Many people don't know this, but most Apple Refurbished things were never used. Much of the time, they are given, opened, never used, and returned, but open, so it can't be called new anymore.

Less Macs are never used than iPods, which more refurbs are never used.



Could be either. The older generations new ones are sold in clearance, the old generation refurb are sold in refurbished. The new models are sold in refurb also. Depends on which model you click.

Slow hardware? DDR3 Ram isn't slow, and I run Windows also, using bootcamp, so I have a dual booting machine, with pretty good hardware. If I wanted, I could have my Mac boot into Windows every time I turn on the machine. It has a pretty nice Intel CPU also, just like any other PC. Minimal software support? If you need help, just walk into any Apple store, and ask for help.

I have a Macbook Pro, with DDR3 ram, not a Mac Pro, and my Vista experience number is 5.3 without upgrading the hardware at all, which my new HP dv9000 laptop only got a 4.3 number. So your theory on only a Mac Pro has fast hardware is wrong. The Mac Pro has the same hardware as an iMac and a Macbook, the only difference with a Mac Pro is, you have the ability to add more RAM, and more Hard Drives. The CPU is really the only Hardware on the Mac Pro that is a lot faster.
