  • You are wrong on a number of levels. We do not need anymore "Bro-Scientists" diluting the information that could actually help people. I'd recommend a healthy dose of education in exercise phys before you analyze data and draw your own unmerited conclusions in these videos.

  • ur fish is more interesting

  • This guy is pretty big.

  • You're a douche

  • 2 hours of cardio a week? That's nothing. I do 7 hours per week, which is a joke compared to a 3,000 mile run, but over the years it adds up. I was hoping scooby was going to say he did at least 4 hours per week. 2 hours a week isn't even 20 minutes per day...this guy hardly does cardio at all.

  • @yahoopl3 zah fuck, he trains hardcore everyday.

Look at your chest, look at scooby's chest, now be quiet and think about that.

  • @MrRamboman123 PUll your head out of your fucking ass and try to comprehend the point I was making. I think your mother smoked too much crack when she was pregnant with you.

  • @yahoopl3 dont get to personal. I just mean he is still a bodybuilder so why should he do hardcore cardio like you. thats overtraining, i bet you are offended because you dont have a gram of muscle on your body.

  • @MrRamboman123 Firstly, I can curl what you deadlift. However, this is irrelevant to the fact that my initial post which obviously inferred to the hope that Scooby did at least as much cardio as me, because I am worried that maybe my cardio is inhibiting muscle growth. Sorry, but you're just too dumb to follow along here. Get back to me when you grow some neurons. Thanks for playing, bye bye now.

  • @yahoopl3 i dont deadlift

  • @yahoopl3 This is really old, his leg workouts are 10Km run and 100 mile bike ride in one day now because he does triathlons...

  • Hey! Have you heard about the Fat Blast Furnace (do a google search)? Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my father burned tons of unwanted fat.

  • oh my lord he is wearing shirt with a tie!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • The problem with that study is I really doubt guys running 3000 miles are anywhere close in size to a body builder. I doubt they'd even lift, they'd just have natural musculature. If they didn't work out for a few months, their muscles wouldn't shrink but a body builder's would. Cardio WILL eat away at your muscles, but a pre workout meals will greatly help to lessen the body's reliance on muscle protein to fuel the body during cardio.

  • Love ya Scoob!

  • cardio is evil for us skinny guys

  • @redpencil88 Thank you! It takes some fucking amount of hard work to put on just 2 and 1/2 pounds of muscle!

  • How long should your cardio be each session and how frequently should you do it if your goal is making your six pack visible?

  • Lost 2 AND 1/2 POUNDS OF MUSCLE!! That's a fucking LOT of muscle!! If your eating right and working out hard 3 to 4 days a week, your only gonna put on 6 to 10 pounds of muscle in a YEAR!!! If you think your gonna weight lift to put on muscle each week and CARDIO..freaking forget it..

  • I think I've never seen you with a shirt before Scooby!

  • There is a camp that says, "do no cardio when you're bulking." I'm siding with Scooby here. I also side with Scooby on losing fat and gaining muscle at the same time. It is very doable with strict nutrition and rest.

  • OH MY GIRL HE WEARS A SHIRT

  • Skintight shirts define amazing muscle and perky nips.

  • Hey u bought a shirt!!

  • i keep lookin at the fish waitin for it to turn upside down.....

  • I think the myth comes from the fact that by cutting calories too much will cause you to lose muscle, so if you are severely restricting calories and doing a substantial amount of cardio you will lose muscle, except the reason for your muscle loss is lack of calories not the cardio. If anything cardio will build muscle, running up hills is a fairly decent leg workout.

  • the best exercise is jumping rope to burn off fat and cut up. So first go through a bulking phase and then cut up jumping rope at least 30 minutes a day. jump one minute and rest, then again until you build resistance.

  • 1st time I see scooby with shirt on

  • Scooby i have a question.I've been lifting for about 2 or 3 months now and i've made some muscle gains. When i started lifting i had a fair bit of body fat and a sticking out belly ( Not hugely though ) Since ive been working out ive added muscle but also fat and now im too fat for my liking, i wanted to cut down before i started but got told to build muscle then cut. Should i carry on focusing on building muscle or switch to loosing fat or attempt to do both, after all im only 15 and a beginner?

  • @MrRugbyplayer8 Do both: lift weights with intensity; do cardio almost everyday; and most importantly, eat right: foods high in proteins and low in fats. If you're gaining fat aswell as muscle it's probably because you're eating too much fat, the same thing happened to me. You don't need to choose one or the other. You can do both.

  • @Cletus1085 So, is cardio (BESIDES THE HEALTHY EFFECT OF COURSE) even necessary? If you know Zyzz, he said he didn't do any cardio at all. (Well he is dead, but like I said, the healthy part isn't any important at the moment)

So getting Shredded & Ripped, getting lean muscles, that's why I would do cardio, at the moment I simply do my normal gym workout. Is it really necessary to do cardio if I want to lose more bf% and get ripped? (Zyzz for example said, he just has a good nutr. that's all.)

  • @Aratrok1 Ideally, I would do the cardio yes. Then again, if I'm being honest, I tend to skip my cardio a lot more than I do my weight workout, just because I enjoy the latter more. If you want to lose body fat cardio may not be required, but it certainly is a lot easier to do so with cardio, otherwise you'll have to count every calorie you consume. But just do what you enjoy doing. If you try and do something you don't like you'll end up giving up.

  • @Cletus1085 Well, I tried to jog the last days, no shitting I thought I die. I had a heartburn like hell.

Still I continued, but this is actually annoying a lot, as weight lifting is actually fun but running around without a certain "destination" isn't, in weight lifting I go for reps or at least for "as much as I can do." -> Doing the same with jogging just feels different. (Not good)

So Id rather focus on eatin properly and do my weight lifting to get shredded than.. cardio. (Evil sound here)

  • People that say cardio burns muscle are the same people that go into the gym, go straight to the bench press, then do a couple of arm curls some more chest and leave...they just don't like doing the cardio and thats why they have big beer guts and walk around like gorillas with there arms swinging from their unproportionate body's

  • None of these runners were bodybuilders though.

  • yeah but these runners probably didn't have much muscle to lose. If you already have a surplus of muscle, then you're body won't have any problem using it for fuel. It depends your prior bodyfat. If you have a bodyfat below 12%, don't even think about doing that.

  • 0 min.47sec did something came out of scooby's nose? :)

  • Cardio will burn your carbs, then your muscles

  • Something tells me Scooby isn't the most fashionable person around.

  • @Xalimander Having the tie is kind of a joke of mimicking a new-reporter

  • I burn (on average) 1200 calories playing a 2 hours soccer session! As long as I consume enough calories, I should be fine...

  • I wonder if scooby knows that all thoses athletes more then likely have been running long distances their entire life and are very well trained for it and conditioned, and for them to lose 11 pounds/2.5 muscle thats quite alot lol... I still think HIT burns muscle for the average joe who trains for mass/muscle (bodybuilder).

  • Has all that cycling and running affected your muscle gains on the legs? dont the muscles need like 48 hours of rest after youve trained them?

  • lol now I know why he doesn't wear clothes

  • i speak french, arabic and spanish very well, but i think that i´m going to improve my inglish just to understund better all that you say lol // thanks a lote man, your are the best :)

  • dude hes wearing a shirt? world has ended lol

  • scooby what do you think about p90x

  • @remtheoneilo he has made a review of it.

  • Comment removed

  • you look like you got hit in the face with a shovel and why are you wearing a tie and that shrit its youtube retard it doesnt make you look smart.

  • @xcptvudux hahaha...you're funny because you're jealous.

  • @xcptvudux says the Fat faggot behind the keyboard

  • I heard that walking a brisk walk burns fat and doesn't burn muscle, while sprinting burns muscle and fat.

  • You are the get in shape bible. Thanks for all your wisdom.

  • Hi slight problem I have man boobs as in when I jump the jiggle? How do I get rid of them and lose fat quick on my stomach and chest? I am not all that fat just have a lot of fat on my chest what exercises would you recommend to get rid of that fat and convert it in to muscle if that's possible? I go gym about 3 times a week and do weight training? I'm 14 and pick up 7.5kg dumb bells and 20kg lifting? Please can you tell me how to get rid of all this fat cos I cant see a difference going to gym

  • @zeshybadboy well... your 14 wouldin't worry about it too much but do wide-grip bench press also you can't convert fat to muscle, you lose the fat then gain muscle.

  • @zeshybadboy

Lift weights. Do squats, deadlifts, benches, and ohp. Read Starting Strength. Do cardio to lose fat.

  • @zeshybadboy Clean up your diet, and try some interval training. You can't target fat loss. Fat will come off regardless though. Look up interval training. It's great for upping metabolism, and burning fat, but isn't great for upping stamina. That you need to bring the intensity down, and go for longer. Either way, chardio for at least 20 minutes.

  • BRING BACK SCOOBY NEWS!!!

  • 2 hours of cardio a day? youre not worried about your knees?

  • @MaxxLots you should only be worried if you're fat i can run 4 hours a day with no side affects

  • @MaxxLots 2 hours of cardio a week he said... listen carefully

  • @suparpowers he meant to say per day look out for his correction

  • @jobbybag who? scooby or maxxlots? scooby said hes been doing 2 hours cardio a week

  • @suparpowers correction, 2hrs a day! he does 14hrs of cardio a week.. look carefully

  • scooby! YOU SKIN IS TURNING GREY!.. u should get that checked out 0.0

  • Did your fish died or what o.O

  • This guy has a frail ass neck

  • Im pretty sure i just watched his fish die

  • I think it's only the skinny people who need to bulk from the start, most beginners can lose weight and build muscle. I know I did

  • 2 and a half pounds of muscle is still a lot of muscle!!!

  • I think your missing one side of the arguement Scooby. For most people I think the concern would be whether cardio makes it harder to GAIN muscle, as a pose to whether it burns muscle you already have. It is already hard enough for beginners such as myself to take in enough calories and as cardio burns up those calories needed for muscle building, of course it will make it harder for you.

  • I already have my abs but im planning on doing a new routine for when i workon my abs: Ab workout, and then abit of cardio? Like going for a run? and then as i recover i'll be eating healthy. Can anyone tell me if this is ok?

  • is tuna good for most of your meals please answer?????

  • @dragonode1 nope, too much mercury

  • @dragonode1 not every day either....unless if fresh...hope i helped.

  • From the looks of it, your fish isn't doing too good

  • This is very imformative, thanks for uploading this :)

  • scooby has the most unaesthetic face ever

  • @Zohaib1 ...and unamazingly, the only one who seems to care is you.

  • Scooby Doo haha

  • you look like a goof ball hahaha

  • I like the tie.

  • Nice fish tank.

  • hi, been a fan for a while I'm a 52 year old trying to get fit again, I have been following you and others (but mosly you) that I have found on Youtube including the P90X thingy, the P90X thingy advocates training every single day, I tried that but found myself burned out. So exactly how much is overtraining. BTW I do work full time in a factory and work shifts (mornings, afterroons etc) alternating each week.

  • you fucking retard lmao

  • @BlackHelicopterz Get lost...

  • a t shirt AND a neck tie?!

  • BRIAN: Hey Scooby I’d like to lose eleven pounds of body fat, what should I do?

SCOOBY: Well Brian, you’re going to have to run One hundred and six marathons back to back, in other words roughly Three thousand miles.

    - Sincerely,

    Scooby. : )

  • @MichaelLakeberg Is everyone on youtube trying to be an English teacher now? :P

  • hipster scooby

  • Booger flys away at 0:47

  • button shirts does not compute!!!

  • TITS.

  • scooby wearing a t-shirt? :P

  • @jdielaras i know, i didnt recognize him.

  • @jdielaras

    Doesnt count!

It is a very tight one .

  • @jdielaras hahahha i wish i looked that good in a t shirt though!

  • Scooby thats how you dress every day?

  • 0:46 he spitted when he said portable...

  • @krisskross1983 learn grammer past tense is SPAT

  • @CR125MANIAC

Ok, I'm sorry. English is not my first language.

Only learned it at school a long time ago. But I speak French, German, Portuguese and Danish as well. Do you?

But there came a bit spit out of his mouth at 0:46 anyway ;)

  • @krisskross1983 Headshot

  • @krisskross1983 that wasnt his mouth, and that wasnt spit either...

  • is it true high intensity interval done for like 10-15min is better for you? and you get better results

  • @SuccessDriven247 high intensity means more in less time. You burn more calories doing 1 hour of low intensity cardio compared to just 20 mins of high intensity DURING the workout... But once your done doing high intensity you continue to burn calories even after your done and you end up burning more calories after the workout then while the workout and at the end you burn more then low intensity cardio.

  • @XxOneTrueKillxX Idk I think if you do something like 30 sec sprints with 1 minute rest in a gym for like 8sets after a lifting workout session you will burn fat alot of people I know been doing this method and it works great. They will do a 40minute lifting session then right after that will do those sprints takes them no more then 15minutes and they seem to gain muscle and burn fat that way and lungs are better. Right after theyll take a Recovery Drink Protein Carbs Creatine Gluatmine drink

  • @XxOneTrueKillxX low intensity cardio who wants to run on a treadmill for an hour i dont and that shit is horrible for you if your trying to put on mass.

  • @SuccessDriven247 He mentioned once before that the intensity is important, but you need to at least do 20 mins of cardio!

  • @CR125MANIAC

Btw it is called grammar not grammer. But you surely know that. After all it is YOUR first language.

  • @krisskross1983 Multi KIll

  • Awesome pecks

  • Erm, Scooby............your fish is dead. Sorry.

Good info tho, I was wondering this as I'm doing both weights and cardio.

  • scooby in a shirt ! :p

  • Daaang Scooby 2 hours of cardio a day?? LOL. You are a beast, where do you find the time? I mean I'm unemployed at the moment and even I feel like I've spent too much of my day if I spend more than an hour exercising (push ups etc. included) Hats off to you sir.

  • @AnotherSchmoe i thnk he said week, 2 hours per week.

  • @dabul2003 You should read the annotations, where he said 2 hours per day, 14 hours per week. 3:18

  • Theres a shirt on for once lol

  • I will add that, I do believe that that the study makes sense and I couldn't imagine the seemingly small amount of cardio done by body builders would eat away at muscle.

  • This is just a thought Scooby,

As weight trainers do you think that we may possibly lose a bit of muscle to cardio because we have extra for the body to use?

A long distance runner is super lean and generally has no extra muscle mass from weight training where as body builders have a large amount of muscle mass. Do you think the body would use something for energy that it has extra of ? Or will the two different bodies behave mostly the same?

  • no matter what scooby wears he will always be da best cus he deed it

  • lol i thought that was a normal shirt haha

  • 2hours of cardio a day!? Scooby how is it that you can do two hours of cardio a day? I mean I know you have a job. Once I get off work, I only have about 3hrs before bed time. One hour of that time, I put it in exercise and 30 minutes of that hour is dedicated to cardio. So again, how is it that you have so much time for exercising and enjoying life? Are you the boss of wherever you work?

  • @AgentCell 2 hours of cardio a day? I'm pretty sure he said 2 hours of cardio a week.

  • 2 hours of cardio a day?? Aw man.

  • GOOD TO hear it !

  • First time I've seen him with a shirt on :0

  • you are so ugly

  • @JACOB3601 wtf is your problem???

  • @JACOB3601 You're definately jealous of his body. Don't worry dude, just follow his advice and one day you won't be a fat lump being horrible to people on Youtube that just want to help!

  • THE FISH HAS EVEN FALLEN ASLEEP ZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • good video but how was their diet?

  • Nice pecs Scoob. You rock!

  • I studied this at college

  • The study lacks ecological validity because there bodies are trained different to ours, running will produce a different hormone to weight training which can lead to not losing muscle but can align the anabolic affect

  • Lmfao!!!! Couldn't u fine a. Tighter shirt lol!!! U look so unprofessional lol!!! Gay

  • lol Spray that again at 0:47 :)

  • Scooby i have a serious question. My friends say masturbating is bad for people who are trying to build muscle. Is this true? O.o T_T they say it decreases testosterone. please hallp!

  • @Alejandro1Mojica it increases it actually.

  • @Alejandro1Mojica ,it's already answered in his site. why dun you go look at it before asking serious questions?

  • So they lost muscle mass in their legs, but does this necessarily mean the legs got weaker? In other words, can a muscle weigh less but be just as strong?

  • you lose muscle doin cardio cause you burn calories. and when you exhaust your carbs you burn muscle

  • Who the HELL cares what he's wearing??? Just listen to what he has to say.. FFS.

  • omggggggggggggggggg, you got a SHIRT on :ooooooooooo

  • u look like a person that ikes ska

  • first time i seen u with t-shirt gz

  • WTF freddy krueger O.O

  • When I went to BMT for special forces. I was in super good shape, I had a six pack and everything. I lost 25 pounds that I didnt want to lose and although I got skinnier my abs were the first things to dissipate, so I can see how this could be true

  • i went running and lost weight on my upper body and nothing much on my legs dont make any fucking sence?

  • @MyJamesMusic Possibly gained more muscle and lost fat mass in your legs, and that's why they seem to stay the same.

  • Everyone is worried about the shirt, the steroids, the fish. But it's the TIE!!!! Scooby, you MUST die because of the TIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Keep on using the steroids and we'll see who dies first . I hoe yours is PAINFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • you call your self scobby do hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahh

  • You are the DUMBASS !!!! The damn shirt is so tight it might cut off your circulation but who would CARE if it did !!!!!

  • @solarplexusdude I would and all of his subscribers and friends so why don't you die and see who cares about you?

    Scooby rocks!

  • Fake, scooby never wears a shirt! xD

  • someone is despite to show off their muscle...

  • @bcroger2 someone is desperate for a dictionary

  • Why is Scooby wearing a shirt?

  • Holy sheet! He put on a shirt!

  • @BLAMTHEKABOOM And a tie, too!

  • Scooby, lose the tie man... and the hat.

  • Scooby, did the study mention the amount of muscle mass before the run? I would expect if they are running 3000 miles, their bodies are already in tune for running and they have a really low percent of muscle mass...most likely because they've already lost it from running so much. Therefore, I would think that you would not find similar results compared to someone who has the amount of muscle mass that you do and then ran 3000 miles.

  • You look like a Pornstar. What a compliment to receive!

  • this dude looks like Inspector Gadget

  • lol scooby u dress to funny ur wearina tie with no buttom shirt lol

  • Madam your breasts are showing through your shirt......

  • it must have been a hell of work to get this thight shirt on
