Also wanted to add that currently, when you hit 65, your insurance company will drop you or deny you coverage when you need it most. Isn't that a death panel already? Isn't that some corporate giant deciding what health care you get and why and when? If the government takes care of it, there will be none of this. There will be no preexisting condition regulations. Also wanted to add that currently, when you hit 65, your insurance company will drop you or deny you coverage when you need it most. Isn't that a death panel already? Isn't that some corporate giant deciding what health care you get and why and when? If the government takes care of it, there will be none of this. There will be no preexisting condition regulations. My parents used to say "If you haven't got your health, you haven't got anything". This is true for the whole country.

Explain to me how an insurance collective that must cover its own costs, cannot be bailed out by tax dollars, and receives no federal funding constitutes a government takeover.
It amazes me that people are able to get upset about things they know so little about.

Doesn't sound like I can convince you though, but I'd still encourage you to look at socialised health systems around the world and judge them for yourself.

i heard the insurance companies are SO afraid of government run healthcare that they're pooling their resources and will provide affordible care for all Americans completely through the private sector...because they care...they care about you...ha!

You're right, slander is probably the wrong word here. I just find very little substance in his videos, compared to the amount of insults and hype.
The so called 'death panels' do exist though. I'm in Australia and public servants here decide who gets which procedures based on need.
Same in the UK and most of Europe, so Palin's fears are justified in this case.
