  • Verry good driver. Not a good rider.

  • As for the bike having no chance... This bit of the lap is about as far s the car gets ahead...If you see the full version the R1 wins....

  • If you see the full version the R1 wins....

  • Why isn't this in a fail compilation or something? I see no vs part.

  • i spotted around 12 different times when the bike could've overtaken the porsche.

    VS...? nope.

  • At Laguna Seca, the lap record in an F1 car is 1:06.309, Superbike is 1:26.1, MotoGP is 1:23.158 as of 2006. Any decent car/driver combo will turn faster lap times than even the best motorcycles. Mostly this is due to the four wider contact patches and weight transfer to tires with the most traction. Bikes, their lean, and simpler suspension design, do not take full advantage of their tires like cars do. Supercars beat 7:30 at the 'Ring. Bikes have done it 3 times, total, per Wiki.

  • @flugplatz21 You gotta have serious balls to do a full lap of the nurb full out in a really fast car. I don't think balls the size of wrecking balls would be enough for someone to push 100% on a bike. Motorcycles require a smoother and cleaner surface to go fast.

I agree that cars are faster on more technical courses, but that's not what riding is about. Its about the rush :) at least thats what im told

  • @SpartanG6 I agree. One way people look at sports machines is, the smaller, the better. I think for a great rush, you can't beat light and nimble. Cyclists know this, and auto racing history is loaded with guys who raced bikes first, switched to cars, and were fast immediately. Top drivers still love their go-carts. Yep, it's not speed only. I've had bikes, now I have an old RX-7, not fast, but crazy fun.

  • @flugplatz21 We think alike. That's one reason the miata, a car slow as molasses in a line, can be such a blast in the twisties. It weighs just over a ton. I plan to get a bike when the time comes, my parents didn't like the idea, nor do most parents. Enjoy the RX :) maybe I just need a fast car... then my lust for a dangerous bike won't be so bad

  • 1. Dodge Viper SRT-10 ACR 1:33.92 2. Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Z07 Package 1:34.43 3. Devon GTX 1:35.08 4. Volkswagen Golf GT 1:35.49 5. Porsche 911 GT2 RS 1:35.56 6. Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 1:35.80 7. Ferrari 458 Italia 1:36.22 8. Nissan GT-R 1:36.35 9. Lexus LF-A 1:36.39 10. Audi R8 GT 1:36.39 Production bike, AMA supersports Yamaha R6 1:30.478 Suzuki GSXR 600 1:31.676 23 Why quote F1? The context is production cars and bikes. Any decent cars in my list?
  • @droceretik Nice list. Is that SS R6 on slicks? Although with no downforce I don't know how much difference it makes on a bike. I'd seen comparison lap tests in Road & Track and the like, didn't mean to be ignorant, but I am surprised. I did do some research for what I found, guess you did more. Tried again and found your numbers today.

  • @flugplatz21 What surprise me was how quick around Laguna Seca the Volkswagen Golf GT was compared to the other performance cars. I don't know what tyres they ran or if they had any mods such as racing pads. I assume the test drivers were professional.

  • nice race two very good driver

  • people talk and talk ...... but it asked balls to ride a 1000 cm3 AT these speed !!

I got a gsx R1000 and its not so easy that it seems to be.

the R1 guy Did the job well !!

  • @ilpensskassa Seriously, fucking youtube trolls. Guarantee you more than half the people who thumb-upped that shit haven't even ridden a bike. He did pretty damn good for having like 30% the contact patch as that porsche, that's for sure - and it's not like that porsche was slouching, either..yeah, the R1 guy did a very good job, had very nice lines through the turns, too.

  • Excellent video love the split screen. I have an r1 and i would love to have a run at the Nurburgring.

  • r1 would tear its arse out if ridden properly.period

  • very bad

  • Haha every 1 arguing over who shoulda won...it comes down to the driver/rider

  • R1 would win. Period. Rider should have passed it the first chance he had and the porsche never would have had the chance to pass him back.

  • @JeremyGSU theres no way that a porsche with 360 bhp could outrun the bike even with all the bends. you gonna more power than that and i mean more

  • You need more experience on a bike then a car to tackle a track day or go fast.

  • compare the price tags on the two, ill take the bike anyday. lol

  • both awesome machines. but seeing how i own a 03 R1. Ive driven a 911 carerra. parents old car. teenage joy ride. lol. the r1 would easily take the car with the proper rider. as so the car with a good driver would take the bike with a bad rider.

  • The Biker is a fucking DICKhead!!!!!!!!!! If Valentino Rossi was driving this bike the porche will be 5 circuits behind!!!!yep

  • Nuremberg? #LOL

  • LOL, you compared a 350hp car to a 150hp bike and implied the power isn't enough?

THE CAR WEIGHS SIX TIMES MORE.

If you can't outaccelerate a car on a literbike you're f'n useless. Cornering is skill, but any idiot should be able to hit 100 mph on a bike in 6 seconds or less.

  • but the porsche driver too , it's the same !!

  • umm bikes & cars on the track at the same time is asking for trouble, & very slow bikes with luggage bags is even dumber.

  • F R E E Yamaha Motorbike Manuals to Download - ** yamaharepairmanual (dot) org **

  • thats friggin nice it's like you drive up to the thing pay a couple quarters and boom you get to go run the track. I wish i lived near somthing like that :(

  • @hoverpirate I prefer the race tracks here with groups by experience, corner workers, and an ambulance on standby.

Sure it costs 200 bucks, but crashing with no help costs your life.

  • @aluisious Oh Okay I thought it was like a toll or something like a couple cents, not a whole whopping 200 $, But like you said it's worth it , and crashing isn't worth ur life, nor is it worth the danger to other vehicles on the road.

  • @aluisious its £12

  • @nathanheal I was talking about track days on closed race tracks. In California those run around $200 a day.

  • F R E E - download yamaha motorcylce manuals ++

  • suzuki gsxr 750 ?

  • the r1 has more than 150hp

  • well it was the 1999 version... so probably has 150bhp

  • can any1 ride this track?

  • yes, everyone, i was ridden the "grüne hölle" too ;)

  • 911 gt3 is the best looking 911 ever!

  • to bad Jörund bought the last ticket on the ring some years ago :( I really loved to watch his vids from the ring.

  • well my point was not one of grammar it was one of geography, that this is not in nuremburg, or nurburg, or however u spell it.

  • this is not nuremberg, it is around nurberg, hence the nurbergring

  • fail..

    sorry its the Nürburgring

burg is the german word for castle.. berg is the german word for mountain...

its the Nürburgring i dont know any nür mountain..=P

the missing dots on the u are forgiven.. german keyboard and german letter...

  • i hate accelerating on these turns with my zx14r

  • The R1 is the gost rider !!

  • yeah your right and i'm jesus .... idiot

  • no, it will more then likely be The Baron. The God of the 'ring. He holds the record there on an R1.

  • Yamaha R1 would rip posche 911 carerra in straight

  • well...thats common sense,

  • awesome knowledge.

  • Nuremberg? What a looser! XD

  • its spelled loser, don't criticize if you cant spell yourself...

  • Shit. you can awesome at spelling but that's A damn hard word anyways. Idiot

  • lol. you can awesome at spelling. your the idiot

  • lol you can awsome

  • yea i was writing exactly what he said.

  • Sorry but the R1 guy isn't a very fast rider.

  • @BMuu35 Ahmen. If it were me I'd ride the R1 like I stole it.

  • @BMuu35........ The Biker is a fucking DICKhead!!!!!!!!!! If Valentino Rossi was driving this bike the porche will be 5 circuits behind!!!!yep

  • @BMuu35 Have you ever tried to ride a bike fast in 3 degrees? You can see the track is quite dewey.

  • does anybody knows how much it costs to drive a lap on the nuremburg ring?

  • for car like 30€ = 20min and bike riding the 20km lap. I dont know^^

  • R1 Owns , But look , Porsche 4 wheels vs Yamaha R1 2 Wheels ...

  • true true

  • shitty bike rider, need to keep the rpm's wayyyy higher vs that Porsche

  • maybe they are friends following each other ?

  • true true

  • Porsche driver was going at it like he had a deathwish, good lad!

  • Seems to be some confusion between Nuremberg Trials and the Nurburgring Circuit folks!

  • Yes lol! I was researching some history and discovered this pleasant distraction :D Thanks for miss posting! :)

  • i like how everyone is smack talking both drivers.... its the NUREMBURG trials one of the hardest tracks in the world

  • poor effort from the biker!!

  • Nice video , well done

  • very coool

  • sweet

  • Bike might have a decent high end mark, but that doesn't mean he can do it on the track. How hard would it be to slow down to turning speeds from 310 kph? Use your brain youngin'.

  • LOL the rider is shit lol the R1 can max out at like 310km/h and on the straight he doesnt even go it!!

  • i'm sure you can do better......

  • LilBiz132 could do better...and by the way both drivers suck dick at driving....

  • are you even aware of what Nuremberg is and how utterly stupid your comment seems. This is a 1999 R1, it needs more track than is available here in a straight line to get to that sort of speed, and to slow down fast enough to turn?!?!? LOL your retarded mate.

  • i'd like o c you do beter faggot. the fact that hes keeping the car in sight on such a cold morning is awesome. douche

  • that bike could easily outrun the porsche

  • cars are more fast in corners the Nuremberg have lots of corners !:D

  • @kobasica No, not on that tract, Brakes and grip the car has the edge. Plus thats an old r1, the new gsxr 750 has the same power as it. The 2010 r1 though, well thats a different matter

  • @kobasica their is not a chance for the bike i thi=ought everybody knew cars are faster on the track!

  • @kobasica You take a bike out on a track like this on a really cold day and see how hard you can run it.... If it was a sunny 70 degree day it would obviously be different

  • @Bocconb yea, bikes are waaay faster, in a straight line, but most track oriented cars have better handling than super bikes, seeing as they have 4 tires instead of only 2, much more rubber on the ground

  • LMAO at the guy with the ring sticker on his top box hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • fckn crazy, no runoff on that track at all. Good video :)

  • NIce video tho!!!!!

  • Yes, it is pretty obvious they arn't actually racing; the bike is simply just following the Porche around. He could of passed him as early as ~1:08 easily.

  • yeah, and at the start it says theres not alota grip so its probably best not to push the bike anymore than he is, i mean i know i wouldnt have the balls to do it on mine haha

  • with zero run off how crazy would you get on a bike vs a car? plus the getting ran over factor.

  • It's virtually impossible to get ran over, and please don't make me explain why... It should be fairly obvious.

In most cases if he was to come off, he would be fine.

    HTFU.

  • Ok so your an idiot then, thanks for posting!!

  • no, seriously, research cars vs bikes in crashes, nearly all crashes have the rider being flung off. the cases of a motorcyclist being run over from car accidents are almost impossible to find.

case in point: recent issue in hawaii where drunk woman hit a motorcyclist and proceeded to flip her car after running off road, look that one up.

  • I dont have to research shit my best friend was killed on his bike, a semi and four cars ran him over. It happens alot more than you think.

  • 381 bhp actually and even that's conservative

  • the bike knows at the next fucking bend or corner, he'll get smoked so lets face it....whats the point in overtaking...and evn in clubsport spec the porsche has to mny concessions....lose 200kg ( easy) and strap 2 turbos on it...and put the same slicky tryes as the bike has and it'd get smashed anyway

  • The bike will get smoked at the exit of the corner?

    You're funny.

  • It's NURBURGRING

  • lol der mit seinem Koffer hinten drauf xD

  • Spoken like a true German.

    Whatever he said.

  • i said look at the biker with his bag on the motorcycle!

  • You don't sound German anymore.

Ich will dich in meine bette.

  • haha, voulez vous couche avec moi?

  • Oui, hell Jah!

  • Nice for people to be able to experience joining the track through the gates, good vid.

  • @maksy111 FUCK YOU!!!HITLER IS TOT!!IMMER DIE SCHEIß VORURTEILE!!!FUCK YOU!!!

  • fickdich

  • no puede con el porch esmas rapido elcoche k lea moto

  • no puede con el

  • That R1 could of taken that porshe. If u look at the guy tech on the bike you could tell that he hasn't even hit his powerband at all. and not down shifting properly in to the turns.

  • totally agree

  • he says they were racing at nurenberg coz thats where the track is and 2 seconds in it says " lap 120 nurbergring april 14 2001"

haha you just made a nob of yourself ooooh can you feel it i think you can hahaha

  • The video is heavily edited and has only selected footage. The full video (around 9 minutes) is elsewhere on Youtube and it's much better. Bocconb lifted it from the original and reposted. He/she got the name of the track wrong and made themselves look like real dumb dicks.

  • Boccomb didn't insert that text. That was done by the owner of the footage, ie; the Porsche driver. Nuremberg is approximately 400km to the East-South-East of Nurburgring you dick head.

  • we race here nere äteritsiputeritsipuolilautasjänkhä

  • Its Nurburgring not nuremberg

    haha

  • Both of them are flying!

  • could you plz stop this shit about bikes versus cars and cars winning. cose you know its not true they only win on their terms ie, shit weather (in this case) and wide race roads. face it with real roads, cheap price tag and a shit load more fun the bike wins hands down expensive cars are a waste of money, pluse tax is cheaper(if you pay), insurance is cheaper, petrol is cheaper, maintance is cheaper and 0-100km bike is faster. sorry about that it needed to be said

  • i agree i was going to buy a Subaru STI ... instead i got the R1. best thing i did.

  • @fitzmorris all true but in the case of a crash I'd personally much prefer to be in a car.

  • Is this the Nürburgring ring in Germany?

  • yes, I don't know why these idiots are calling it the nuremberg ring they're idiots.

  • If you look closely, you can see Hitler and thousands of Germans. I think it's Nuremberg! ;-)

  • quite boreing

  • why is there a dude on a moped?

  • should be bike vs bike on this track seeing how unfair it is to race cars the nuremberg race track is extremely bumpy for bikes

  • this is not great condition to ride a bike

  • KARAIO

  • very lame video! and even the name/place is wrong! theres only the norisring in nuremberg. the nürburgring is in the eiffel which is 100s of kilometres away.

  • Danke Bruder ! Da sieht man mal wieder das irgendwelche Laien überhaupt keine Ahnung haben aber irgend einen scheiss daher reden !

Wie unser Australischer Kollege da unten... Trottel!

  • Omg, where's the action there ? huh? he drives a few round's, should be amazing? ...

  • FullOfEmptyness=FullOfShit

When did you setup two cameras like these guys and go to the trouble of editing and posting a video?

It's not a race. This is a public track with all sorts of cars and bikes with all types of riders and drivers from the slow to the very fast. It is also a very dangerous track with armco lining the circuit. Not a place to be a hero or a dickhead. GT3s and R1's don't grow on trees. Nor do lives. Nobody in their right mind would drive or ride at more than 9/10ths.

  • boring!

  • And where is your exciting video?

  • i would like to eat that Porche at breakfast!

  • Too bad the R1's power to weight ratio takes a massive shit all over the cars.

  • Not impressed with the riders aggression. His/her average speed seemed around 200+Kph, a good 100 below capability. Also, all that blurb at the start about horsepower? An average supersports bike has a MUCH greater power to weight ratio that 99.9% of all road cars. With certain exceptions.

  • racerbarber i'm willing to bet that you own neither a bike nor a porsche and your really a 15 year old boy.

  • lol, i second your nomination!

  • lol, I'm a 15 year old boy WITH a biker, but you're still right, that guy's a retard, let's go over to his house and steal his porsche(aka his moms '87 volvo she lets him drive SOMETIMES hahahaa)

  • All you own is a big dildo

  • And pigs might fly?

  • awsome

  • That would burn my fave going 200+ MPH at 3 degrees C. Unless that guy has a helmet on lol!

  • ya bu neya hayatımda gordugum en sacma vıdeo zaten sızdende bu beklenır

  • cool I would like to see the porshe driver switch with the bike rider for another race

  • bad bike rider, nada puede en arrancada y velocidad que un R1 jamas podran, solo es un mal conductor = bad bike rider

  • I'm sure the Porsche will EAT the DUST in straight runs. Try your luck next time.

  • anybody saying that the r1 rider wasn`t revving the that high....here`s the reason the nurburgring is fukin bumpy as fuk all over the place,i`m talking tankslappers under really hard acceleration that`s probably why he`s short shifting to keep the bike stable

  • MAM GREAT VID !! wot race trak was this ?1?

  • Im sure that if it was warmer weather the R1's tires would have more grip and would have passed the Porche. and in a straight away the R1 would have left the Porche in the dust.

  • it's my life!

  • bad bike rider

  • i only enjoyed it when u were going above 250 :) I did not just see u go as low as 80!!

  • does anyone where i can get 1 of those yellow beetles from

  • ur leanin retty hard

  • Bullshit video. When the 'race' started, the R1 didn't even try to pass him. Watch the weak acceleration. I guess these were just 2 buddies havin fun. Not a race at all.

  • Yeah, if you look at the video the bike isn't even trying to accelerate hard (can't beat a car off the line? What?!) and the line on the corners is conservative. He comes out of corners in the middle of the road instead of on the other side...so his cornering speed isn't what it could be.

  • If the biker wanted to he could have smoked the 911 on the straights easily!!!! he's gear shifts weren't even that high.

  • is that Nurumberg Germany
