  • I don't like that you are targeting the fact that the chickens are being eaten. The family farm made this civilization possible and you can't deny that at least 50% of the population are omnivorous. I apologize for being critical of your video.

  • Not all egg farms are evil so show the other ones

  • Just to let you know most egg farms that have caged birds are like that those cages are accient and too small most farms have larger much larger. Cages and much less birds in each cage

  • humanity is deeply fucked up.

  • Okay so this seems to be a very bad farm, one that is inhumane and unethical but everyone has that one bad cousin or that deviant family member. There are other farms that have amazing facilities and are state of the art. Why don't you show those farms. Cause its easy to bash on someone or something when its bad cause people like to see bad things....you guys are so biased and uneducated its ridiculous. Go educate yourself first then speak

  • BUY EGGS PEOPLE FROM YOUR OWN COMMUNITY THERE IS ALWAYS SOMEWHERE REAL FARMERS CARE ABOUT THEIR CHICKENS AND WHAT YOU ARE EATING! SCREW COMMERCIAL EGGS!

  • OMG CHICKEN ABUSE JUST FOR EGGS AND MEAT. :(

  • Please stop this indescribably cruelty to animals!!!

    This disrespects the Creation!

It can't be healthy to eat those abused animals!

    Please consider a vegan diet!

  • I started crying at the end. I have pet chickens that I adore and it is incredibly sad to see chickens treated this way. Imagine how unhealthy the eggs and meat must be. It makes anyone want to stop eating them.

  • that why we raise our chicken either than buy those egg from them! they look horror!

  • FYI - free range hens suffer horribly, the only difference is they are crammed in warehouse style houses with the same debeaking, fragile bones, short dirty lifes, and slaughtering practices, you support this every time you buy eggs.

  • i have my own chickens! they have actually changed my life, no joke. they produce better eggs, theyre treated well, and they are so beautiful to look at. they can run around the yard during the day, and slleep with space at night in a safe coop. theyre super sweet, so cute, and funny. I suggest every one gets a few chickens, its the only way to know what goes in your food.

  • Free-range isn't any better. Pastured is.

  • Ok I usually come down against the peta's & other animal activist groups because well I think they are nut jobs! But I have to say that this is f%cked up! Should we raise & eat animals? Hell yeah! Should we treat them like or better than humans? Hell no! Should we at the very least give them a decent life & living environment between birth & the kitchen table? ABSOLUTELY this is just wrong!

  • @yahshuah29 There is a saying that we are what we eat. If we treat animals this way, then we will likely become sick with all kinds of debilitating diseases that will reduce our quality of life. So even if we don't care about morality, our self interests dictates that we should try to improve the conditions under which these animals are raised.

  • @hazzanidin I agree notice that I stated that this was wrong!

  • free range eggs is 3 times the price of cage eggs

  • @Phoenix080805 AND YOUR POINT IS?

  • this wouldnt hapen if everyone grew there own eggs, as for me ill continue to eat mear, go meat!

  • This is just.... wrong. These poor poor animals should not be treated any differently that your common house pet. I have chickens and while they are not free range all the time they have a very happy life. Help me and hundreds of others boycot store bought eggs and buy from your nearest farmer or farmer's market. Help get rid of the terrible things these poor babies are put through. Thanks -Chickengal505

  • To be honest I ate KFC while watching this and now I'm gunna go back for more I'm hungry

  • so called free range eggs do not come from "free"chickens...look it up do some research...humans do not need to eat eggs...they are very unhealthy

  • @REBECCAVEGANLOVE eggs are actually QUITE healthy if eaten in moderation. you should also do some research...

  • @dunorix "Meet Your Meat,"

  • I don't like eggs very much, so I'm DEFENITELY not eating them when I'm older.

  • People should know about chickens before they make any kind of accusations at the chicken farmers. This video is taken in a place where the rules that are not followed are plastered on the front page. People should know that there are rules that must be followed and that the places that follow the rules are not video taped because that would ruin all the noise a person could make.

    EXAGGERATED

I TAKE THIS VIDEO VERY OFFENSIVE. IT DOES NOT GIVE CORRECT INFORMATION. I'M APPALLED! willing to debate!

  • @coolerik91 shut up fool.. no one cares! all i care is that they are poor hens who deserve thier life, how would u like it if that was you?... didnt think so! so shut up! and go away ''coolerick'' more like ''saderick''.

  • @abongnelah Before calling me a fool go to a public library and look up everything there is on farming and chickens Then study a chicken for two to tree years and tell me what happens with the chicken over that allotment of time Then YOU will see who are the fools After your done studying that, you might also look up why chickens start to eat each other cannibalism It is very common in free range chickens That should give you the answers you are lacking Experience and wisdom before words

  • @coolerik91 why wud i go to a libary all i kno is that ur a nerb, and i am buff i can beat u up so shup, fool

  • @abongnelah I seriously doubt that: So now I know the problem your all muscle and no brains.

Now you stop, you have given me no information to prove my point wrong, all your side has is a movie shot the at the worse chicken farm that they could find. I feel sorry for you. You have failed to deliver me prof to prove your point, and failed to be diplomatic. You say: ''I can beat you up because I think I'm smarter than you''

You have failed, so don't even contact me again.

  • @coolerik91 What rules, exactly? There are so little laws protecting animals in factory farms it is disgusting. Do you think this video is just an isolated case? If so, just search Youtube for the 1000+ videos that prove otherwise. But you can keep thinking this is an isolated case or something, hey, whatever makes you feel better having your scrambled eggs in the morning.

  • @Quorina There are a lot of rules it is just the animal owners who are not obeying the law. Besides this video is justifying that all animals should be free range. For those who do not know this I wanted to point out: That chickens that walk free both indoor and out doors gain a lot of diseases and loose there feathers much faster than the ones in cages. tell me how many farms there are in the states and how many buildings and then count how many have been filmed, remember some are duplicates

  • @coolerik91

I agree on 'free range' not usually being so great. Although to me it sounds like you're saying battery cages are more humane? Wow.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding the motives for people trying to debunk animal rights activist films, but it seems to me you're just looking for any excuse you can to avoid the truth. Visit the farm you get your eggs from, if they seem humane or you're not too disgusted to keep eating omelettes, great! But please don't try to speak for all other farms.

  • @NicoleKomarek I have never said that battery cages are good, I prefer the newer cages that have been developed. I don't speak for all farms. I don't have to visit any farm, I own several farms with chickens. Cages, free-range, free indoor chickens, you name it I have it. So you can't tell me that I don't know what's going on. I have been working with chickens since I could walk and other farm animals, thirdly all farmers I know have never mistreated animals like you have shown here including me

  • @coolerik91 I wish more people did there research and realized that this farm isnt like all the other farms and that there is alot of rules and regulations you have to fallow what state are you based in bc laws differ in each state and the there is federal laws instated by the FDA

  • I live here! That's Mt Whitney in the background at 1:21. It's the tallest peak.

  • The beaks are still cut off free range chickens to lessen fights because they live in close proximity to each other. It is an excruciating process for them :(

I wish there was a way invented to have eggs without exploiting and torturing chickens, or any animal that we use for food.

  • they are animals. we need food to live. we humans are not just going to eats fruits and vegetables all of our lives!

  • Yum, I feel like chicken tonight!

  • I wonder how the president of that factory would like it if he was a hen and was put in a cage. People don't think how the animals feel in those small cages. Gosh, I think we should respect animals like we would like to be respected. But I guess no one cares.

  • Intentionally induce pain and suffering? You make it sound like they torture the eggs out of the birds! The whole reason for raising these birds is to make money by selling more eggs. What happens if the birds are sick and unhappy? THEY STOP LAYING. If the birds were not content, they wouldn't produce. It may look awful to you, but the birds don't know anything else so are perfectly happy. They looked scared because YOU WERE THERE. Stop preying on raw emotion and form a viable argument.

  • @ChIck3n115 seriously this guy is a dumbass! He must be unaware of his ignorance!

  • @petunia8864 Ah, I love seeing nice well formed arguments and reasoning instead of just personal attacks! Oh, wait...

Mind telling me how many farms you have visited? Or how many years you have spent raising and studying chickens at the college level? For me it is 13 years as a backyard flock owner, breeder, and shower (and I love my birds). I have visited several commercial houses, and have been a poultry science major for 1.5 years.

Please, explain your side instead of just attacking me.

  • @ChIck3n115 .... That is quite potentially the stupidest thing I've ever read on YouTube. Which is saying something. If you're a poultry science major, I'm a fanciful hat.

  • Wow...

    I'm officially vegetarian now...

  • Even China has better conditions in their chicken farms !

Shame to the us producers !

  • omfg, chickens are a step up (barely) from a reptile. If you don't like that people eat meat, then I suggest you jump in a deep fryer and let us eat you instead.

  • Hallo america : congratulations to your copy of the nazi concentration-camps !

  • @tmtwer234 comparing humans to animals, as you did, is just the same intellectual path that hitler chose himself.

  • @canisdormit ad reductum Hitlerum. Or, you're an idiot. Beyond a larger pre-frontal lobe and opposable thumbs, there isn't much separating us from the remainder of the animal kingdom. Besides which, how is our supposed and debatable 'superiority' a sufficient excuse to treat these animals the way we do? Does it then follow that it's acceptable for us to take the mentally damaged, shock or send a stun bolt through their head, string them upside down, and gut them?

  • @Mishyana I would make that argument in your case, yes.

  • This is sad , it reminds me of the middle passage. The whiteman has oppressed all of God creations. This further proves it. Am I lieing??

  • @travisdevose and yet all of god's creation hasn't been able to stop the white man. Are you sure that god isn't white?

  • @canisdormit Dont worry THE DAY OF THE LORD IS NEAR!!! AND THE EDOMITES WILL BE VISITED BY THE LORD OF HOST..

  • @travisdevose I would suggest to you that you stop typing. You don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

  • its amazing! you give a flying fuck about stupid little chickens..

But won't listen when people point out the mass genocide

    going on against other HUMANS

then again, im sure you agree with the de-population agenda

there's just too many ofus ....right?

    lol how did i guess..

    ------

    by the way....this is FUUCKED

  • Buy free range eggs and boycott these eggs and these fucking sickos will come down to the street.

  • chicken need to be out side walking free fresh air clean water this is not farming, In a building in a cage in with dead chicken rats is not farming, its suffering of the animal, and they should be a shame of them selves for this shit. My Grandfather was a good great farmer.

  • Please, someone needs to release this to the national media! It is too late for those that suffered and are already gone. But, it is not too late to improve the conditions for those still alive! I will only buy free range eggs from now on! I echo the sentiments of those that commented before me!!

  • What do you have to divorce from your soul to work in these places? Go vegan.

  • COME ON PEOPLE - WHAT`S WRONG ? THEY ARE JUST LIVING CREATURES THAT WE NEED IN OUR EVERYDAY MENU .

  • blame the government

  • Together we can all raise awareness of this problem. If you won't go vegan, buy organic meats and dairy from family farms.

  • Comment removed

  • I quit eating food last month, what have you done?

  • free range, according to the USDA, means the animal "must have access to the outside." there is NO time limit specified nor size for the "outside" and as Jonathan Safran Foer describes in his book Eating Animals (which I highly recommend) could be "a shed containing thirty thousand chickens, with a small door at one end that opens to a five-by-five dirt patch - and the door is closed all but occasionally" he also says "I could keep a flock of hens under my kitchen sink and call them free-range."

  • omg.. please help the poor creature... so sad . y are human so cruel...stop this

  • Quite simply, it should be illegal. There is absolutely no excuse. It is both animal cruelty and dangerous for human consumption. If people knew what was going into the animal feed (colourants to make the yolks look yellow, antibiotics, etc.) they would never eat. The FDA or relevant government body needs to act and stop polluting our moral and health system with this crap.

  • I wonder how God looks at all of this.. This is just so awful!! whole world is cruel

  • im still gonna eat eggs, this isnt as bad as fur farms

  • ...AND if you've ever eaten an egg, YOU are GUILTY of this atrocity... Ta-Tummmm And if you ever eat food grown with pesticides, you're poisoning migrant workers. And if you eat organic produce you're allowing deadly funguses to thrive... Just don't eat.

  • i need to stop having eggs

  • this is sick.

    why are people so cruel

  • i was born and raised and i've always been proud to call this my home state. we have the best produce and wine in the country, but this makes me ashamed of california farmers.

  • sss0037sss your an idiot the reason developing countries are going hungry is because a meat eating world doesnt have enough lan and reasources to feed everyone. If the whole world was vegetarian there would be enouh food to go around 9 times over.

  • BRB getting KFC

  • choose organic meat and free roaming chicken eggs

  • We don't have to eat eggs. We don't have to eat flesh. Even if people are starving in African, that doesn't mean WE have to eat eggs and animals. Living on a plant-based diet can bring us more health, wellbeing and even spiritual connection and then we don't have to be part of inhumane treatment of our abused, tortured, and slaughtered animal kingdom.

  • by free range eggs. If everyone bought free range eggs, then these guys would go out of business.

  • @stargazntreki

AM glad thats what our family does :)

  • @stargazntreki free range isn't much better... rather than cages, they are kept in large "ventilated" chicken huts.. which provide not much more space than the cages... Organic, free range, cage free, humane... all these labels for many food industries are fabricated to make consumers think that the animals are treated humanly, and are more sanitary... when in reality, its just all false advertisement ( the only reason its not considered false advertisement is because of the way companies

  • @stargazntreki define the terms free and antibiotic free. ex/ perdue is making a big deal of being "the 1st company to have usda process varifacation. But if you read up on what it really means , from the perdue press release, "We feed our birds the finest natural grain priducts including corn, soybean, and marigold, with no animal byproducts" (animal carcasses) says Perdue. ...(the same thing all big companies feed their chickens)..."Priducts carrying the Raised Cage free Claim are verified

  • @stargazntreki Free Range hens are not treated much better. It is not an acceptable alternative. Stop eating eggs. Research it. Workers still abuse and hurt the chickens, and although the chickens are not caged, they are packed very close together in unclean situations.

  • @stargazntreki You have to investigate what each egg producer calls 'free range', just because the company says free range doesn't mean that the bird is happy running around in the sun eating bugs and grass, it's often just not in a cage in these same style windowless buildings.

  • 1.20 looks like Auschwitz

  • HATE HATE HATE them omg people dont even care about living creatures all they care about is money money mone >:(

  • these are not household pets they are a food source

  • i want to eat im glad i can unlike some african countries that dont have food so i would rather have chickens suffer than me starve

  • I would rather die than live like this. I pay twice as much for free roaming eggs. People should investigate to make sure they truly are caged free or free roaming eggs

  • wow that is sad, i only buy free range eggs now

  • @1freedomfighter11 Too bad "free range" is bogus...do your research!

  • @LindaTipton lol don't presume or assume, I see the chickens running around where I buy mine, i don't live in a big city.

  • @1freedomfighter11 unfortunately there is no governmental regulation of the term "free range", so an egg farm may sell eggs that say free range on the package but really the chickens still endure the same brutal conditions as those that dont say free range. i dont know how you could really be sure that the term is being used legitamately, but if you can find a way, then more power to you.

  • @pengwenwork I by them from my neighbor where i see them running around.

  • one day I'll break into one of those cruelty farm factories and set all the animals free. Then I'll run naked towards the sunset.

  • ahahahahahaha

  • lets face it we hate this video but we love eating them

  • Buy local. Know the producer. I love liberty and capitalism, not big business with no moral duty!

    Re-localize, de-globalize!

  • l'homme et un animal son coeur

  • hey at least these r laying hens, if they were meat hens they would b slaughtered. all of u ppl want to b able to go to the store and buy whatever u want, will this is how the agricultural community has to meet that need. u dont get it unless u live, work or grow up on a farm

  • go hug a tree you overdramatic vegan

  • Just because she cares and is trying to spread the word doesn't make her an overdramatic vegan! You should try to care too it feels good when you see you've made a difference and helped someone!!!

  • that is so awesome.....i wish i can burn all those chickens..ahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • in ontario all battery cages are banned for egg laying hens, that is a real plus after seeing what distress, and harm they cause.

  • this is the real holcaust.

  • Sympathy for food is simply misplaced time and energy. As long as those practices don't harm humans, everything is as it should be. Why not spend your sympathetic emotions on ghetto Americans? Relieving human suffering is more important than increasing the cost of raising chickens. Ghetto Americans are people. Food is not people. More humane chicken raising practices will only increase the price of eggs and mcnuggets, hurting americans in poverty.

  • stupid guy

  • True free-range egg production has been shown to dramatically increase the health benefits of eggs. As someone who raises chickens both for eggs and meat, I can attest that what we find in the grocery store is barely recognizable in comparison.

So, in fact these practices could be "hurting humans", and perhaps it's one of the reasons that Americans are becoming fatter and fatter every year, and increasing the frequency of such diseases as heart disease and diabetes. Yes, I'm an American.

  • u people are so selfish, if u love those fucking animals then why dont you spend your money to save them!

it cost money for farmers to raise and provide space for chicken you know!

  • what is up we woulsdnt be here with out food and eggs SOOO WE NEED IT DOM YOU WANT TO DIE JUST BECUZ AN ANIMAL IS HARMED OR DO YOU WANT TO LIVE A GREAT LONG HEALTHY LIFE! THINK!!!! THERE R PEOPLE OUT THERE STARVING

  • listen we all kno we need food but we can have food without harming animals it won't kill us and we can b healthy without being mean 2 animals and everyday people help the hungry so now let me ask u this...... would u rather hurt animals just for food OR help animals and eat other foods besides eggs like fruit or meat tht is still healthy! u think! this world is made out of a very complex food chain if chickens die the animal tht consumes tht animal dies then tht animal dies and a animal tht eat

  • eats tht animal dies and da animal tht eats tht animal dies and it just goes on and on until the animals we eat are gone and WE STARVE so just think really think about tht or let me put it this way help the world or kill us all. now i kno tht is harsh 2 say but it's true all i'm saying is tht these animals should not b treated this way thts all or we could all end up killin ourselfs

  • well think about it we will die some time right and so will the animals now im not say that animals should be treated like this and i dont like it but its just a way to live a good healthy life while it lastes so there you go cuz they r gonna die anyways so it dosen make diffrence

  • So....................... It's not just eggs or meat that are food they are plant food so we grew and created plant foods so we wouldn't have to harm animals. What if they did that to you made you into meat and made your baby into food.

  • yeah right theyll never be able to do that...face reality.

  • i agree with you love12 people need to wake up..

  • The law passed last year requiring minimum space for chickens, enough for them to move about and perform functions naturally. But the law gives the producers several years to comply (it was 3 or 5 years if I recall.) At least it is a start. This has been the law in Europe and other countries for many years now. It also outlawed keeping hogs in "crate" pens.

  • tell you what this made me really up set. so i am going to work for a farm and assinate the farm man and let all the animals free. but first i need a team. tell me if you want to join

  • your a sicko

  • Does anyone know how the hens are treated that produce Costco eggs? They are extra large eggs and seem to be of good quality, better than most store bought eggs. I heard that "free range" chickens are a misnomer. They are raised in overcrowded barns.

  • no no free range are free range even if it's 2 birds per square foot they mean cage free are over crowded

  • I looked again last time I was at Safeway. All the store had was "cage free" no free range. It's important to know that this says little about the humane treatment of chickens.

  • instead of wasting our tax money on GIVING OUR FOOD A BETTER LIFE.WE SOULD BE WORRIED ABOUT THE KIDS AND THE PEOPLE WHO ARE STARVING IN THE WORLD I WOULD KILL A CHICKEN A MILLION TIMES OVER A STARVING KID HOW DARE YOU THINK OF INSIGNIFICANT ANIMAL is BETTER THAN A HELPLESS CHILDS STARVING YOU SICK FUCKS dont get me wrong i love animals but i just dont love them enough to choose them over people who are starving and would give anything for a god damm chicken to feed their family

  • 1 LB of meat takes about an acre of grain which can be used to feed even more children.

  • we got grain already thats not what they need you know what those children eat their whole lives fucking grain FUCKING RICE,BEANS,PEAS the last thing they need is ignorant people TELLING THEM THAT THEY CANT EAT MEAT BECAUSE ANIMALS HAVE FEELINGS WELL LET ME TELL YOU THAT THOSE PEOPLE THAT ARE STARVING HAVE MORE HEART THAN A FUCKING ANIMAL...

  • Wow...Carlitros...I think you just go around copy and pasting the same comment on every video you come across.

  • its the same video i had to post it twice because some people might get too bored and not go to part two of this crappy video and i wanted them to read that

  • Very Informative. Ban them all. We can force ourselves to find sustainable, ethical and organic ways to feed ourselves. Simple as that.

  • What goes around, comes around.

  • wow that was sad

  • My two cents on the subject, if you want really good eggs anyway. Don't buy them. Raise your own chickens. Since I was like 4 my family off and on had chickens for eggs. They were much better then anything at the store and you get a free really annoying alarm clock.

  • Yea! im getting about four eggs a day, and my chickens are very happy!

  • who cares? i want mine sunny side up

  • ok lets build more laying houses then. How bout your back yard?

  • i don't eat meat and i only eat the good eggs, not this eggs, this eggs are bad!

  • God that place is a shit hole.

  • only in.... America!

  • GET A HEART YOU BLACK CUNT

  • Prop 2 is FLAWED! If prop2 was about animal welfare it would apply to all eggs SOLD in CA--not just produced in CA.VOTE NO on prop 2! Our legislature can do better. Prop2 requires 5 ft per chicken (enough room for each chicken to extend wings without touching another bird) x 19.9 million chickens.Prop 2 drives existing cage free operations out of state.Animal welfare balances space against protection from elements, temperature controlled environments, access to feed, and protection to predators.

  • Thank you for posting this video! Most people don't know where their food comes from. If Californians pass Prop 2 next month, these horrific egg factories will be phased out in a few years. Humane treatment of farm animals also means healthier food on your table. Several states and the entire European Community currently have similar laws. Five Stars!

  • wow...awesome quote

  • Californians be sure and vote YES on Prop 2 this November. Horrible to think there is so much suffering behind getting a dozen eggs.

  • I am done with eggs.

  • Poor chickens! What a horrible life they have to endure, only to be brutally and inhumanely killed in the end. :o( I read somewhere that even though free range chickens live a better life, they still end up at the same place other chickens are tortured and killed.

  • Google "free range myth". Many "free range" chickens never even go outside.

  • Everything you see is what you DON'T do to a chicken! Poor little things. 5/5!

  • And by the way organic food is not all that organic unless you grew it or a friend you dont know what was used in the process so learn how to urban farm talk to your neighbors start a garden.

  • most cities allow a certain # of hens as long as they cant wander off your property so buy some layers let them forage your yard for bugs and eat the best egg you have ever had with minimal work.

  • i consume around 20egg whites a day....seeing the poor conditions, i wonder if these eggs are messed up with any bacterias or hormones?

  • We are called to be good stewards for the earth. Crueling treating the animals that sustain us is not being a good steward of that animal. I would rather forgo the accessories in my life so that I might afford to eat organic grown, ethically raised foods.

  • just for everyone who keeps saying "worry about humans instead of chickens"...

that sure sounds a lot like "worry about humans instead of n*ggers"...that was a perfectly acceptable statement at one point. the bottom line is, anyone who supports or chooses to ignore this kind of careless abuse is likey to be an abusive, violent & dangerous person. they are without remorse or compassion, perhaps without a soul.

how's that for worrying about humans?

  • I am ashamed of being a human being=)

  • In Holland this kind of 'egg industry' is almost banned! :)

  • Worry about the people instead of freaking chickens???!! People are eating these chickens! It's the peoples' health your talking about to just let it be. Watch the youtube video Meet your meat, you'all understand what I'll mean

  • I agree! I rescued 3 hens that would other wise end up like this. They are Pearl and Maggie and Blondie all in peking order. They Make great pets!! I also help the childrens hopital and donate to abused children. There is alot of evil in this worl only God can fix it and we can only help until he takes care of this evil. Every day Children, Elderly and Animals are victims of cruelty. Thank You for posting this Vid.

  • well actually eating those i think thats not very healthy its lyk eating SHIT U DUMB ASS

  • u ever thought ppl could do both? u idiot

    -.-

  • Yessss. I work at Lunardi's.

  • thats just barbaric

  • It's animals, people - why don't you worry more about the genecide of babies in America???!

  • because animals are important too!

  • retard -.- u can help both at the same time stupid, ITS NOT THAT HARD!! geez

  • All of this just so you can buy cheap eggs and meat to profit the monster industries mass producing and torturing animals so that can charge less and make more because they can outdo another company who may do it humanely, which costs more. Its all about money. Vote with your dollars!

  • My spirit weeps over such treatment. I buy organic eggs from humane farmers.
