There is alot more to this than is seen here.

I was in England when this aired and it was not an April Fools joke. It was aired on June 20th, 1977.

It was *intended* to be an April Fools joke, but due to industrial action (ahhh yes, I loved England in the 70s !!) it's broadcast was delayed

I had a copy of the book alternative 3 - It purports
to show how BBC did a fictional story about a place
where the elites esp scientists would go to live - the
thing is - many real scientists and mathematicians etc
have disappeared from great Brit permanently. toWhere?

"april fools jokes" youve all been had
