that's some even weight distribution. floats like a butterfly!

  • Lands like a 1000kg brick... ;)

  • American Le Mans Series is rising in popularity in North America. I bet you that in 2011 it will rival NASCAR.

  • Amen to that, I am a but dissapointed that P2 porsche is out... Hopefully Peske lure them into P1 and would be nice for GT1 cars to come back.

  • Well all we can do is wait and watch, both the ALMS and IRL will slowly but surely be the ones who will push aside NASCAR...I Hope.

  • LOL

  • That could have been a lot worse than it was...damn thats crazy

  • Comment removed

  • dats some crazy ass shit right there man

  • *low whistles* man, talk about flying wow, but at least the driver had a soft landing, and impact too

  • As a Gran Turismo 4 driver I say this is very dangerous to do in real life.

  • daaammmmmmmmnnnnnnnn!!!!!!!!

  • my profile working?

  • Very Good!

    Impressionant!

  • i miss the prodrive team and there aston martins. the corvettes need some competition besides themselves.

  • I hear ya! Prodrive is a class act all the way. I was fortunante enough to see them at Mosport a couple years ago. You ever see under the hood of one? BEAUTIFUL.

  • I have, did u see them or the ferraris they ran.

  • you sir need to learn what a douche tony george is. He did ruin Champcar.

  • smashing video!

  • that seems like fun =p they should really put some kind of roof flaps to these cars...tooo many accidents that happen yet thats whats make a race a race...i guess

  • accidents make a race? You must not have watched many good races, too much nascrap it seems like.

  • well actually i watch both and btw y should anyone care what they watch or not...i meant that cause without any crashes the whole field would be pretty much spread out and the race would pretty much be decided. If there were crashes the field would be much closer and ppl would have an opportunity to pass one another and can possibly change the tide of the race...meaning who wins or not.

  • well in a good series like the ALMS the cars can run together for pretty much the whole race even without the aid of a caution period.

  • yea but thats the reason y they r pretty bunched up...cause cautions keep happening due to them being so close to one another so something got to give, btw this is just one series,le mans races, nascar and other series r pretty seperated so yea it gets boring after a while when no one is battling for position, or even the win.

  • wrong.

  • no, no, no. IRL is shit.

    It ruined ChampCar

  • is that reason the wings on the am logo???

  • The car flies because when the car is going in the reverse side, the wings which maintaned the car pasted to the floor before, now elevates the car like an aircraft.

  • Beautiful landing!

  • real lucky

  • as dangerous as that was, and thank god he wasnt hurt and NAILED the landing, that was fu*king cool :P

  • it's got to be said...about 130 degree turn in mid air...followed by a bloody good landing....I'd give him first place!!!!

  • holy shit

  • elyeti nerde aldın sen yaw

  • Good lord... talk about air time.

  • How about: EARL sux!

  • Bitching

  • Poor Aston, she must be badly hurt after this...

  • lol

  • Believe it or not it was hardly damaged. A lot of sand did pour out back in the paddock though..

  • That gotta hurt! Pedro Lamy's 3rd hard crash in his career, he got a lot of pain in his life.

  • wow.....he was really shifting

  • lol.

  • wow that would have been fun

  • holy shit...!!!!!

  • geile sache!

  • that was awesome

  • sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

  • I'd rather fly with Pedro than Jetblue :)

  • if that was an IRL car it would still be flying.

  • the car flwe farther then the wright bros.?!

  • Thats at whats called China lake at the end of the straight.... I rolled my MX-5 doing the same thing in a SCCA race.

  • awesome

  • LOL! xD

  • ertik

  • stupid camera guy...should pay more attention!!

  • holyyy f#cK, daMN!!! add some wings and it would fly more than an F-16!!!lololol

  • good post Viper007Bond cool video.

  • its not even meant to be a car, it should be a plane !

  • hahahahhahaahhaha

    indeed!

  • Lol!

  • kool aston martins rule

  • aston martin es lo mejor

  • I was there when that happened and good god what a noise it made. I was on the inside of the corner and all you heard was the tires chirp and then a green flash go by, soar through the air, and land. It took a second to comprehend what happened. They had a Supra go off in that same corner, at a race another year, and he ended up stuck up IN one of those trees on the other side of the fence. That was interesting to watch, too.

  • Great car, but the Linn stereo systems suck. When I bought my DB9, I "upgraded" to the 950w version and it's awful. Doesn't come close to comparing favorably with Bose, Blaupunkt, etc.

  • great video clip and I've rated it as five star. Please check out my clips on vintage motor car trading cards, 1920s-1950s.

  • WOW that was crazy

  • I was at this track before. That hill is a real devil. I'd like to see a GTO fly like that.

  • oh shit!that is flying!

  • well next time i fly, i know where to get a ride!

    Aston Martin!

  • ....hey, at least he beat the Wright Brothers....

  • lol, nice one

  • I wonder if he had the optional brown leather fitted....

  • WOW! Good job the car didn't catch the gravel and barrel roll because it could have been a very nasty accident

  • thats what I call flying

  • retarted camera man what the fuc kis wrong with him. flys off the trac kand 5 seconds later decidees to see what happens

  • It was during a practice session, so he was just getting some still footage. just be glad he noticed the car go out of control and moved the camera...

  • lmao

  • I like your video clip and have rated it as awesome. Please check out mine on some 1930's motor car tobacco cards. Includes Aston Martin and many other early car models.

  • Wow.

  • yo all i have to say is that the camera man fucking sucks haha, the car was out of the picture for like 5 seconds....

  • Fortunately, lift going backwards was not very efficient. Yes, the wing does create some lift going backwards as does the undertray. They both worked to keep the car in the air and level before it landing in the gravel pit. The pit doesn't do anything to slow the car when it's in the air . . . maybe a parachute?

  • pedro lamy, the flying portuguese! :D

  • it´s pedro lamy.

  • Holy sh*t.

  • I remember watchin this live. cool.

  • HOLY CRAP!

  • this car can fly, this is an aston martin "volante" ;)

  • Yes cars can fly !!

  • Sure it does, it's got a big fricken wing on the back. Go one way and it pushes the car down, turn it around and this is the result.

  • actually no, the car would have to be upside down for the wing to create lift

what has happend is it has caught air under the flat undertray and thats kept it 'floating' as it were

  • You don't understand wing dynamics at all. The wing is upside down from an airplane, creating life downwards instead of upwards on a plane. For the wing to have created lift, the car would have to flip on its top.

  • haha, cool

  • FOOK ME, HOW CAN THIS CAR FLY? IT DOESN'T HAVE NO WINGS OR WHATSOEVER

  • elle volle parceque elle à roulé en arrière! l'aileron a servi d'aile,c'est pas si bizzare que ca!

  • woah!! that was nuts...i want that car!

  • what the fuck...its awesome!!!

  • Man CAN Fly. He just needs a plane or Car

  • El sucesor de Opà: "COMEMIERDA"

    tag: canoncillo

  • cheers for that...

    =]

  • Wow..I've never seen a car fly before...woa...lol

  • it sooo much betr wen they tumble

my dad races formula renault n they r soooo much faster thn tht aston

  • Your dad goes to college

  • nope

    he races monoposto

    its a private club thing

  • heh, thats some air there. What did it hit to pop up like that? Those course designers are some smart people, or maybe the driver was just lucky. Anywhere else and and the car would probably be blown into a 1000 pieces. XP

  • yeah, that was definitley one and a million right there. the car was going backwards which was, in essence, a reverse wedge so the car actually produced lift. Im guessing the reversed downforce and the bump/ramp rumble strip he hit at the end of the straight caused that car to go airborne

  • ok jpost... let me see u get a car adn do that and not tell everyone u got ur car to fly... dick wad

  • THATS NOT FUCKING FLYING!

  • Nice jump :)

  • i wanna do that!

  • Was that longer than the Wright Bros first flight?

  • Yeah, farther, but not longer in time obviously. ;)

  • A full photo-strip of the accident can be found here :
