this video is good,, but i saw weird thing here, like showing the Philippine flag while the audio background is an imam calling for their salah.. quiapo is a christian dominated place and also location of the famous Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene(St. John, the Baptist Parish) i am not against muslim but the first part of the video is really weird to me.

@poolboyinla Christians make a bigger population than Muslims here in the Philippines. In your vid though, it seems you came to a place of Muslim community. The video certainly depicts the true poverty-stricken side of the country and how the Philippine nationals are used to it. And hey, weren't you scared at all eating those foods from the sidewalk? They did look tasty but i'm not sure if they're clean. Anyway, you did a great job and I love the video. :-)

@fues192000 I know that but Islam is still common and it is the second most popular religion in the Philippines. Quiapo is one of the main areas for Muslims in Manila.

I was not afraid to eat the street food, even though it is quite possibly unclean.

@poolboyinla 10 yrs ago, Quiapo was one of those so-called "no-go zones" that you find in europe with a large, segregated, closed-to-society Muslim community (eg Birmingham UK, Malmo Sweden, certain parts of France). Today, Quiapo is low crime, low unemployment area and i feel very safe walking in those streets even at night. and the dibidi business has helped bring peace and more openness to other people's viewpoints among Christians and Muslims in that area, weird as it sounds.
