She was giving a guy a ride from work not knowing he was a bad guy, he seemed like a straight guy but had been ripping off drug dealers and they pulled along side and open fire with an AK47. He was hit 5 times and lived, she was hit once in the head and died before the car stopped. She had no clue what kind of a guy he was because I had raised her to be a Christian girl, giving everyone a chance. She just didn't know what kind of people can roam free sometimes.

Just yesterday while we were returning home, we had a guy pull a gun on us for NO reason at all. I used to live in and work for the City of Mishawaka and in my time there I knew several cops. ALL decent, honorable people. Shawn Devine, with more than a dozen priors for DUI, shattered a family's dreams when he chose to flee the officers. A wife without her husband and two kids without their dad and no family pal Ricky. I was one of the thousands lining the Mishawaka streets to pay farewell as these two cops passed by to the cemetary. Devine is serving a SHORT 31 years in prison.

I hope this cop was one of those cops...He may have been.. I don't know. I guess they had the right to be driving drunk and the right to throw a beer bottle across my windshield, yet not go to jail because they're cops....
They also had the right to keep thier jobs though I might have lost mine because some other cop put me in jail just for saying the cop was drunk.

Maybe when cops stop POLICING THE PUBLIC, and start PROTECTING THE PUBLIC, they will get due respect.

@zdamienz Maybe when you realize we spend much of their time answering 911 calls and dealing with thugs you wouldn't even want to be in the same room with, you would look like less of a disrespectful disgrace to society.

Why whine about it?
I don't like the fact the dude was drunk when he hit the cop.
But, a speeding SUV full of off duty cops almost side swiped my car one night and threw a beer bottle at my car.
I sped in front of them and slowed, and wouldn't let them pass. When we got to the stop light, they set thier beers down while we argued. The cops showed up.... I got arrested. ???

@zdamienz I always love these kinds of stories. "I had a bad run-in with cops once, so all cops are assholes that don't deserve my respect!" You're pretty much the same as folks who judge all African-Americans by ones who commit crimes. Not all black folks are criminals, and not all cops are assholes. My point was, to elevate the life of a dog above a police officer is utterly disrespectful.

Hahah That's what this pig gets for fuckin with people who have just one drink and get arrested for dui. If these fuckin cops were not wasting their time arresting people who have one drink they could go after people who are REALLY DRUNK not just legally near the limit ( one bottle ). FUCK THIS PIG.

This wasn't just a case of drinking and driving. This turd is a convicted felon on 18 months parole and fled from police when they attempted to stop him. Another turd that refused to go to jail and we lose 2 brothers because of it. Rest in peace brother Szuba and Ricky. And to hell with the turd that took your life and all the turds that rudely comment on this site to your ultimate sacrifice.

@srah4 The man was driving drunk. No excuses for that. He took the lives of two police officers. He deserves life in prison. Driving drunk is no "mistakes happen" scenario, and no one should be defending that cop killer.
