Congrats on the weight loss and keep us posted!

btw, your make up and style is OH SO AMAZING! I might have to make a trip out to Iowa for a class!

  • *lol* girl you are WAY too kind, but i definitely appreciate the kind words. Now that I'm losing weight I'm starting to feel more & more confident about myself & my appearance. :o)

As far as Iowa is concerned - I'm not taking the job. It didn't end up being as wonderful of a gig as I thought & hoped it would be. (I'm making a video this week about it - @ 1st I was sad, but now I'm @ peace w/ my decision)

  • i am SO glad to hear you're doing so well. I'm so glad that God has blessed you with so many opportunities. You look so great!

I'm three weeks out as of Friday, and it really helps to see how you're doing, it gives me a little preview! Maybe on your next video you could talk about what you're eating? That would be awesome!

    God Bless

  • Girl, isn't losing weight amazing. It's like your clothes got big all of a sudden. You are doing a wonderful job. Keep up the good work

  • *lol* my elastic waist jeans just LOVE to slide down all the time. I guess it's time I give them up, but they're so darn cute & they've been good to me. :op

  • You look fabulous! I am so glad to hear from you again. Congrats on all the positive energy surrounding you and your great success on your weight loss journey! I think fitting into smaller size clothes, jeans is almost as exciting as being a candidate for the new position. Keep us posted.

  • I can't say it enough - but I'm so happy I had my surgery. It is one of the absolute best things to happen for me. Because I finally feel like I'm worthy of having good things happen in my life. (although I'm not going to be moving forward w/ the Iowa job, I'm gonna try to make an update video about all of the drama surrounding that entire process)

  • Just wanted to say CONGRADS!!!! Keep up the good work. And remember to follow me also on my journey to Onederland.

  • @KantWait2CTheNewMe - I just subscribed :o)

So that means in a little over a week - I'll be here on the sidelines cheering you on once you make it to the losers bench. Can't wait til you get here.

  • @SweetBabyMatt - in all honestly Matt I swear I'm going to cry when I make it to twoerland. The last time I made it there (in 2005) I took it for granted. This time I'm going to appreciate it, because it's gonna take a lot for me to get there.

& I thought about you today when I noticed the thermostat in my car read -2. *lol*

  • On your way out of the 300's....woohoo!! I am exactly 2 months out today and have lost a total of 41 pounds...I can fit into clothes that I haven't worn in 3 years and physically I feel so much lighter...we're doing this, girl...this is going to be our year! Congrats on the new position, sounds exciting! Hugs!

  • @MsDulceLeche - thanks Sandra :o)

The best part about this journey is having others to share this experience with. I feel like we are all sharing & celebrating these victories/accomplishments together. Just thinking about it makes me want to cry, because for so many years I've felt alone (w/ my fat & shame). But here I feel like a part of a huge extended family & it feels SO GOOD :o)

& just an FYI - you know you owe us a 2 month post op video *lol*

  • Yes ma'am, I remember....I was going to do it on saturday but I was cleaning and looking a hot mess...I'll do it tomorrow when I'm more put together...lol

  • Your an encouragement. Congrads. I pray you get your promotion...... Your promotion!

  • thank you dear - you are so kind :o)

  • It's great that you are doing so well. I hope your results continue to amaze you as you travel this journey towards being healthy! It's crazy how many things can change in only a matter of months. Take care and post updates more frequently if you can! :-)

  • @LapGyrl - I just joined a YT weight loss challenge. So hopefully I will be posting more regularly :o)

  • wait... what is the YT weight loss challenge?

  • @earthtoerin - it's sponsored by thelapbandjourney. It's called "Valentines Weight Loss Challenge". I haven't posteda video yet, but I definitely plan on joining. I think it'll be a great way to keep me focused. :o)

  • Awesome news all the way round.

Great job on the wt loss. You look great and very happy. Keep it up.

Good luck on your new job.

  • @abcooper61 - hey Tony thanks. & CONGRATS on your own good news. I was so happy for you when I watched your latest video :o)

January 18th will be here before you know it & I can't wait to cheer you along my friend.

  • WOOT! WOOT! How awesome are those results! OMG I sooooo understand the tall pants thing being that I am 5' 11".

Celebrate those off scale victories like those size 24 pants!

I am so happy that everything is going so well for you! Keep it up! 2010 is your year!

  • @IntriguingOne - hey fellow tall girl :o)

The thing I find the most difficult is talking about my off scale victories w/ "normal weight"/non-WLS people. (You know - the people that don't know what it's like to not be able to cross your legs.)

& speaking of 2010 being my year - I believe you'll be sitting right beside me in about a week making it YOUR year too. (I'm so excited to you) *hug

  • I hope to be a member of 2010 winners team with sooo many of you guys out there, I am so excited to see what this year has to offer.

  • @IntriguingOne - well you are going to be in great company. & as you already know this is the GREATEST group of people on all of YT. The support here is BEYOND amazing, so in my opinion you have no choice but to do well :o)

  • Girl, I am so happy for you! I cried at the end of your video... I feel exactly the same way you do about my own journey! I don't know what I did to deserve to be so successful right off the bat! You are looking gorgeous---as always! But WOW---your weight loss is so visible! Way to go!

  • @butterflybegins - hey Sherri :o)

Can you really see the weight loss? My mom & daughter say they can see it, but I really can't yet. I think that's why I was SO AMAZED that those jeans fit already. I truly felt humbled, because I have so far to go - yet I feel as if I've accomplished so much already.

There are only MORE good things to come - this is just the tip of the weight loss iceberg :o)

  • woo hoo!!!!!!! Great job soon you will be in twoonderland!!! congrats on the great journey its a great no amazing start!!...love ya...love rosemary

  • @gastricRose - Ms. Rosemary, I can't believe I'm so close to the 200's. It's weird even thinking it's possible. I know I'm going to make a happy dance video, but it'll probably take me a day or two because it'll take me that long to stop crying. (I'm being serious)

I cried just because I could button up & zip those jeans the other day. I couldn't stop staring @ myself in the mirror. I truly was in disbelief. I wouldn't trade my tool for anything in the world. Thanks for being so supportive :o)

  • Oh wow you are looking so great I was clapping while I watched this video! YAY to size 24 jeans and the amazing weight loss...you are working it girl! Also congrats on the new job! 2010 is gonna be your year...own it and rejoice in all the wonderful things coming your way. Great update!

  • @neecyd63 - hey Ms. Denise, I totally I feel your energy & positive vibes. You made my day by clapping - I can't stop smiling as I type. It feels good to know that others celebrate w/ & for you.

You are a perfect example of WHY this community is so wonderful *hug*

  • i love your voice and your soooo put together. i admire that for sure. im only 5'9'' and i have trouble getting pants long enough...you must have real prob. as you lose wt your pants will get longer. im glad your new job is going to be great. waves~~~

  • @crosspecans - thank you my Texas peep.

*lol* do you know I have noticed now that my jumbo thighs are shrinking a bit, my pants have gotten a little longer. Just one of the many off scale victories :o)

  • You GO Girl! I am proud of you. I not familar with the vertical sleeve. sounds great. Keep us posted on your sucess. Are you going to the meet and greet in February? Quick measure your inches, you will be surprise how many inches you lose too. Congratulations on your weight loss and your new job. I look forward to hearing from you more in the future.

  • @imstillstrill - unfortunately I'm not going to the February meet & greet, but I really wish I could. I'm gonna have a lot on my plate w/ the new job. (I'm gonna be taking over the job of a newly fired person. & sadly she doesn't even know her days are numbered. I think she's getting fired the minute I'm confirmed) *a little sad*

Anyway - thanks for the kind words. I tell everyone I know that I love this community, because people come together to support one another REGARDLESS of surgery type.

  • keena!!!!!!!!!!!!! you are doing amazing! and you look amazing! you are going to have to tell us a little bit more about the judge!! good luck with the job! I AM SO proud of you!!!

  • @earthtoerin - thank you Erin. As for the judge, he's about my height & he's really thin. (television & that robe really does add weight to a person)

He is such an animated person - on & off TV. You'd think the fact that he's a celebrity he wouldn't be approachable, but he is. He's so personable, in fact he's exactly how he appears on TV. He loves to tell stories & jokes. In fact I might do a short video about how cool he is :o)

Thanks Erin, now you made me miss living in Chicago :op

  • Good!! Im so proud... U look so pretty.

  • @ericaj021 - thank you SO MUCH for the kind words. After just dropping these few pounds I'm starting to feel pretty. My confidence has probably been one of my BIGGEST off scale victories.

I think "normal size people" like my sister, underestimate how hard it is to feel confident about yourself when you're nearly 200 lbs overweight. With every pound I drop I'm starting to feel more & more like a normal woman.

& CONGRATS on making it to this side fellow sleever :o)

  • You look Fab !!!!! How cool is it that you are melting away and you are so close to leaving the 300's :) And good luck on the job. You will do great :) Jennie

  • @sjsmommie hey Jennie - when someone told me I'd feel amazing within a few weeks of having surgery, I just KNEW they were lying. But now that I'm @ that few weeks mark I now understand what they meant. Now don't get me wrong, I'm not ready to run a marathon, but I am ready to workout more regularly & try things I NEVER thought I'd be able to do.

& leaving the 300's & staying out of the 300's is one of the many things I never thought I'd be able to do.

  • woohoo! almost in the 200s, u go girl! it makes me feel good u feel so good! keep it up and itll be gone in no time. this week is a stall for me i think LOL along with my monthly pal i'm still happy! talk to u soon!

  • @angie2sm - omg, last week I just knew I was done losing weight FOREVER. I was stuck on 323.6 for days. (I know that doesn't seem long, but mentally it does a number on your mind)

Anyway, I stepped up my cardio & next thing I knew I shed 7 lbs, I was BEYOND amazed. & the funny thing is it wasn't even that much cardio. Before I use to literally kill myself working out & would barely lose 7 ounces & now 7 lbs. We have the best tools ever - we're gonna rock in 2010 :o)

  • Wow!! Congratulations on your loss. You are doing an amazing job. Keep up the good job. All the best to you in the New Year. Take care.

  • @sistahonamission - thank you dear & Happy New Year. :o)

  • Ya know what you make a pretty good video. Background trek is that likes a new marathon? lol just kidding. Ya know I have never did a video over. Well damn sister you are in the teens already. Many props for you. You are doing great. Keep on your plan and let those lb's fly off. About that drink. This mean I have to go to what Idaho? lol

  • @TheBypassman - *lol*, right now I live in Illinois, but I should be relocating to Iowa by March.

& as for that drink I'm a traveler (I love road trips), so the drinks don't have to be in my backyard :op

  • I am sooo proud of you!!! You are my new inspiration!!! You look adorable, wonderful, beatiful and most of all happy!! My surgery is schedule for March 13 and now tring to get emotional ready to document my journey her on youtube. Go Girl!!! :)

  • @Brenda0600 - thank you SO MUCH for your kind words. I never thought of myself as an inspiration before (especially since my journey is just beginning) Hopefully as I get further along I can truly inspire others as I've been inspired by those that came before me. :o)

& March 13th is gonna be here before you know it - really start practicing taking smaller sips, smaller bites & eating slower. It's harder than you'd think *sigh*

Good luck & I can't wait til you join us on the bench :o)
