  • no, im sorry but this still isnt dubstep

  • Useful for cleaning windows I guess.

  • Because the union said they can't dangle from ropes and wash the outside windows, this is how they get it done now.

  • ugly and stupid

  • Its a bit shit and pointless really.

  • imagine if you just got a new job and your office is next to that. bet it gets cold in there in winter.

  • transformers! Buildings in disguises!!

  • that looks pretty crazy, and people are just walking by the building like it's nothing to be alarmed about.

  • what the hell is turning it ?

  • @kit204kat That was the first thing I said when I watched this. There's a link in the description that has more info. I'm gonna see if I can find the answer to that.

  • Useless but looks nice!

  • awesome..

  • the problem is they dont want are fucking help and we want to give it to them if we are going to fix there problems we need to fix ares first

  • The first thing you need to fix is your goddamn spelling.

  • thanks spell check

  • all ppl says, WTF is this for? Art? where?

  • This was actually done in my bedroom while I was sleeping. I woke up on the ceiling feeling quite disoriented.

  • all the people bitching clearly have no idea about art.

  • [rant] Waste of money? No it isn't.

What else would you do with the money? End world hunger? Pftt! We tried that already, we sent a shit load of money to hungry people, they just had more babies and now they're hungry as well. Why? because they live in a fucking desert. They will always be hungry, people aren't designed to live in deserts. Fuck the poor!

I can't think of any better way to spend money than to have a big rotating hole in the wall.

    [/rant]

  • If you study the history of international banking and specifically the work of financial advisors for the WTO and IMF in the late 60's onward, you will see that most 3rd world nations were taken advantage of by predatory loans, which if not accepted, often lead to the death of the person who rejected the loan such as President Moreno of Peru or Omar Torrijos of Panama.

    Please educate yourself.

  • fuck poor countries

why should we get involved with their problems

how bout we do something about the hungry people here, and not in the Africa and etc.

  • We were the cause of their poverty in many countries though. You can't do that and pretend your country is good in any sense unless you try to make up for previous mistakes.

We do try to help hungry people in our countries though. But I do not think we do enough just as we don't do enough for those we have harmed overseas.

  • I never said our country was the best

    far from it

just look at our current president and the previous man in office.

Sure I admit we've been jackasses

but I still think we would be much better off not being the globo cop and only interfere if our safety is at risk

or if we are attacked first

  • I understand what you mean, but I just feel that regardless of our current state we have a moral obligation to those we've harmed (with intent in order to make profit).

  • yeah

dude i see what you mean

  • Yea. And let's not do something about our next door neighbours either? 'Cos technically they're not us. And while we're at it, fuck my housemates/family, they're not me. Why should I care what happens to them and if they're hungry and/or in need?

People like you are selfish. Become human by embracing the need to help others. They need our help, especially as WE as nations of the first world conned them out of money years ago. If you start negative, where do you stop? Better yourself, please...

  • Thank you well sed

  • Dumbass

  • what a big waste of money!!!

  • Clever though

  • this is suposed to be art? please...

  • art ranges from anything to music to illustration...

    don't be rediculous

  • Narrative:

White haired construction guy : " What the hell is so special about this anyway?"

Business suit guy: " It's fucking rotating!"

  • I can do that with my nipples.

  • ok, i get it...it's abstract, like a metaphor...maybe like a monkey with 4 asses. im sure with the money put into this, it at least saves lives or controls global warming? surely it created a few temporary jobs. i bet when it was all over, the people who built were thinking...yeah man, this was a good one! out of all the big ass rotating wall in the building things i've ever built, this one takes the cake. alot better than the upsidedown bridge we built for this weird fucker last year......

  • what part of it says anything about peace, love, empathy?

  • more than amazing!!!!!

    changes in spaces

it´s something EXTRA- ordinary, u can´t see anywhere this

wanna know which is the point of this??? that you can talk about it.......

art is about causing sensations or emotions, no positive, nor negative, just emotions. and bout the money, (anyone can do whatever he want with his money) peace, love, empathy

  • no point to this

  • It's art, it's supposed to be eye catching. Let people do what they want with their own money.

  • its going to leak with a good rain and have mayor wate damage.

  • this is in liverpool just outside moorfeilds train station. Ive been past this loads of times this is a waste of money just like everything else those stupid lamb bannana's and the crap walking spider. but liverpool one is ok they done a good job of that. that looks good

  • How did the accomplish that?

The sheer mechanics of it are mind boggling...

  • I'm with Ghaaast. What's the point? lmao

  • It's frigging awesome, that's the point.

  • who said it isnt decorative art?

and more to the point, what place is it of yours to judge whether it is or isnt?

  • waste of money

  • What's the point???

  • Yes, art is in no way beneficial to society. Great comment

  • Are you serious?

  • yes, as serious as can be. i shook my head and frowned as hard as I could as i typed that comment

  • :D that happens when humans are bored ^^

  • uncyclopedia[.]org/wiki/Scousers

  • 最高!

  • ...........YAAAAAAA!!! XD!!!

  • awsome

  • A lot of people is going to be late when that happens. And it must be windy inside.

  • lolzor creapy..

  • man if i was on mushooms id be freakin out right about now.

  • id like to see them do the same thing on the whole boulding now that would be awesome or has anyone else done it already?

  • it goverment technology

  • do u think it leaks wen it rains?

  • It really is a piece of art!

  • a big one at that! BRAVO!

  • Intereasting, whoever designed that to acctually make it work must be very smart. But I think there time would be better spend doing something else.

  • what is that good for?

  • It's art.

  • Oh cool, that is not a waste of money or time.

  • i can look at that thing for hours and not get tired of it

  • gordon matta-clark, only better, more realized

  • wtf

  • They won't be able to rotate it for long. You don't get much sun in England, so rain will enter the building whilst that rotates. Unless they will just rotate it in july and august!

  • The building is old office space above a Yates Wine Lodge and has been empty for many years. It rotates in all weathers unless it gets too windy.

  • wtf? cool

  • its an architectural intervention by richard wilson

  • Well, wtf? Can't see any purpose for that.

  • I wonder if there is a remote control for it.

I like it, i thik its a good insight into the future of architecture.

  • This video has been selected by our channel as one of the best Videos in YouTube. Thanks for uploading.

    Regards,

    bestofYTchannel

  • Very boring

  • Cool.

  • Such gadgets make the wold go round

  • Here's another video of it: youtube. com/watch?v=ZxnOFjxdvaY

  • I love the fact that so many people are asking what the point of this is. What's the point of any art? To provoke interest and often controversy which is just what this has done. It has served its purpose very well if you ask me!

    Very impressive.

  • in that case that big brown thing i just dropped in the bathroom definitely meets your criteria for art. It provokes interest (what the f is this?) and often controversy (holy crap). this is completely purposeless

  • true, and the money that was spent on the materials and labor could have been put to an infinite number of better uses!

  • why don't replies show up under the comment they were replied to? isn't that the point of clicking reply instead of just adding a new comment???

  • You mean like Piero Manzoni's "Artist's Shit"? You're 47 years too late.

  • this looks really cool IRl, i live in liverpool and its great, shame most people there have the same mentality as the people who posted comments here

  • It's great architecture, design.. whatever. Crazy~!

  • its not construction its sicentoliogy

  • . . .

And why does a construction company waste money on this?

  • I dont understand what usefull practical purpose this would be for, unless its a new space alien way of air conditioning

  • What's wrong with doing something just because it's completely fucking awesome?

  • This can't be good for the environment. Send in Al Gore...

  • Amazing!!!!

  • What the fuck is wrong with you all, can't you see that this is turning youre perspecvtive?

  • So, does this wall actually serve a purpose or is it the Paris Hilton of technology?

  • Ok, there's this thing that you may not have heard of. It's called 'Art'.

Now the thing about art is that it doesn't have any practical, obvious value. But what it's for is to evoke a reaction, to make you experience something you may not have before. if it did something like make coffee or help build a house it would be a CRAFT.

    moron.

  • So if something evokes reaction, it's immune from being worthless in the traditional sense? I mean, true, something having the slightest worth to anyone gives it that immunity, but it still serves no purpose other than being cool to look at for 2 and a half minutes. Definitely not something to warrant elitism and hostility over.

    moron.

  • So, why are you being elitist and hostile then?

  • I guess you don't understand the concept of irony.

  • no, Alanis Morrisette doesn't understand the concept of irony. And you obviously don't know the meaning of Hypocrisy.

    Or Art.

    But thanks for trying.

  • Oh, you're just a troll. I follow.

  • Mmmmm... that must be it, not that I was pointing out the fact that someones statement was so obviously flawed that it needed to be commented harshly on... No, I must be a troll. Way to dodge my point though.

  • OMFG

  • so it doesn't have a practical purpose. so what? commenting on youtube doesn't solve all of the world's problems either, you whiny fucks.

  • Something I noticed while watching this video. If you pause that video at 1:50, you can see a "Roswell rod" or "rods" that passes from the right of the screen to the left at an extremely high speed. You have even better chance to see it if you go back at 1:48 and watch what happens at 1:50.

  • Yeah. normal people call those "insects".

  • Its a rod cleverly disguised as a large moth. You're only seeing what "they" want you to see.

  • It's a bird.

  • HOW THE HELL!?!?!?!???

  • What is the point of that?

  • gay

  • This is ridiculous.

  • cual es el chiste???

  • Think outside te box alittle bit people.

  • sorry... which historic buildings are in ruins?

and its a building in the city centre, opposite a city train station, in the business district. yeah mate... well del trotter.

  • It cost £450,000 and it's getting demolished in 2008 apparently.

  • capital of culture my arse! they are spending millions on new buildings in the town center but all of the historic ones are in ruins?

  • lmao!

  • som1 shoould fix that

    what if is rains?

  • genious! I can't figure how the made it :P

  • Whoever the architect is who designed this should be kicked in the balls and/or vagina.

  • Menuda estupidez... ¬¬

  • In like 35 days, yeah sure.

  • Soul Calibur IV Trailer Perfect Quality ENG In CHANNEL

    And SC2 Trailers

  • it dosent even look fancy....

  • I can just see all the car accidents as people stare at this not paying attention to the road

  • yeh... its not cgi, i walked past it today. i think theyre launching it next week or something

  • ^^ THUMBS UP! ^^ Excellent CGI! It must have took lots of work to do it. For people who thinks this is real, come on, it's fake! They used computer animation graphics to do it. Take a close look!

  • It's not CG, it's just a clever use of two powerfull engines that rotate the wall and travel around the outer circle at the same time. When you see it in real life it makes you feel a little dizzy sometimes.

  • cool! I'm sure they have a reason why they did that alsome!

  • and when it rains...?

  • ... it doesn't rotate ;)

  • ok...so it's cool...definitely...but totally pointless...

  • Yeah.. art is pointless...

  • and what the purpose of that?

  • Completely useless, wat a waste of time and money

  • I agree. This is pointless. Guess there arent any hungry people in the world anymore.

  • go eat yourself.

  • Very, very cool. Unusual concept, impressive execution.

Oh, my comment is out of place here. I meant "this teh ghey."

  • Dude, can anyone make out what Dick Cheney was saying?

  • I think he was saying "What's the point of this piece of crap?"

  • thats just fuckin stupid, even for modern art. theres no point or message

  • It's art. If it had a function beyond "make people stop and look at it" it wouldn't be art.

That said... It's definitely different. I'd rate it a 7, More effort required than modern art, but less thought-provoking than classical.

  • Is it just me, or is this completely useless?

  • this is nice work - thanks for the video.

  • ha ha!

  • whats the point in it?

  • mmmmmkay. w/e

  • Looks neat..

  • Art?? ....hmmmm....

  • what the FUCK is the point of that?

  • This is most beautiful thing I've seen all year.

  • I'm on the internet watching a wall rotate.x_x

  • *LOL* - me 2

  • any rainwater problems in the future? That last frame still looked pretty 'gappy'.

  • i duuno, looks fake. VEY VERY diffuse lighting

  • its a part of the liverpool biennial.

  • anyone got the point of this?

  • thats pretty useless :P.. i just found another 'art concept' building on utube.. heres the link (youtube . com/watch?v=h9Sr5gTR0dA)

  • is this behind Bold Street?

  • thats pretty kewl i want one on my house!

  • Nice thing but the video is quite boring...

  • Hmmmm Liverpool is a city thats pretty far NW of London if I remember my geography lol...

  • Hmmm I'd personally rather they had spent the money on charity...how about college scholarships for the children of soldiers or civilians who've died in the middle east? Something far more valuable than a rotating wall, I think.

  • In case the CEO farts?

  • wtf?

  • Great! Now the poor kids passing by will have some REAL art to look at while asking for food the whole day...

Please do something good with your money...

  • Why did they make it like that is it a museum??get back 2 me plz
