I enjoy your videos. I can learn some ideas from you. I have been studying at Chess Tactics Server and that is a great place to learn tactics. However, with your videos, I learn more about putting together a plan and not just looking for tactics. Thank you. I am a fan.
hi everyone. Kingscrusher you are deffinatly on a certian amount of new ground. Its not a recognised oppinning, i can't find it in either rybka or fritz, both recognise the london system. but i am assuming that alot of theory would be the same as the slav, just white will be playing as black with an extra tempo, giving slight advatage to white.
This is called the London System. Soltis wrote a small book on it, and I've seen another in USCF's sales catalog. I've been playing it for years (though not so effectively).
Yes kind of - but I thought the London system is with Bf4. However the triangle structure is key, and so it reminds me personally of a reversed slav formation.
True, the London System is played with 3. Bf4, but it does retain the triangular pawn structure. Even in this game, the bishop quickly returns to f4. I'm a Slav and Caro-Kann player; the only reason I took up the London was to avoid having to study a completely different repertoire for white.
Very interesting! It must have been a rush to beat someone that high rated. After watching this I am seriously considering taking up this opening. Can anyone recommend other instructive/theoretical games on this opening?
My friends are getting a little too comfortable (and prepared) against my Queens Gambit so it would be nice to play a casual 1. d4 and then completely throw them off on the next moves!!
Fantastic game, I will have to give this system a try, I love the QGD opening, but I think this system is pretty solid as well :D thx for the vid and by the way I"m telling all my buddies on cheescube to check out ur vids, maybe after watching ur vids they'll actually have a chance of beating me :D
This is the Torre Attack. If not, what is the difference? It is kin to the Collie and London Systems
