and the first shot wasn't any puss-assed 7.62x39!!! It was an API round from a .50 BMG, API= Armor-Piercing Incendiary..... an AK would have MAYBE pierced the cylinder and made it quit running, but the small on-target explosion was an incendiary round..... then they shot it with an AK afterwards!

Ummmm, the 7.62x39 round loses energy VERY fast, and U have to hit somebody to kill them, and the 7.62x39 has a little bit more energy at point blank range, but the 5.56 surpasses it after about 75-100 yards, and I'd trust my M16 with 5.56mm ammo over a riveted-together gun that causes about the same damage on un-armored targets as a .45 auto from a pistol..... I never said PSG-1 was the only one that used that round, I was using 1 gun as an example because there are too many others to list. The 7.62 NATO is a "beast" and has good ballistics, and the 7.62x39 (7.62 Soviet, if you want to call it that) is just a shorter 7.62 NATO. 7.62x51 vs 7.62x39. The 39 still packs a punch, but it doesn't have the same range.

OH SNAP!! I almost forgot! I highly recommend the ak-47 for feral hog hunting, they are overpopulated, you can hunt all year. Some ranchers will PAY you per hog head to lower the numbers on their land. I dunno if there is enough ammo to hunt all of them.
